How to unlock the No Hole Too Deep achievement in Major League Baseball 2K11 - Definitive Guide

I managed to find a really easy way to do this one. First obviously get in an 0-2 count. Then go to the difficulty sliders > CPU settings > Pitching. Turn the AI strike zone tendency down to 0. The opposing pitcher should throw 4 straight balls after that. I had one pitch that was awfully close so be sure to watch it just in case.

*Good for getting "A Virtue" as well.*

I suggest doing this with an edited player with max stats or a player with good contact numbers at least. I used Joe Mauer and moved him to the first spot in the lineup as the Road Team. That way, your team bats first and Mauer (or whoever) is first to bat. May want to go after an edited pitcher as well.

Now, you likely know already a full count is three balls, two strikes. So your strategy should be to swing and miss intentionally twice. Now, take defensive swings if it is strike or close to one. This is when you flick the analog left or right and you usually shoot it foul. Your good Contact numbers will help here, as players with low contact will miss or pop it up for an out more frequently.

When your sure it's a ball let it sail by four times for a walk. Getting hit by a pitch doesn't count as a walk, has to be four passed balls.

At an 0-2 count, batters are usually more aggressive. So lay off the ball.

If you're certain the pitch is going to be a strike, then try to foul it using a defensive swing (Push the right thumbstick right or left to swing defensively).

Don't expect to be walked if you're facing someone like Roy Halladay, or Cliff Lee. They walk very few pitchers.

I'm just wondering how you defensive swing. I can power or contact but I can never just foul balls off.

This can be tricky as you need a good eye to tell which pitches are balls and which pitches are strikes.

Take two quick swings to put you in a 0-2 hole. Then keep an eye out to see where the ball looks to going. If the pitch is either too high, too low, or out on the edge, then the pitch is a ball. If the pitch is near the middle of the plate, around your player's waist to chest area, then it is a strike. If you think a pitch maybe a strike, then take a defensive swing by moving left or right to compact your swing to give you a foul ball. Get four balls and the trophy is yours.
