The settings required are....

* You can select more or less laps depending on how good you are. I almost built a 10 second lead up by end of lap 5 but it will be very tight. 30 laps will take approx 40 mins to complete race but you should easily get 10 second lead by the end. 10 laps is a for average to good skill level players.
My tactics for the race were as follows....
Lap 1 - Aim to get about halfway up the leaderboard by the first corner, braking late helps here but be careful not to try and speed through corners as you will often fall of motorbike, instead stay at a level speed as other racers through corners but acelerate out a little earlier. Late braking and early acceleration is paramount. Using this tactic you should be able to overtake 2 or 3 racers per corner and by end of first lap be in 1st place.
BE VERY WARY OF YOUR REAR WHEEL STARTING TO SLIDE OUT. IF THIS HAPPENS EASE UP OR BRAKE SLIGHTLY. IT'S BETTER TO LOSE YOUR RACE LINE A BIT FOR A SECOND OR SO THAN FALL AND LOSE ABOUT 5 OR 6 SECONDS.
Lap 2 to 10 - Maintain decent pace through corners but always be wary of the rear wheel slide (see above warning). On the straights absolutely go full speed but brake a little earlier, pulling back on controls will sit your rider up while braking and slow you a little bit quicker but be careful not to do this while accelerating as you will wheelie and lose speed. You should be aiming for extending your lead by about 2 - 3 seconds per lap here, which will mean approx 1 min 22 second lap times.
