How to unlock the Supersonic achievement in Ori and the Blind Forest - Definitive Guide
For the most efficient use of your time I recommend doing all the difficult achievements in the same run. Immortal-No deaths , Elite-no abilities points used and Supersonic-complete game under 3 hours.
For this reason I will be going over tips concerning all three achievements in this.
First thing you need to understand is the generous save system makes what would otherwise be a couple very difficult achievements nothing more than an exercise in saved game management. There are 10 save slots in the main menu where you choose to continue your game use them and abuse them. The game allows you to copy and paste your current save between these 10 different save slots so During your play-through if you spend too much time because you do not know where to go next or you die simply use one of your copied saves to reload and try again until you are happy with how quick you got through a section. This is the key to doing all 3 achievements in one go.
The following information MAY contain slight spoilers.
I Recommend doing this after your initial playthrough of the game. The basic idea is to run through the story as quick as possible only taking extra time to gather nearby energy or life cells. However be sure to take the extra time needed to find all secrets and items in the areas which can not be revisited if possible. The three areas for main concern are the ginsa tree, misty woods and forlorn ruins each contain secret areas that cannot be gotten later, if youre going for the no stone unturned achievement as well be sure to get all these before you leave these areas.
!!!WARNING!!! The Elite and no stone unturned achievement (finding all secret locations) seems to be bugged For this reason NEVER EVER spend points on abilities during the run or risk it not unlocking , You will also want to delete all previous saves and start as fresh as possible prior to attempting this run.I even uninstalled then reinstalled the game,I experienced the glitch doing these things worked for me.
Spending time in the pause menu or the ability tree menu does NOT count against your playtime so don't feel rushed when looking at the map however Cutscenes use up precious time so be sure to skip them whenever possible by hitting pause then select "skip cutscene". Also in the pause menu it shows your current playtime and next to that is your death counter , if ever your counter shows anything higher than zero go into your save game backups and reload the nearest save. It is wise to keep an eye on this during your game as sometimes autosaves can be very quick after a death.
If you have spare energy cells Charged attacks will take down the enemies much faster than tapping. Getting extra energy cells is always worthwhile Specifically against the mini bosses that leap out of the ground and spit at you. They take awhile to kill until you get the bash ability.
Starting at forlorn ruins enemies become increasingly more difficult for the no ability speed run, it is always quicker to dispatch enemies by using bash (by holding ) to shoot their own projectiles back at them rather then using spirit flame (tapping ) or wasting energy cells using charged flame (holding ).
Make sure to keep a save PRIOR to entering the ginsa tree , misty woods for the first time , forlorn ruins and Mt.Horu... All these areas have secrets which cant be accessed again.
Here I will list my playtimes at certain points in the game so you may better judge how you are doing overall. I will also list how many life cells and energy cells i found on the way though i missed many.
At 11 min I had 1life cell and 1 energy cell at spirit well (save point) in hollow grove directly in front of spirit tree
30 min 2LC 3EC door before entering ginsa tree
42 min 2LC 4EC after completing ginsa tree and collecting all 4 secrets. (thanks JayD101 for confirming)
53 min 2LC 5EC save is before misty woods by lantern alter 4 secrets in misty woods
1:08 2LC 6EC door before entering forlorn ruins 3 secrets inside ruins
1:30 3LC 7EC Final Ori ability charge jump obtained
1:42 5LC 9EC door to enter Mt.Horu this is final area so be sure to make a few saves at this point so you can return and get the rest of the missing life cells, energy cells and hidden sections you may have missed on the general map. There is I believe 5 secrets inside the final area Mt.Dori so your no stone unturned achievement tracker should be 90% prior to entering( not sure if this number is exact).Again this achievement may be glitched for you until a patch.
2:02 final confrontation w owl started
Game completed at 2:06
Achievements pops just as
during final sequence.
Hope this helps, I will be updating this guide with more information as I compile it, also if anyone would like videos of any speedrun no death sections please request them and i will add them. If you experience any glitches or bugs please email the developer at feedback@moongamestudios.com so that we may get a patch sooner. Thanks to smallywood for the email.

Got these cheeves last night. You're right, doing all 3 at once is the way to go. Thought it would be tougher with no abilities but it definitely teaches you how to use bash on enemies lol. Thanks for posting your times, helped me to know where I was at.

I figured I'd post my latest single-segment run. It shows a pretty solid path to take if you're just looking to get your speedrun done, as I cleared it in just under 1hr 29mins without any cut scene skipping shenanigans or save/quit tricks. During the run I pick up around 7 life cells and 8 energy cells IIRC, and just enough ability cells to get triple jump and damage resistance (basically the only skill tree worth maxing on a speed run).
Of course if you don't want to do it in a single segment, you can always back up your save and revert to the backup if you spend too much time on any given part or if you die. The hands of time will turn back, whoa-oh (sorry, Grease 2 reference).

Oh yeah sorry I took it down because of youtube's bullshit copyright claims. I'll upload a new one soon.

I know most walkthroughs for this game suggest doing No Death/3 Hours/No Upgrades on the same run but I strongly suggest NOT doing that if you want an easier time. Instead only combine No Death with 3 Hours, and do a separate run for No Abilities if you want to save many many many more reloads.
I also know most speedrun videos take some crazy shortcuts, some unusual order/routes, dragging enemies out of certain areas, leveling up at specific times or some save techniques which skips cutscenes etc, but I would argue that unless you're trying to break some speedrun leaderboards, as long as you don't deviate from the main route too much to get lots of health / magic upgrades or EXP, you can comfortably finish this game in less than 2 hours. There is A LOT of room for error to reach that 3 hour mark.
I will suggest that you learn how to Bash Glide (video below) the moment you have the ability to do so. It is extremely helpful in getting through many areas quickly - the Mystic Woods can largely be navigated without touching the ground for example.
I finished in 1:35, only picking up 2 health upgrades and 6 magic upgrades. Aim to get Triple Jump ASAP if you level up. I didn't practice a ridiculous amount and I didn't take any shortcuts.
Make sure to save a lot in case you take longer than you anticipate through an area (or die in your attempts if you're doing a No Death as well) and if you need to refill your health/magic urgently then head to the nearest well. Any time you come across one of those mini bosses, either use your burst or your Bash ability to reflect their shot back at them, in order to kill them quicker. You shouldn't be shooting any enemies at all once you get Bash either.

It's better to combine it with the Supersonic / Super-Speed achievement, because... death, the time spent on the attempt is recorded in the save.
