How to unlock the Sphere Complete achievement in Lost Planet 3 - Definitive Guide
Credit Boosting:
Many different ways to boost credits. These will depend on the number of players you have and what you have unlocked at the time. The best mode I've found, to play was 3 vs 3 Akrid Survival on Research Lab. Playing on Research Lab will also give you the opportunity to earn:
In the last phase of survival, there's a Credit control point. If captured by your team, you earn credits while standing in it. (35cr per second w/ the Credit Booster ability equipped). This is where you'll meet up to do your kills. You only need 2 people to start a match, but you'll have to deal with randoms from time to time, unless you have 6 people in your boosting party. I averaged 37k credits per 11min match with just 2 other accounts. You could probably get more credits with more people. Ideally, get 6 people together and pair up for kills. Alternate which team will control the capture point for that match.
Tips:
As soon as you can, unlock and equip the Credit Booster ability. It will give you roughly 10% more credits overall. It's location on the sphere is down-left x2 cells & left x1 cell, from the starting position. I found that assassinations gave you the most credits per kill. Simply stand behind your opponent and push in '', when instructed to. You'll get kill-streak bonuses as well. Each kill will also give you T-Eng. Don't let it go to waste. Make sure you're throwing down deployables (an ammo pack or a shield) for additional credit bonuses. If you've unlocked 'Hacking', you'll earn 625cr per hack. Have the opposing team throw down an ammo pack, hack it and drop it down for your team.
Emblems:
The sphere also contains some yellow cells, scattered about. These are 'Pro Challenge' cells. You must earn enough emblems to complete the cell. In order to earn 1 emblem, you perform what is described, 3 times. (i.e, 1 Demolitions Expert emblem would require you to destroy 3 enemy deployables)
The video below is my last MP match, just before unlocking all cells. It'll show you the method that worked for me and where certain things are located on the sphere.
These were the loadouts I used in the video:
Loadout 1: for final phase
Secondary :: any weapon you prefer
Grenade :: Disc
Deployable 1 :: Shield
Deployable 2 :: Hacking
Ability 1 :: Grenadier Pack
Ability 2 :: Credit Booster
Secondary :: any weapon you prefer
Grenade :: Disc
Deployable 1 :: Shield
Deployable 2 :: Ammo
Ability 1 :: Grenadier Pack
Ability 2 :: Credit Booster
Get the Pulse rifle IMMEDIATELY, then unlock the driller rounds for it. It absolutely destroys the wardeyes. Also, with the driller rounds you gain TE while shooting them and you gain a "thermal vampire" bonus for lots of credits.
You constantly want to be deploying ammo packs to fill up your driller rounds. Don't use any other ammo so the ammo pack only fills up your driller ammo. You should go through the first two phases of the match only using driller rounds. I was averaging 30 wardeye kills & 0 - 1 deaths. My personal best was 37 - 0. The pulse rifle is that good.
The amount of TE you get from those driller rounds is great. I always ended up with 1000TE (which is the max you can have) at the end of the first 2 phases. You want as much TE as possible for deployables.
It's also important that you camp next to crates in the first section & camp up on the catwalks on the 2nd section. Weather its the snow pirates or NEVEC side. I personally prefer NEVECs side. You will die a lot at first but going for the full sphere you will get quite good & start wrecking wardeyes soon enough.
Doing a boosting session with a full group of 6 is no good. The matches always ended prematurely, with like 1 to 2 minutes remaining. If you got 20k in credits you where lucky.
I found using 3 people is the best. You can work on the challenges that require 3 players. Also you get lots of credits via deployables. Whoever is paired up for the first 2 phases take turns and deploy harmonizer fields and ammo boxes to heal/supply yourself & your partner. Doing that & killing Wardeyes with the driller rounds gives crazy amounts of credits.
If your alone, after phase 2, spend all your TE on deploying T-ENG shields. You get a lot of credits just deploying that over and over. That is unless your boosting partners needs you to deploy something for them.
For the final Phase of the map whoever is winning can go ahead and capture the point. Then just do assassinations, hacks using the nanothief ability and constantly be deploying shields or whatever you prefer. You can also destroy other players deployables for points as well.
You can easily get over 40k a match & maximize your points when its not even your turn. I got 40k a couple times when it wasn't my turn.
The only issue you will deal with is randoms. While the game is dead there are still people out there who play it. At first I thought if I played early in the morning I would avoid them but honestly they are around at all times. Then there are some leaderboard whores that just want to mess things up and get pissy if you boost. You will get spurts though that no one is on, you just have to be patient. Unfortunately there is no way around this.
Hope this information proves to be useful.
After the update people claim that multiplayer is slightly broken And it is true
If you have unlocked some weapons/granades leave the game, they Will be gone by next time you Come online. Rumors that its backwards compadible isues And Must make save file in campaign by reaching check point also is misleading. Cuz that dosent work. Buying dlc also dosent work. Since you neēd over 1360000 credits to unlock all 75 weapons it is not posible to do in one go. Thats way you GRIND ALL CREDITS FIRST!!!!!! THEN MAKE FINAL SESIONS FOR EACH MEMBER FOCUSING ON BUYING AND DOING A
ALL WEAPON CHALANGES ONLY.
If after you have had grinded all the mony nesecery And didnt bought all weapons iņ one go before going ofline you Will be reset to 0.
So what you want to do is folowing.
Recomemded boost with 4 people ON mode 3v3 Acrid survivalap Reaserch lab(it Will start as low as 2 people) .
Host create A game. Blue team is top one, Orange is botom one. If here āre uneven numbers they Will be placed automatickly in blue not Orange team. Keep that iņ mind creating team. All maches after will moust likley make teams iņ same order, besides rotaiting one person.
Online here is dead no one plays it. Just some casuals with no gamerscore wobles iņ time to time checking if some ones there. Posted By 01.05.22.
Survive first Two boring wawes of acrid iņ coming.. Third wave- 1 team(blue or Orange) captures control point And makes 30€ ewery second. Team Two comes sucrifice themselves for assasination kill(presing righ jostik from behind) moust points y kill.. With only amo pērk bought Team one drops amunution while teamate pick it UP by reloding hes gun. Does this for FINAL 5min of the game. Repeat for bought teams. Usualy gets 20k ON awaradge.
Since there āre no other bonuses you can do cuz you cant by New weapons its the Best solution.
Ps buy sphere wich give you 25% Credit increse.
Note dont touch any loudout afterwards. Game dosent reset your loudout with sphere till you go iņ iņ them.
*This is an online achievement*
This requires you to buy all 100 items in the sphere. You can access the sphere by pressing in the multiplayer lobby or game lobby while waiting for a match to start. You have to purchase items with Zenny (like XP), which is earned for doing things in multiplayer matches (can only earn Zenny in player matches). The sphere consists of Characters, Weapons, Specialty Ammo, Upgrades for weapons, Abilities, Upgrades for abilities, Deployables and Deployable Upgrades. There are also 13 skill items that require you to collect Emblems before being able to unlock them. Each item counts as 1% (there are 100 items) and your rank is based off this: whatever your percent is that’s your rank (shows percentage in the sphere and rank next to your gamertag). Items cost anywhere from 8,000-35,000, characters cost the most. The total amount of Zenny needed to complete the sphere is around 1,300,000. You can earn anywhere from 10,000-40,000 Zenny a game depending on your methods, game mode, and skill.
This is probably the longest single trophy in the game. Note the word “long”, as this is not hard at all, just a bit time consuming. There are 100 cells that make up the sphere in this game, each one is unlocked by credits which you earn by playing the multiplayer: killing people, through bonuses that you can earn such as killing 3 enemies in close proximity to one another, and by completing objectives. The sphere cells are basically either weapon or player upgrades and playable characters.
You can access spheres by pressing in the pre-game lobby or at the main mutiplayer menu. Most sphere cells can be unlocked through purchasing them with credits however a select few must be earned via specific requirements. These cells have a yellow outline to them. For example: 2 sphere cells must be unlocked by getting kills with the proximity mine, for 1 cell you must get 25 proximity mine kills, the other requires 10. These cells with the yellow outline must be manually tracked by pressing over them whilst in the sphere otherwise your progression will not count. You then just press over them to unlock them like any other cell.
The cells range in price, some are only 12000 credits whereas some can go up to 35000 credits. The best way I know of for this is as follows: Play 3 vs 3 Akrid battle on the map Research Lab. Select your abilities as CREDIT BOOSTER and HACKER. Then choose your deployables as Ammo Pack and the Deployable Turret. Make sure your enemy (boosting partner) has ammo packs equipped too. Also, select the Pulse Rifle and the assault rifle as your weapons. Equip the T-ENG driller rounds to the pulse rifle when you have unlocked them from the sphere. These allow you to get some T-ENG back when shooting at Akrid as well as issuing you the “Thermal vampire” bonus in game for 125 points each time you drain 50 points of T-ENG from enemies. The first 5 minutes of the match will be you just killing the Akrid, gaining XP and T-ENG as you do so. As soon as you have collected 1000 points of T-ENG by collecting it from dead Akrid and from the T-ENG driller rounds, start throwing the ammo packs down by pressing left or right on the D-PAD (depending in which slot you equipped them). After 5 packs have been laid down you will be awarded with the “Architect” bonus for +250 points.
Once you hit the 5 minute mark, run to the area in the middle of the map where the zone is and capture it. Stand in this area constantly as you will be granted 35XP every second whilst you remain standing in the capture zone. Place down a turret in this area. Your boosting partner should keep running to you and using the T-ENG they amassed from killing Akrids to lay down a single ammo pack. They should then proceed to die via your turret and then you must hack their ammo pack. Killing your partner 1x with the Turret will earn you the Turret Time award and killing them 3x with the turret in a round will earn you the Turret Syndrome award. Both of these awards can be earned multiple times per round. Hacking the ammo pack each time will earn you the Cyberman ability which gives a respectable 625 XP. With this method you can expect to earn in the region of 35,000 xp per match.
1) get 15 Special Delivery emblems, just try to use it more often, it's an easy slot.
2) get 20 “Harmony” emblems, this cell is already more difficult, I advise you to use it in the “Survival among Akrid” mode or when your comrade is killed, try to heal him and throw a proto-harmonizer, in 50-70% he will choose to heal rather than go ahead with 25 %HP.
3) get 10 Guardian emblems, easy slot, just use it more often and get it over time.
4) get 10 "Gotcha" emblems, middle slot, first take the "Sixth Sense" ability, then during the fight, target the enemy and he will be marked, he must be killed by your teammates, which sometimes makes the task more difficult.
5) get 20 Cyberman emblems, middle cell, approach the turret or proto-harmonizer and even the MINE, but not very close and press Until you capture it, they give you 625 credits for capturing it, which is quite a lot.
6) get 25 "Proximity Mine" emblems, middle cell, try to place them in an unexpected place for the enemy and accumulate emblems over time.
7) get 25 “Turret Time” emblems, a heavy cell, a very long and heavy cell since turrets deal 8 damage. I recommend using the “Nanovor” ability and starting stealing turrets one by one and farming enough to kill the enemy in 3 seconds.
01. Mode - "Survival among the locusts."
02. Map - "Shelter Alpha".
03. Equipment set : a pulse rifle, preferably with cartridges that steal T-energy, a grenade launcher, device No. 1 - a box of cartridges, device No. 2 - a proto-harmonizer (first aid kit), the remaining passive abilities - to your taste.
04. The minimum number of players is 3 (2 on 1) . It is best to invite one of the boost participants to your team and only then join with him the third boost participant, who will “host” the game. This way you can easily control who will directly boost the emblems during the round.
At the same time, the presence of “leftists” who can prevent you from boosting does not matter, but only those players who will be on the same team will be able to receive/boost “Harmony” emblems.
05. It is highly advisable to have a headset, but even better - Skype and all three of you can sit in a Skype conference.
The algorithm is as follows:
01. The two players who will be boosting the “Harmony” emblems in the current round must each have time to score 800-1000 T-energy points on the first wave of small locusts. To do this, you need to actively move around the initial location and use the auxiliary cartridges of the pulse rifle. It's really easy. Don’t forget to pick up T-energy from dead locusts and don’t waste time raising your partner; if you die, it’s better not to wait, but to immediately respawn and run into battle.
02. Then both players move to the very beginning of their location, to their base/respawn and stupidly stand facing the wall. They choose a grenade launcher as their main weapon and begin to carefully shoot at the wall in such a way that each person removes a certain amount of health from himself. At the same time, do not forget to throw first aid kits and cartridges to each other when the charges for the grenade launcher run out.
03. On the second wave of monsters that are larger, you need to stupidly continue to boost. The monster cannot get to your base/respawn and therefore will not be able to interfere. Nor will players from the opposing team be able to interfere, since they will be blocked within their location until the start of the third stage of the round.
04. At the third stage of the round, you need to stupidly continue the boost, not paying attention to anything around. However, at this stage, players from the opposite team will be able to run to your respawn and prevent you from boosting, creating hellish chaos)). But in most cases, opponents prefer to capture the central area in order to pump up credits.
05. This process is very long and at first you will get no more than 2-3 “Harmony” emblems per round. But as soon as 10 such emblems are received, at the end of the round you should go to your sphere of progress and open an improvement for the “Proto-Harmonizer”, which speeds up the healing process. Thus, the remaining 10 “Harmony” emblems can be easily obtained in 2-3 rounds, i.e. approximately 4-5 emblems per round, depending on skill.
"Expert Demolition" emblems are best made in the "Similar Players - 5V5 Mode - Scenario - Citadel map" mode. The one who dies puts the “Ammo Kit” perk, accumulates T-energy and throws cartridges, the one who boosts destroys these cartridges with a fragmentation grenade (one emblem is issued for destroying three enemy devices, 10 emblems in total).
PS We boosted together with a living person and a third console. Result - 15 hours 36 minutes.
