How to unlock the Pinpoint Shot achievement in Mass Effect: Andromeda - Definitive Guide

One really easy way to get this achievement is to buy a scope mod for whatever assault rifle you're using with low damage and a high rate of fire. Every hit you score on a weak point of an enemy gets you one shot closer to completing this achievement and the low damage weapons ensure you get as many hits as possibles before the target dies.

The weakpoints on some of the early enemies are the heads on the Kett and Exiles and the light fixtures on the Remnants.

The P.A.W. (mid-game Remnant weapon) is great for this as it fires a continuous, rechargeable beam that counts each percent of charge as a hit.

It is worth noting too that the reticle flashes a different color, orange-ish when you land a shot on a weak point. So if you are unsure what if you are hitting a weak point, it is a pretty easy way to tell between a body shot or critical.

The Mattock is a good assault rifle to use as it is single shot, so you can get every round on target.

How do you know what the weakpoints are?

I got this very easily and accidentally against the architect on EOS because you target his legs and head over and over and suddenly the achievement popped without me even attempting this beforedive just make sure you equip a weapon with a scope before this battle !

In getting this achievement, one enemy makes this exceedingly easy to grab, provided you have a scope mod on a weapon. Make sure you equip one into your loadout, and seek an Architect. The Architect's conduits each qualify as weak points, so, any shots made with your modified weapon will count towards your goal.

Architects can be found on multiple planets, and are usually encountered in side missions.

That's right! So long as your preferred weapon has a scope, the damage done will count towards the achievement.

To get this, you will need a sniper rifle, or the scope mods for Assault Rifle or Pistol. Look for a sniper rifle with a high rate of fire, or if you have the mods, an assault rifle with high accuracy, or a Pistol with both.

Aim for the head on humanoid enemies, and the lights on robotic enemies. Animals have varying weak points.

You have a chance to pick up a sniper rifle on the prologue. It's next the ship Cora crashes in. After the prologue, you'll have access to the pathfinder sniper as well. During Eos, scope mods for Assault Rifle or Pistol could drop. If they don't, new vendors will appear at the Nexus. The 'General' merchant should always sell both scope mods.

Good early weapons to use are:

The pathfinder assault rifle: high-accuracy 3-round burst. Increase stability for best results. Can function like a sniper rifle.

The Avenger Assault rifle: Low-accuracy, but high rate of fire. Any scope will boost accuracy, but it's still a medium range weapon.

The viper sniper rifle: Better rate of fire, lower damage per shot than the pathfinder one.

Later on, try:

P. A. W. assault rifle: This is my favorite weapon. It fires a continuous beam with near perfect accuracy. Give it a scope and stability upgrades.

Raptor Sniper rifle: The highest rate of fire and stability of any sniper rifle. Functions like an assault rifle. You may want to equip a spare clip mod.

To unlock this trophy, you need to hit weak points on an enemy while using a scope. This can be done via the sniper rifle, or you can attach a scope to your assault rifle or pistol, which is how I did this. I've also noticed that shots on weak points, show up differently when they hit the enemy. You should notice a red-orange mark on the enemy when you're hitting a weak point.

Weak points would be the heads of your enemies (Kett) or the red lights on Remnant machines.

This trophy can only be earned in single player mode.

In order to unlock this trophy, you will have to shoot enemy weak points with a sniper rifle zoomed in, or with another gun that has a scope attachment on it. Assault Rifles are recommended if you plan to not use the sniper rifle. Many enemies have weak points on their heads, so going for headshots with the sniper rifle or assault rifle using a scope if a good idea. The Remnant enemies usually have a red glowing spot that can be shot for big damage, as it's their major weak point.

There is a gigantic Remnant enemy called the Architect (giant worm machine), which can be fought once on each planet (Eos, Voeld, Kadara, and Elaaden) during side missions. You can shoot these enemies on their leg and head conduits (weak points) to do massive damage to them. You can get the majority of you weak point hits on these enemies as it takes a lot of bullets to break on conduit.

If you need the scope mod for your guns, you can purchase them off merchants by going to the mods menu. By actively going for headshots during you single player campaign, you should get this trophy naturally.

The most obvious weak point will be the head on most enemies. Using a scoped weapon (snipers being the first available, and you should get a scoped accuracy attachment for your assault rifle fairly early), you will need to shoot whatever weak point an enemy has 250 times (heads on anything humanoid looking, red spots on robots, etc). On Insanity difficulty, enemies can take multiple shots to the head, and you'll get credit for each one. Must be done in SP.

I received the trophy during the game, simply by shooting opponents in the head.

Important point! On third-party resources they write that vulnerable spots must be hit with a weapon with a sight mod installed. Hits from conventional weapons with won't count

The fastest option is a rifle with a sight mod
and combine with Friendly Fire / Friendly Fire . Almost every shot at the Architecture will be critical (at least to the head). Done in a couple of minutes.

Any weapon with a modification for an improved sight, but it’s better for a sniper - every shot is a weak point

The easiest way is to aim a sniper rifle at the head.

It is not necessary to use a sniper rifle... We take an assault rifle and put a scope on it, after which the achievement is achieved in half an hour of active firefight with relics.

I’ll say more, any machine gun with a sight that is built like a machine gun will get you this achievement in 10 minutes
