How to unlock the Plot smasher achievement in Mars: War Logs - Definitive Guide
When you defeat the monstrous chapter 3 boss and resolve its aftermath, you can proceed directly to your faction leader to conclude the current quest and move on to the final segment of the game. Nevertheless, you may have depleted your consumable inventory with the intense fights at the end of chapter 3. Accordingly, it may be prudent to first go to the village and replenish your stocks. Not only does the final section of the game start with combat (following some cut scenes) but there will be no more merchants available from this point on.
Once you are satisfied you have completed all the side quests you set out to do and optimized your inventory, tell your faction leader you are ready. You will proceed to the final section of the game and the achievement will unlock.
Story related, cannot be missed.
This trophy unlocks in the mission "Political Prisoners" after defeating the bosses, see below for some boss tips:
1st Boss: Drilling Worm
Before starting the mission make sure you have health injections and Nailgun ammo. First is the worm, his attack patterns are easy to notice. When he comes near you go smack his face (staying on his right side seems safer as he can get stuck doing the same attack with his left jaw that can't hit you) and when he back away, roll to towards screen. If he lowers the skull mask then don't go try to attack him.
2nd Boss: Technomancer leader
With the help of your friend, this is easy. Just beat him and roll if tries to hit you. The Nailgun does good damage when his shields are down.
Story related, unmissable.
After fighting the giant worm, and taking out the Technomancer Boss, you will need to return to your faction leader (Marco or the General) and discuss your next course of action. Once you decide to head out to the Source and deal with the Technomancers, the achievement will unlock.
After destroying the worm and the technomancer, and freeing the prisoner, run back to Marco, after talking with him, the achievement will open.
