How to unlock the Ten little Holeshots achievement in Monster Energy Supercross - The Official Videogame - Definitive Guide

A holeshot is awarded to the first racer to cross under the signing showing "HOLESHOT" at the start of the race. I found the easiest way to get four holeshots out of each race was to use the following settings:

Single Player>Single Race>250 East

Rider should be Jordan Smith

Track should be Daytona (You can use any track but I preferred this one for the swooping turn before the holeshot.)

Race Options: Real Thing and Short for the length. Racer difficulty Very Easy

You will start off in qualifying you can either try your best to get a good gate pick or just quit the session, up to you. Having a good gate pick makes things easier but you will not have that convenience after the first heat and by abusing the rewind feature cn_downleft you shouldn't have any issues even if you have the last gate pick.

Heat 1 - This is our first chance at a holeshot. What I did was before the gate drop reverse the bike just a small amount using cn_B. Then I would hold in the clutch cn_LB and give the bike full throttle. The gates should drop after approximately five seconds, after a couple of tries you will get the idea of when to expect it to fall. A split second before you think the gate will drop release the clutch and hopefully you will be out in front by a bit. At this point make a run to the left side of the track and try to take the first turn as tight as possible. If you are in front you will have achieved one holeshot. If not restart the race and try again.

Once you are satisfied that the holeshot is yours finish the race but do not get close to winning. I would just get last place while boosting this. The reason being this moves you on to Heat 2 and gives you another chance at another holeshot. The stats screen at the end of the race will confirm if you did indeed receive the holeshot award.

Heat 2 - Repeat the same steps as Heat 1, being sure to lose the race so we are entered into the Last Chance Qualifier.

LCQ - Repeat the steps again but this time win or at least be in the top four which should not be an issue so you are entered into the Main Event.

Main Event - Grab your last holeshot and be sure to complete the race.

This should give you four holeshots for each time through, on your 10th holeshot the achievement will pop mid race and there is no need to finish the race, completely up to you!

This achievement worked in the following settings. First do not use a custom rider. Select Single player - championship - official championship - 250 East. Select rider - Jordan smith. For race options select the real thing, length short. Qualify in the top few after a lap or two then Pause , Return to pit, and skip time to the qualifier. (Hold RB and it will need to be pressed again at 5 min ).

You can then get two holes shots in the first track, heat and main.

One tip From youtube “how to get holeshot every time” worked well was to back up at the gate and get the timing right to get out way in front. Then take the corner well, or use rewind until you do. You can also restart the race if you mess up on start and it didn’t impact the achievement. It will unlock as soon as you pass the holeshot checkpoint and end up as #1 on the checkpoint board. Complete the race to confirm if you get it the holeshot for that race.

Maybe it’s possible to get the count to increase even if quitting after getting the holeshot in the first turn, so
Please let us know if you test that.

Hole shots completed can be checked under the profile. Press select button (two squares) at the start race screen to check profile and stat is there on the first screen mid way down.

Getting the holeshot and then retiring does NOT work. It says you didn't get the holeshot. That means you have to finish each race after getting the holeshot.

I retired from another event and it counted the holeshot. But it removed it once I was back in the menu. That means the holeshot only gets saved if you finish the race.

The easiest way to get holeshots is to count the moves of the AI's hands to your left (when he accelerates), this way I could get a headstart even without qualifying and it's more convenient than to count 5 to 6 seconds in your head (which was for me pretty inaccurate most of the times):

The pattern of the AI acceleration hand moves is always the same, the gates are going down on the 12th move, if you start on the eleventh, most of the time you'll be ahead. Being ahead and in 22th position may be difficult to manage though, it's better to aim for the 12th hand move to be able to go on the left side more freely. Most of the time, ensuring you're in the leftmost position in the first turn helps you getting ahead.
Find a good track for it (there are in both official and online tracks), do it with the help of the "rewind" feature and repeat 10 times.
