How to unlock the Strongest One There Is achievement in Marvel Heroes Omega - Definitive Guide
Pra1s3Th3Sun's guide above is great, however if you want another option that I found to be a bit faster due to not needing any real equipment to grind for, then Angela is the heroine to use.
If you did not select Angela as your starting character then do not fret: she is only 200 Eternity Splinters to unlock. Just unlock her, get her to Level 60 to unlock the Cosmic trial and get some relatively decent gear (I did this with some blue gear, so you really do not have to grind to get anything outstanding for this with her), and basically spam one move:
Hypnotic Ribbons
That move alone is seriously broken AF - it confuses enemies for 4 secs, which essentially turns them on each other. During that 4 secs, they get a dmg buff of +2k on each other, Angela gets health regen active (to gain anything you might have lost and spare the use of medkits) and if you have Heaven's Wrath active, then it has no cooldown for two or three uses.
It does have a 10 sec cooldown normally, however you can mitigate that with the Flying Ribbons talent (takes it down to 7-8 secs).
That move, along with Angela's crazy bleed DoT attacks, makes her insanely overpowered for nearly everything in this game, cosmic trial included. Having the enemies kill themselves literally turns down the difficulty dramatically. Below is the talent setup and moveset I used:
TALENTS
Relentless (Level 32)
Soaring Huntress (Level 38)
Flying Ribbons (Level 44)
Guardian Ribbons (Level 50)
Mastery of the Blades of Ichor (Level 56)
MOVESET
= Hunter's Blades
= Hypnotic Ribbons
= Angelic Smite
= Heavenly Charge
Skills can be anything you prefer, the moves above are the ones that really give you the most bang for your talent setup. Obviously having your signature move in the Skills is helpful .
With this, every offensive move uses ribbons, and the ribbons cause bleed. Plus, you got the Hypnotic Ribbons making everyone hit each other instead of you. And, if you hit someone like a boss with Hypnotic Ribbons with no one around for him/her to attack, then they simply stand still and let you wail on them for 4 secs .
Also, I discovered during my Cosmic Trial attempt that if the boss goes down (Mandarin or Red Skull) before the other enemies are defeated, then that annoying timer also goes away. I had 3 of the yellow elite mechs essentially defeat Mandarin for me, and I noticed the clock vanished. I took my time to defeat the last 3 enemies, and the clock came back when the next stage started. Not sure if that will be helpful to someone, just an FYI I guess.
Questions, corrections and neg vote justifications below.
EDIT: As of 11/27, the MHO servers have been taken down and the development team is in the wind. This, as well as all achievements, are now discontinued.

Totally agree, Hypnotic Ribbons is ridiculously OP. But I still want to pass the trial with Scarlet Witch.

If I recall correctly, she has Bewildering Hex which acts like Baffling Dialogue and Hypnotic Ribbons. The only crappy side is it has a 15 sec cooldown, but there is a 20% chance on use to have that cooldown reset...(still not that good, but hey it is something)

Trials are the games way of increasing difficulty. After level 11 you can access the heroic trial from any teleportation pad, and the super heroic after that. Cosmic is the final level of difficulty and cannot be attempted until level 60.
After beating a trial, press before teleporting to any area to change the difficulty. This will grant you increased credits and EXP and allow more powerful gear to drop frequently.
The key to cosmic trials is proper gearing. You will want your character fully equipped with super heroic (purple) gear in all slots. Make sure the secondary effects of the gear benefit your play style. If you're a ranged attacker then you want + ranged damage on your gear for example. (If you don't know what type of attacks you're using, go to powers in the skills menu. Every power will have tags on the right hand side eg. Melee, Movement, Ranged, Magic etc).
I would say a major lifesaver in this trial is the "invisibilty when using med kits" perk. The easiest place to find this is on the Elektra medallion, however you can get it on certain catalysts. If you can find a ring which boosts your health, this will also be of benefit!
It would be ridiculous to try and give build advice for every hero in the game, so I'm going to share my build for Squirrel Girl. She's a very powerful and very cheap character, and therefore one I imagine most achievement hunters will have. This is also the build I used to beat my first cosmic trial, before having a single piece of cosmic gear.
Powers:
- Dire Squirrels
- Squirrelpocalypse
- Sic 'em
- Forestwalk
- It's Raining Rodents!
- Acorn Artillery
- Squirrel Presents
- Baffling Dialogue
Talents:
1 - Hulkbuster Squirrels
2 - Girl's Best Friend
3 - Squirrel Special Forces
4 - Pick 'Em Apart
5 - Squirrel Stampede
Gear:
The truly important things I had here were the Elektra medallion, a + health ring and my artifacts. The artifacts I used (and strongly recommend) are - Mask of Doom (guaranteed drop from story), Wicked Wand of Watoomb and Nutso the Squirrel (both very common drops in patrol).
The bread and butter of this build is Baffling Dialogue. This boosts enemy damage to an insane level, and causes them to attack each other. They'll rip each other to pieces faster than you ever could attacking directly. Other than that, it's just staying mobile and dropping your other skills as soon as they're off cooldown. They're all incredibly high damage, and the summons from this build tend to keep the enemies distracted while you cast. If you get hurt, dodge away and use your medpack.
An important thing to keep in mind; when the bosses appear use to highlight and focus all your attacks on them. Baffling dialogue will keep working its magic on the mobs, you want all your DPS hitting the boss.
Watch for red circles on the ground. The AOE electric from Mandarin and grenade from Red Skull will basically instant kill you if you don't dodge them.
Other than that the only thing to remember is not rush. It's better to just keep running away, wait for your cooldowns and hit them from a distance than to stand there spamming your main attack.
Overall though I can't stress enough how important gear is. I spent hours failing this trial, then swapped my gear to the ones I listed here and a few pieces of armour which gave +20% health on medpack use and I passed it first try. If you keep failing, try something else, farm different gear and then come back.
I hope this guide helps, leave a comment if there is anything that needs adding, changing or clarifying.

I have not tried this post patch, I've just been focusing on grinding xp for the legendary item. I'll be pretty unhappy if she's a lot weaker now since I have her at 5th prestige. She is my main character though, once I get back on the game I'll check out the patch notes and do some playing around with builds.
Like I said though, the gear can make a huge difference. If you're struggling with damage, try to find gear pieces which give high boosts to summon or ranged damage. I can't imagine them making a character unable to complete the cosmic trial, but the build may require a little tweaking now. I'll get back to you on that!

Why use Fell the Tree without Nutcracker out of curiosity?

In my experience, Magik is a great character to use for the trials. I finished Cosmic Trial on my second attempt, and Omega Trial on my first attempt with 30 seconds remaining.
Using her minions allows you to continue doing damage in the event that you have to retreat; her teleport makes it easy to escape in a hurry; and Spirit Fangs go through objects, so you can heal behind the tank and still do damage. Additionally, she can throw up a shield after summoning minions, and when loaded properly, it can summon two additional minions.
All of my gear was focused exclusively on Attack, so I just kept an eye on health and ran as needed. My layout:
Powers
- Soul Slashing - Basic attack
- Spirit Fangs - Ranged attack that will go through objects; combine with Pyro's medal for additional burn damage
- Dark Alliance - Increases your attack, gives you a shield, and adds two minions (optional)
- Stepping Disc - When you just need to get the hell away
+ - Command Lesser Bile Demons - Minions to do your bidding
+ - Command N'astirh - Bigger minion to do your bidding
+ - Otherworldly Nova - Powerful blast, very effective
+ - Vengeful Spirits - Another good ranged attack
Talents:
Bile Demons - Turns Lesser Demons into Lesser Bile Demons
Blood in the Air - Doesn't matter, since I didn't use Soul Brand
Dark Alliance - Adds two additional demons when using Dark Alliance
Restless Spirits - Adds two vengeful spirits when using Spirit Fangs
Otherworldly Command - Otherworldly Nova causes minions to do 100% additional damage for 10 seconds
My strategy was to get close and personal - immediately summon both the Lesser Demons and N'astirh to aid in your fight, use Dark Alliance to add a shield and two additional demons, and the launch a few Soul Fangs (with Pyro Medal) for DOT damage. Alternate between Fang and Slash to make sure to keep renewing DOT effects. User Otherworldy Nova as often as possible, because it take the longest to recharge, immediately followed by Vengeful Spirits, which gets charged by the previous attack.
Throw out your demons and your shield as often as possible. Don't be afraid to hide behind the tank, as your demons will continue to attack, and your Soul Fangs can go through it, but get back into the fray as often as possible to beat some ass with your Soul Slash. Good luck!

Simply level up Hulk to level 60.
Hulk can be purchased from Adam Warlock for 400 Eternity Splinters.
Follow the following steps for the fastest way to level:
Lvl 1-9: Story missions or Midtown
Lvl 10-19: Industry City. Each event drops boxes that contain bonus XP. Make sure you kill or help with at least one the current objectives to get credit to get the box.
Lvl 20-60: Legendary Quests. Once you hit 20 you will be given a legendary quest to complete. This rewards you with an insane amount of XP. If a legendary quest pops up that is located in Story mode then spend the credits to skip the quest to get a new one that takes place in terminals or Midtown/Industry City/Uptown. The speed in which you'll earn more credits and XP outweigh the current price to skip for something better.

The trophy is completely similar to “If They Be Worthy...”, but requires passing the test on the “Cosmic” difficulty level.
The challenge itself is no different, but the strength of the enemies in it is very different. The difficulty of passing this test and getting the trophy depends entirely on what character you are playing as. For example, with Nova you will not have any problems passing the test, because he only needs to use 3 “grenade attacks” to defeat everyone and everything, and there is not even a significant need to collect a full set of purple armor and select the right pieces of equipment. However, for many other characters, the challenge can be a significant problem.
You can make the challenge easier by using local co-op mode. But for this you will need another player on your couch. Also, if you do not meet the time limit, you should kill the boss first, because after his death the timer will stop.
