How to unlock the Superior Sprint achievement in Midway Arcade Origins - Definitive Guide

Maybe its because I had never played this game before, but it took me a couple of hours to get this one. I started with the easiest track, the game chooses your route from there. Here's the best tips I can provide.

*The first track is simple. Expect to lap your opponents.
*The next track is a little more difficult. If you overlap an opposing car when driving through the bottom left circle, you'll spin out. Try to avoid if possible. If the shortcut door is open as you are crossing the line for a lap, take it; your opponents will if they can as well.
*The last track is much tougher. If you don't get a head start fairly quickly, expect to lose. There will be random oil slicks and tornadoes as well, hopefully none of them will spawn in unavoidable spots. If they do, you may as well try again. The first 2 tracks are easy with practice, so it will really come down to getting practice on this track.

Overall tips:
*Avoid getting clustered with the other cars. It will slow you down and often spin you out to be facing the opposite direction.
*As long as you aren't going at top speed, bumping the wall is usually okay (although I had some random explosions at low speeds that made no sense).
*If you don't get the lead early, you may as well restart. Getting stuck behind all 3 cars will almost always spin you out as you'll be clustered with them.
*Don't stress over wrenches. I thought they were necessary and repaired your car, but their real purpose is for upgrades. Collecting 3 allows you to get an upgrade. If you follow the route I took, you won't even have 3 before you get the achievement.
*Upgrades seem to be useless, at least in my opinion. Other routes will allow you to get one before you get the achievement. They are: top speed, acceleration speed, and traction. You rarely get the chance to accelerate your car to top speed due to curves and the traction upgrade didn't seem to help with the controls at all. The acceleration one seemed to help a little, but not enough to stress over acquiring it.
*If an overpass has red outlines, you can drive off of it. Yellow means you can hit the wall and not fall off.
*Choose a different car! The cars always spawn in the same order on the tracks. The blue car (default) always spawns on the outside lane. I picked yellow (which spawns in the middle) and it stopped me from getting immediately rammed into the wall at the beginning of the third race since I was no longer on the outside.

If these tips aren't enough, I'm including a video of me earning the achievement to help out. Good luck!

Starting with the yellow car is the single most valuable piece of info in this solution! Just could NOT get out in front of the pack on the 3rd track with the blue car. Got it first try with the yellow car! Thanks!

I tried all the methods recommended in all three solutions, alternating between them until I got the achievement. I felt all along that the one here was going to be the one that worked for me, and it was, so it gets my upvote.

I installed this package because I remembered all the fun I used to have playing Defender, Joust, Xenophobe, Rampage, Toobin', Gauntlet ... I had no idea there would be so many terrible games lumped in with them, and that those would be the ones with the difficult achievements that require you to become a master at it.

The tracks seem to have a set pattern, so its good to try to get some easy tracks...

Start with Track 8 (top left corner) It looks tricky, but the AI goes round it damned slowly... I lapped two of them on this one... You also get an upgrade for your car at the end of race 1 as you get the three scanners as a 'difficulty' bonus

It should give track 4 next which isn't too difficult either...

And then, the last track should be Track 1, which, even with the slightly upgraded AI should be a piece of cake...

I have no idea why this has negative votes. I tried the other solutions (I missed this one actually) and accidentally started with track 8. The AI was so slow I actually lapped them twice! The next two tracks, 4 and 1, are so easy that there was no way I could fail. I came to share and to my surprise you'd posted it and I was just blind! A+ Solution. Easiest way here.

After many hrs of going for this achievement I tried a different pattern of tracks. So start at track 4 super easy especially when there's no hurricane in that track. The following track will be the easiest of them all track 1. Should be a breeze and now the final track will be track 3. There is a hurricane at the start but try to avoid it. The goal is to hug into the walls and make sharp turns. You want to give your self a big enough lead so you won't have to worry about going through those open/closing doors.

Recap pick track 4
Followed by track 1
Ended by track 3

First try with this suggestion (starting from the bottom right track). Also I did use the yellow car. Thanks!

Thanks for the tip. This was definitely the best pattern on both of the Sprint games. Gives you the best chance at the third tracks which are not overly hard (after hours getting used to the horrid controls).

Personally, I found this to be the toughest of the 3 racing games. It is basically the same as Championship Sprint, however I found picking the first track given makes the final 2 easier. Use the same tips as you utilized in Championship Sprint in this one. Only major difference is (to me) it seems the 3rd race has MUCH more ruthless AI than its counterpart. Keep practicing, and after several tries, you should now be done with all the racing trophies! Huzzah!

A challenging one at race three but should take less than 5 tries, the controls are VERY touchy play with whatever is more comfortable for you, the stick or the pad.

You don't NEED the wrenches but it can help to make your car keep up just the little bit. I won two to three times over 10 races without wrenches Starting with the Right and bottom right most tracks, which I recommend using.

Much like super off road focus on just staying straight as possible and learn the courses every race won will put you ahead 3 tracks from the original track chosen. If you find it easier you may want to find the track that works best for you for your third race and just play under that pretense, this may involve you starting on the left side so you can end at the bottom right, play how you are comfortable and this will come in a few tries.
