How to unlock the The Most Dangerous Game achievement in Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor - Definitive Guide

Unlike the main story campaign, you will have to defeat all 5 of the DLC warchiefs in a specific order. Each story mission starts out with a tutorial on a new way to control the beats in the world which include mounting wretched graugs and branding Ghuls. You then have to use what you have learned to draw out the next warchief. You are free to kill said warchief in any way that you see fit however. The 5 main missions are as follows...

Call of the Caragath - get 5 stealth kills mounted on a caragath without setting off an alarm to draw out the warchief and then kill him. (you CAN be spotted, just kill any enemies before they set off the alarm)

No Rest For the Wretched - projectile vomit 20 archers with a wretched graug to draw out the warchief. (be sure to eat enemies on the ground to replenish your health as projectile vomiting drains your health bar)

Blasted Uruks! – chase and kill 10 enemies transporting explosives while mounted on a caragoth to draw the warchief out. (run fast and don't waste your arrows as they are the easiest way to dispatch enemies at high speed while mounted)

Stronghold Uprising – bait 3 mounds of ghuls inside the warchiefs stronghold to draw him out.

Homewrecker – lead an army of branded ghuls into the warchiefs cave to fish him out. After you have taken about half his health down he escapes outside and you battle him again. The final warchief is actually quite easy if you concentrate on only branding the surrounding monsters and letting THEM do the dirty work for you. The battle starts out with an endless spawn of ghulls swarming the area. After a bit of damage has been done, Caragaths start to show up and then a wretched graug. Keep branding these monsters and they will take out the warchief (and net you the achievement) in no time.

Do these Warchiefs get replaced by captains? I guess not... Probably best to restart LoTH DLC then?
EDIT: they don't, replayed the whole DLC and concentrated on the main missions only, took me about an hour I think.

Weirdly, this took a few minutes to unlock after I'd killed the last warchief so it might be worth waiting awhile with the game open if it's not unlocking straight away.

Same for me. Killed all of them, no achievement... I quit out of the game the second the last Warchief was killed because I wanted to restart the mission as "The Collector" failed. But the Warchief was dead anyway and I collected his rune without the cheevo popping...

Story related and cannot be missed.

These are the missions you must complete to achieve this trophy. If you happen to get killed during any of the Beastmaster Warchief fights the mission name will change on the map to Unfinished Business; it is still the same mission but on your retry you can go straight to the Beastmaster Warchief confrontation (you do not have to "draw them out" a second time).
  1. Defeat the first 4 War-chiefs in any order.

    • War-chief #1
      1. Intro Mission
      2. Call of the Caragath
    • War-chief #2
      1. Swift Tracking
      2. Blasted Uruks!
    • War-chief #3
      1. Unwarranted Aggression
      2. No Rest for the Wretched
    • War-chief #4
      1. Matrons Rising
      2. Stronghold Uprising
  2. War-chief #5
    1. Hypocritical Oath
    2. Homewrecker
After completion of Homewrecker you will be shown a cut-scene and then a Congratulations window; the trophy will pop when this window is shown.
Immediately after your tutorial mission ends, you will be given the overall story mission: Kill the Beast Master Warchiefs. There are five of them:
  1. Tûmhorn Beast Tamer
    • Power: 18
    • Bodyguards: 2 - Stealth Kill supporters while mounted on a Caragath without raising the alarm.
    • Weaknesses: Vulnerable to Stealth Finishers
  2. Ashgarn Smuggler
    • Power: 17
    • Bodyguards: 2 - Chase down and kill Uruk Couriers in order to draw him out.
    • Weaknesses: Damaged by Combat Finishers
  3. Zûgor Beast Butcher
    • Power: 17
    • Bodyguards: 4 - Hit Archers with Projectile Vomit to draw him out.
    • Weaknesses: Damaged by Range Attacks
  4. Ûgakûga Graug Rider
    • Power: 17
    • Bodyguards: 1 - Bait a horde of Ghûls inside the Stronghold to draw him out.
    • Weaknesses: Damaged by Combat Finishers
  5. Shágflak Ghûl Keeper
    • Power: 16
    • Bodyguards: 0 - Gather an army of dominated Ghûls.
    • Weaknesses: Damaged by Beasts (Caragaths, Graugs, Ghûls)

This will most likely be one of the last achievements you unlock during your playthrough as it requires players to complete all the main story missions. In total, there are five Warchiefs that must be eliminated in Nurn. You can check their details below for a general description of what’s required during each of their missions.

  • Call of the Caragath – Stealth kill the Warchief’s 5 supporters while mounted on a Caragath to lure out the Beast Tamer out without raising an alarm
  • No Rest For the Wretched – Hit 20 Archers with the Wretched Graug’s Projectile Vomit to draw out Beast Butcher
  • Blasted Uruks! – Chase down and kill 10 Uruk couriers in order to draw out the Smuggler
  • Stronghold Uprising – Bait a horde of 3 Ghuls inside the Stronghold to cause chaos, thus luring out the Graug Rider
  • Homewrecker – Hunt down the final Warchief and put an end to the Beast Master threat in Nurn

Overall, these story missions aren’t too complicated so long as you utilize the wildlife in Nurn to your advantage in combat and follow the in-game prompts that give hints and tips in completing the missions without fail. Remember to utilize Talion's advanced abilities in combat as well performing simpler moves like stunning enemies and jumping over their heads. Once the main story missions have been completed and all five Warchiefs are no longer a threat, this achievement will unlock.
