How to unlock the Perfect Passer achievement in Madden NFL 20 - Definitive Guide
After
in the Madden NFL 20 Face of the Franchise mode, you will head to the combine. For this achievement, We need to throw 24 passes in a row at the combine, and get the receiver to catch it in the landing zone without missing one. No checkpoints, either. Yeh…
Luckily, it only takes 5-7 minutes per attempt (took me 4-5) and the loading cutscene is approx 1 minute with loading.
Completing the passes is easy, but they also need to land the catch within a specific landing zone, or you fail the pass and will have to restart. All that matters is where the receiver’s feet land AFTER the catch, not where they catch the ball. If you’re struggling, you’re probably throwing the ball too late, not too early.
Before each throw, their route will be shown. Be sure to look at this so you know the route they take. Generally, you want to throw the ball with bullet passes (hold the button), and throw it just after they make their final route turn, but there are exceptions.
If you miss one, just quit out and load back in. You’ll have to watch a cutscene, but its only around the 1-minute mark as mentioned.
Part 1/4 (6 throws):
The first 4 throws are pretty easy, just ensure you throw a bit before they enter the landing zone. Remember, always hold the receiver input for bullet passes.
The 5th and 6th throws are trickier. You’ll need to throw the ball almost immediately after the turn. With practise, you’ll get the timing.
Inputs in order: B, B, Y, Y, RB, RB
Part 2/4 (6 throws):
The first 2 throws are easy, just throw as soon after they make their turn (especially the second).
The 3rd and 4th throws aren’t too tricky in of themselves, but the receiving window is very stingy. My advice is to throw the ball immediately, and I mean immediately, after they divot.
The 5th and 6th throws you need to throw AS they are divoting, as it is a less harsh turn.
Inputs in order: B, B, A, A, Y, Y
Part 3/4 (6 throws):
The first 2 throws are easy. Just ensure that you throw the ball a little bit after they start making their straight run.
The 3rd and 4th throws aren’t too bad, either, but the toughest of the bunch. You’ll need to throw immediately after the turn (even as they are turning), however, they are less likely to overshoot as it’s on the side line.
The 5th and 6th are the easiest, in my opinion. As they are making their small divot, throw the ball. (remember, less sharp divots = shorter times turning).
Inputs in order: RB, RB, B, B, B, B
Part 4/4 (6 throws):
The 1st and 2nd, throw a bullet pass JUST as the receiver is crossing the 50. Don’t get caught out by these and throw too late, I did this twice.
The 3rd and 4th, throw the ball just after the divot. Ignoring how tense you may feel; these are pretty easy.
The 5th and 6th throws are the toughest of the lot (obviously). You’ll need to throw the ball as they jog on the spot, don’t be followed by the speed reduction, the landing zones are pretty much right after. Throw it as they pause and you’re good.
