How to unlock the Power Punch achievement in Overwatch 2 - Definitive Guide
Overwatch 2 Solution
[Edit} The achievement desperation is vague on whether this needs to be done with one punch or in a single match. As I unlocked the achievement in the original Overwatch, I cannot confirm which one they want but if you know, please leave a comment. What does Rocket Punch do?
Rocket Punch is bound to Doomfist's Secondary Fire which is by default.Rocket Punch allows Doomfist to charge up his fist for up to 1 second to deal damage and knock back to enemies. This can hit multiple enemies.
Doomfist can use Power Block to empower his Rocket Punch. An Empowered Rocket Punch receives the following buffs:
- +50% Damage
- Travel 50% Faster and Further
- Enemies who hit a wall will be stunned
What does Power Block do?
Power Block is bound to Doomfist's Ability 2 which is by default.Power Block reduces damage from the front by 80%. Blocking 90 damage will cause Rocket Punch to become empowered and its cooldown will go to 0. Note that this is NOT an ability that negates projectiles, like D.Va's Defense Matrix, so you are still vulnerable to some projectiles like Ana's Sleep Dart.
How do I unlock Power Punch?
You must first empower your Rocket Punch by blocking 90 damage. After that, you should look for a group of enemies that are grouped in 3 near a wall. Use Seismic Slam to close the gap and hope they're still grouped up so you can slam them.Alternatively, you can save your Empowered Rocket Punch for a choke.
Boosting Methods
The Lockdown Method
This is the most common method to boost Overwatch that requires 10 people.- Get a group of 10 people.
- Get into two groups of 5
- Disable cross play
- Queue for Quick Play Open Queue at the same time and hope it matches you guys up
- Once you match up, use Power Block to empower your Rocket Punch
- Get 3 enemies to stand near a wall and punch them

Do you use it at it's highest point? Or when you're about to hit the ground?

When you jump? Yes at its highest point.

I just got this achievement by total luck so circumstances may be different. I personally got it on Nepal Village by using Seismic Slam and making a weird kind of turn along a small pillar near the control point.
The amount of damage Seismic Slam does depends on the airtime with it, with maximum charge being 125. The best way to reach this is by using Seismic Slam from somewhere high and dropping down. Making a u-turn in midair can help as well.
Spots to attempt this from (will update with more locations):
King's Row:
Top door of the first attacker's spawn room (attackers only)
Ledge near the aforementioned door (attackers only)
Hollywood:
Platform overlooking the point (both sides, but easier on defense)
Catwalk between the two buildings in the outdoor studio phase (both sides)
Eichenwalde:
Top of the castle tower (both sides, easier on defense)
Dorado:
Small ledge overlooking the door after the first checkpoint (both sides, way easier on defense)
Good luck in obtaining this achievement :)

So to get this achievment you need to seismic slam from a high point to get 125(max) damage. There however is one thing, you have to get the killing blow on the hero. I got the acheivment by destroying a Junkrat mine when i jumped from the kings row spawn.
You can destroy/kill these things: Heroes, Junkrat mine, Junkrat trap, Widow's mine, Symetra turrets and i think you can finish it with torbs turret also.
Here is a link to a list of all the places where you can reach 125 damage

I'm upvoting for the list, but they fixed the ability to kill an item for this. At least, I got a 125 kill on a Junkrat trap today and it didn't pop.

The way that most of our group got this one was on Ilios (this is the area where the capture point is a house with death ledges right outside some of the doors) Doomfist should be on the roof of the capture point standing on top of the flower pot and do his slam on a weak enemy standing in the entrance of the dark room that has a pool and a big health pack inside. DO NOT use your uppercut when doing this! All you need to do is jump and hold forward while using Seismic Slam towards the enemy and land slightly in front of them (I did this on my first attempt)
(Please note that this solution only describes the best location in my opinion and for ability mechanics and description Tranierx’s solution is more suitable)
To get the achievement you must get a killing blow with the seismic slam ability at 125 charge, this is made easier by knowing which of your enemies are injured and having teammates distract or immobilize them. The best way to charge the ability is to use it on a sloped roof or other unstable footing as they do not stop the slam but carry it instead.
The map with the maximum amount of these surfaces accessible is Dorado on defense as it has them in every checkpoint.
First Section
At first there is a small archway to the right of the enemy entrance you may try to land on with varying results, the enemy also likely has more health as they are closer to their spawn so it’s unliklely to give you your winning slam.
Into the fountain area with piñatas, the long building to the right has a roof to boost from but is also unlikely to net the achievement as you are more exposed and attackers don’t often move in range there.
Middle Section
In the second checkpoint area the large building the cart must move around is topped with a massive slope to take advantage of for the entire checkpoint and has the chance for the most attempts on the map but be careful of high health enemies wasting your strike.
Final Section
At the final checkpoint, if you jump over the wall overlooking the enemy, the roof to the right is also an excellent spot to charge your slam and can even be used after the cart is passed it if you time it right.
Once the cart gets closer to the bend of the final checkpoint it must go around another sloped roof, although this one may be difficult to reach and you are more exposed, it often boasts weaker enemies as your team will be targeting anyone so close.
This may take several attempts and is far from the only map, but the constant presence of sloped roofs makes Dorado much easier than other maps in my opinion.
*Edit:
You will often have to use your other abilities to reach these areas especially rising uppercut, then a quick rocket punch to get to where you want to start the slam, often close to the center of whichever surface you are using.

Empowered Rocket Strike is obtained after you block damage with a powerful block. When using a block, a scale appears next to the sight; you need to fill it completely and then hit it. I don’t know exactly, but perhaps you need to hit three people into the wall with one blow. It’s not difficult, if you hit one enemy with a charged blow, it will transfer the impulse to those who are standing next to/behind.
