How to unlock the Perfect Run achievement in Odium to the Core - Definitive Guide
There are 3 gears to each level that are dependent on the actions you can undertake in a level. They are:
1) Orbs - Collect all orbs in the level (up to the number listed)
2) Points - Attain a particular score
3) Secrets - Collect all the secrets
For this achievement, you need to do all 3 in a level.
It appeared that this achievement could glitch if you got all of the secrets in a level previously but this is not the case. Just make sure to enter the secret locations on subsequent playthroughs and you will get credit.
Some tips for this achievement:
- Level 1 is the easiest by far. The obstacles are less frequent/difficult and there is a lot more space to maneuver.
- Getting the rhythm down for the bonus scoring is a little difficult, but it's mandatory for the score portion. The better you can utilize the whole width of the chamber to have your hold and release periods maximized will greatly benefit your score.
- If you miss an orb or secret, just take a death before reaching the next checkpoint. You can die while getting this achievement. The only difficulty here is that you'll lose the momentum bonus scoring if you had it. Even with some deaths, I was able to get the score requirement on Level 1 and hit all 3 gear requirements.
