How to unlock the Great Owl achievement in Metro Exodus - Definitive Guide
All Night Hunter Stashes!
There are 8 stashes. You can get these over multiple runs, I got 6 in my first play through and the achievement popped as soon as I got the ones i was missing. They always have a green blip item so going for those will help. I think you will also get the
Stash 1: In the first building you come to after getting on the boat.
Jump down here and follow the path up the stairs.
Stash 2 & 3 are both in the building where your objective is.
Stash 2: Enter the building on the ground floor continue forward until part of the wall collapses. Do a U-turn to the right and walk forward until you get to the end room with a red door. There is an opening to the left of the door which when positioned correctly, you can cut a rope. Go in the door!
Stash 3:
Further upstairs you will come to a blue door which will enable you to get onto a balcony and behind some previously locked red doors. On the balcony you can see the stash symbol and to the left of it is a door you can kick open and a suit upgrade hidden behind some jars. It should be the only green blip left after you have got the ones in stash 2.
***Once you slide down a pole you cannot go back!!***
Stash 4:
After progressing on a boat with a guy, you will have to stop and clear some enemies. In the first building turn right and walk down to a set of stairs where you can see the stash symbol. Go up the stairs and turn right at the symbol and you will see a white sheet that you can climb up behind. In this room there is a spot you can crawl into the stash area.
***Once you enter the door at the objective in the 2nd building you cannot go back!!***
Stash 5:
In the next area after a long long scene with the guy you will be tasked with completing another achievement:
From the 3rd trap location, continue straight and around the walkway until you come to a room with a stash symbol on the left and a large painting on the right. Kick in the painting.
***Once you take the zipline you cannot go back!***
Stash 6:
Once you take the zipline there will be a boat nearby to the left of the only land path. Take the boat!!! If you don't and proceed too far you can not get back. There will be a train carriage that may look like it is blocking the river but you can fit through. Proceed to this building:
Behind the bookshelf and to the left of the stash symbol there is a crawl space to the stash area.
Stash 7: After the batwing fight, Tom will call you about a storm, then you cross a minefield and enter a bandit building. Once you get through the first building you should be here:
In a small 2 story building to your right when you enter the area is a set of 3 switches on the bottom floor.
Press the 3rd switch, then the 1st and finally the 2nd. This will unlock the red door on the right.
Stash 8:
After taking the blue bandit boat and going all the way through the foggy area, that you need your mask for, you should be here:
The 9th and last melody location is also here to the left of the couch. Grab the red fuel can and take it to the right next to the bus where there is a generator. Activating the generator will raise the crane allowing you to access a pipe down below.
I believe that until you enter the door of no return on the 2nd floor of the fire depot, you can in theory get all the way back to the boat for stash 6 but it's quite a way to back track.

There are 8 secret stashes to be found in the game all spread somewhat evenly throughout so you will need to be conscious of them while playing. You can use the fantastic video below to see where each is and when you will be able to find it. Note that you will find the guns and potentially new attachments for the two new guns required for "Lord of War" so be sure to collect any that you come across.

There are 8 stashes in the chapter. I recommend keeping an eye on your watch for the green blip that will show nearby weapons. This can help locate the stashes.
Stash 1 - In the Very first building you come to after getting The boat. In the bottom left hand corner of the hanger is some wooden planks leading towards the stash. You’ll have to park up and work you’re way around and drop down.
Stash 2 - In the tall building (objective) Enter the building on the ground floor and continue forward until part of the wall collapses. Follow this route but instead of going left and heading up. Go straight until you get to the end room with a red door. There is an opening to the left of the door where you can cut a rope. This opens the door to the stash.
Stash 3 - In the same building. Further upstairs you will come to a blue door, go through and go on the balcony (look for the stash symbol) to the far left of it is a door you can kick open. Behind some jars (you will need to smash them) is the suit upgrade.
Once you slide down a pole you cannot go back. Locking out the first 3 stashes
Stash 4 - After progressing on the boat with the Captain you will come across some bandits and a sniper. In the first building turn right and follow the corridor round to a set of stairs. Go up the stairs and turn right at the stash symbol and you will see a white sheet. Climb up behind this and In this room there is a spot you can crawl into the stash area.
Do not finish this section before you find the stash as you can't come back
Stash 5 - This is located in the captains hideout. During Trapped once you get to the 3rd trap location, continue straight and around the route until you come to a room with a stash symbol on the left and a large painting with a bookcase behind it. Remove these to get the stash.
Do not take the zipline until you have this and set up all the traps
Stash 6 - After you land from the zipline there will be a boat In front of you. Jump in and go South. There will be a train carriage on route that you will ride through and after that on the right is a small island with a makeshift bridge going to it. Get to the very first building and there is a door at the bottom right you can’t open. Backtrack one room and go behind the bookshelf. There is a crawl space to the stash area.
Stash 7 - After the second batwing fight, You will have worked your way through a bandit camp. Once you’ve lowered the boat, stop. Backtrack into the building to the right (facing the boats direction). When you enter the building there will be a set of 3 switches on the bottom floor.
Press the 3rd switch, then the 1st and then the 2nd. This will unlock the red door on the right.
Stash 8 - After the fog section, at the caravan camp. Grab the red fuel can and take it to the generator. Refuel and turn on the generator. This will raise the crane allowing you to access a pipe down below.

There are reports that this trophy is not popping even if all the requirements are met and completing the chapter over and over is not working. A console factory reset is so far the only working solution. Head to the Roadmap for an in depth breakdown of all bugs.
