How to unlock the Anemoi achievement in Microsoft Flight Simulator - Definitive Guide
**Main Warning!! If you mess up on the first leg of a Bush Trip, the game loves to autosave and continue you in odd places. I went way off course figuring things out and had to fly 1 hour back to the airport because I didn't know the loading screen shows the whole 7-9 hour flight and the Navlog had the airport in it. There is currently no good way to restart the first leg. Later legs can be restarted by starting a previous leg and quitting out and then you can restart the one you are stuck on.
Update*- User Usman1878 says that reinstalling the game may reset the bush trips if you get stuck on leg 1
**You need to know how to takeoff and land without autopilot settings for these trips. The autopilot really helps with finding where you need to go, but landing is usually up to you unless someone knows settings that can make sure the AI can land you.
Many difficulty settings are True to Life and descending too fast can fail you and then you may restart on the ground in a bunch of trees and can't takeoff. You can quit out and get a checkpoint. The checkpoint may not always be where you want it though. It's best to finish each leg in one go.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for the Guide.
First go into Controller Settings and search for and set the following things to help:
You can set different commands, but these are not used and keep things on similar button combinations.
Refuel and Repair: LB + R3 (Click the Right Stick)
Cockpit Zoom: LB + RS Up
Cockpit Unzoom: LB + RS Down
----------------------------------------------------------------------
First, close the VFR map. We don't need to hit back on track by mistake. It's not much help anywho.
-Scroll down the Navlog and make note of the airport name such as LDSS like in Leg 4 (Click the Compass icon at the top if it's not open)
-You can now exit the Navlog.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
This first set of instructions will take place on the right side of the Nav screen:
-Press the View Button (Back Button) to look inside the cockpit.
-You can use the now set LB+RS Up to zoom in if you need.
-Click the NRST button.
-Move the cursor over the FMS knob and click on it.
-User RS to go left and right and find the airport you want (such as LDSS for this example).
-Press B to unselect the knob when the airport is highlighted.
-Click the Direct To button. (D with an arrow through it)
-Use the FMS knob to RS over to Activate?
-Click ENT.
-A pink arrow should show up on the compass now and point to the airport. The VFR map should have a line showing the flight path too.
****If the airport is not listed, it might be too far away. Use these steps to correct that. Like on Leg 9.
-Press Direct To.
-Click the big FMS knob.
-RS left to leave Activate and highlight the airport letters at the top left of that box.
-Press ENT.
-Use the big FMS knob to select which character you want to change .
example _ _ _ _ You will change the first one, then RS right to the second, ect.
-Use the small FMS knob to change the character itself. On Leg 9 you enter LANO
-Press ENT.
-RS down on the FMS knob and press ENT on Activate.
You may need to restart if you get stuck in the menu or need to start over. It can be hard to navigate.
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Now for the left side of the Nav screen and this is the only side you have to use now.
-Click NAV to turn on NAV Mode
-Use the little ALT knob and RS to set your Altitude. I use 2000-2500 for most flights. Flat areas need less and a mountain may need more.
-Press VS to set autopilot to increase altitude.
-Press Nose Up a few times to set how fast altitude will increase. I needed to set Nose Up to about 1200 to clear the mountain on Leg 4 but start with something close to 500-800 in most cases. We set this before taking off so it's set when you turn on autopilot.
**The big Alt knob likes to jump to 100k if you hit the wrong direction with RS. It's much safer to use the little one.
Now press the View (or Back) button on the controller to change the view if you want, but you will need cockpit view after you turn on autopilot.
-Hold A to increase the throttle then press left on the d-pad to release the e-brake when prompted.
-As you pull back on LS and get some air, press Y on the controller to turn on autopilot.
-Press the ALT button to level out and keep your current altitude when you are happy with it or need to keep from stalling if you are going up too fast.
The Plane should be on it's way to the airport. Change altitude as needed. If you want to start/stop increasing/decreasing altitude, click the VS button to turn it off and use the ALT button to level out.
If you lower altitude, use the Nose Down button to set the lower speed. You can pull back on the yolk if you need to gain altitude and don't have time to mess with the autopilot settings.
I have not gotten the autopilot to land yet. When you get close to the airport, you can turn off autopilot and land normally. Take your time. Descending too fast will fail you.
**If you do not get a completion screen and the game seems locked up with just a cursor, you will need to quit the game. It's still counted for me the few times it's happened. It's usually on a grass runway.
Here is a video of the autopilot setup for this bush trip:
I am updating this as I get better at it. Look for a video soon and be sure to let me know if something is wrong or there is a better way to set something. Thanks!

I too also got the issue with first leg of this trip going badly (ending up in water etc) and i did find a way to reset this leg eventually. after a failed attempt to restart the flight after crashing into the water, i quit back to main menu then selected a different leg (That i haven't started yet) then clicked the "fly" button. Even though the "start flight" button was greyed out, clicking fly loaded the flight up anyway, and it took me to the airport of the first leg. Hope this helps anyone else in future

This guide was originally a bit of a test, but it seemed to pay off. This is less hands on, but offers the freedom to read the Bush Trip navigation log and enjoy the views of this region. I haven't tried it in the other bush trips and don't know if they have autopilot's in the aircraft.
Step 1:
Set the autopilot altitude to about 2000 feet above the ground level of the airfield and turn on flight director 'FD'.
Step 2:
Take off as usual and gain some altitude (about 1000+) and engage autopilot 'AP'.
Activate and set vertical speed 'VS' to +500 feet per minute, any more can cause a bit of speed loss.
Activate navigation mode 'NAV' and the autopilot will take over.
At each waypoint, the next destination will automatically kick in and the aircraft will turn automatically.
Step 3:
Now you just need to keep an eye on the navigation log so you don't overshoot the destination airfield. Also, you need to keep an eye on your altitude and speed, there are a few mountains along the way.
Step 4:
On your final part of each trip you will need to disengage autopilot to slow down and make your approach to the airfield and land. Once you come to a complete stop, the game will let you know you have completed the trip and you can either quit out, or start the next one. When you continue, rinse and repeat these steps and once you land and come to a complete stop in Santorini, the achievement will pop.
TIps:
I always closed the VFR map, so I don't accidentally click the back on track button.
If you are in a rush, you can increase the sim rate to speed up the process.
If you have any questions or tips, let me know and I'll add them in.
Thanks

Copy pasting the message I sent to someone:
The problem is that the Milfoit airport it's located on the McMurdo base, on the south pole. So on xbox I think it's technically impossible.
What you must do it's on pc put in developer (only available on pc). Then complete the trip.
For completing the LANO airport you have to teleport to McMurdo, which actually doesnt exist not even on the tp menu, located on -77.966 166.52499, then continue completing the trip to the end. It wont give you any achievement on developer mode.
When youre done just quit delveloper mode and complete last leg, it will unlock the achievemnt.

Another terrific guide, Thanassi360. Thanks for writing this one up.
EDIT: One note to add. DO NOT pause the game with Active Pause to set AP, VS, NAV, etc. When you're in Active Pause, your altitude, speed, etc. seem to be reset, so the auto functions use the reset values instead of your actual values ... and the plane immediately nose dives when you unpause. I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong in following the above instructions, and that's what it was. Don't use Active Pause to set the Autopilot.
