How to unlock the Power Outage achievement in Overwatch 2 - Definitive Guide

You can get this on any point capture map, but imo the best map to do this on would be Ilios. The capture point is very small and towards the end of the match, most of the enemy team will group up for a last ditch effort to attack or defend. Sombra has a decent radius for her Ult, so even if they're not in super close proximity to each other there's a good chance you'll still hack all six if you time it right.

Heres a clip of me getting it. Don't forget to go invisible and mash Y repeatedly when you're ready. The clip doesn't capture the achievement notification but trust me, I got it. And remember, like most Overwatch achievements, there's definitely still a lot of luck and favorable circumstances involved to get this one.

I earned this achievement as yu can see below defending Dorado. The attacking team made it about halfway through to the first checkpoint when my team took control over they're payload having wiped out at least half of they're heroes.
Once this occurred, knowing that a good number of the opposing teams heroes had to respawn I repositioned myself to out flank them this is where the clip below begins.
Monitoring the kill feed while yu play is a good way to get idea of how many will be respawning & how fast, when your team is defending the payload at a choke point, or press select on your controller to get an idea of how many are actively on the map.
I agree with the first post it does take some favorable circumstances or some say luck to attain this achievement. But most think its because its too hard to get 6 heores within the radius of Sombra emp. I would say I was lucky enough to have good teammates that particular round.
As you'll see in the clip as I was moving in from behind to use my emp, almost simultaneously Reinhardt on my team deployed his ult seems we both noticed the other team was bunched up.
Re-wacthing the clip seems as if I'd been able to emp all six without his help because of how I out flanked them. Buh I certainly didn't mind the help, no doubt moving targets are harder to emp than a still target, & after Reinhardt unleashed his ult their was only one moving target left perfect time to emp all 6.
When I repositioned I cloaked myself so I wouldn't be seen coming, buh very important just like when yu want to shoot, or hack as Sombra you have to uncloak first before you can use her ult. When shooting or hacking holding the triggers to actually perform those functions will uncloak yu automatically. As you'll see in the clip I never shot my gun until I used the emp as I did not want to expose my position, which means when I was ready I had to press Y once to uncloak & Y again to perform her ult.
Underrated part to how I popped this achievement again goes to my teammates, widowmaker used her ult so I basically had infra-red to see when the last enemy was running out from the spawn room which basically was my cue to come out of hiding and allowed me to time up using my emp with when the last hero joined the rest of the team.
Patience is a big key to capture this, & although I was able to do this pretty quickly on a payload map I still believe control maps are probably easier to pop this achievement on. Always try to out flank the opposing team to me its always easier if they can't see you coming. When looking to deploy your ult definitely use your cloaking to get good positioning and like I said have the 'patience' until a majority of the other team is bunched up at choke point. Also if at all possible look to team your emp with ults from other heroes on your team Zarya, or Reinhardt perhaps like I did. This along with doomfist's catered achievement still remain amongst some of the hardest to obtain within the game for any of the heroes ..happy hunting! stay patient!

| Instructions |
01. During the game, hack convenient first aid kits that are close to your teammates.
If the situation allows, try to play near a hacked first aid kit. This will add a lot of survivability to you.

02. Depending on the length of the match and your aim, you will have 3-4 ults per game .
Don't wait and don't hold your ult, don't be afraid to ult! See a bunch of enemies

03. Entering enemies. Many may think that it’s easier to go into Inviz and then end up in a crowd of enemies.
This method works in some cases, but only against the deaf and blind.
Here's what it all looks like:
You approach your enemies in invisibility - they hear your steps and know about you.
When you exit the Invis, you shout to your enemies, HEY, I'M HERE!
After leaving Invis, you will not get your ult immediately, there is a slight delay.

Therefore, it is worth using other entry methods.
01. Jump from a hill and ult.
| You can leave a translocator beacon on this same hill in order to return here if something happens.
02. Throw a translocator beacon over enemies and ult.
| But in case of unforeseen circumstances, you will have no means of escape.

Tip #01 | The easiest way to do this is on maps with cargo escort, in defense. Especially during overtime.

Tip #02 | If there is Reinhardt in the enemy team, the likelihood of making a trophy increases.
Since many in this case play from behind Reinhardt’s shield and the likelihood that all the team will be there increases!
