How to unlock the Spaceport of Greed: Obliterated achievement in Persona 5 Royal - Definitive Guide

This achievement ties to the bosses of the Spaceport palace, consisting of a gauntlet of battles with robot minions you faced throughout your exploration of the palace, then an all-new gigantic robot boss decked in a black tuxedo, and eventually you'll face the cognitive version of Haru Okumura and of course the cognitive version of her father himself when all is said and done,

Your party should consist of besides Joker that of Makoto, Morgana, and last but not least the real world Haru. Makoto's Nuclear attacks target the weakness affinity for the red-colored robots, and she also sports a Flash Bomb attack where any damage that inflicts Critical status offers you an extra turn, and you can use these opportunities to perform additional attacks. Morgana and Haru have Wind and Psychic attacks targeting all foes, both elements that the minions hold weakness affinities. When the weakness is first exploited, make sure to perform a Baton Pass, as the recipient will possess added buff to their attack stat and make clearing these robot waves all the more easier. Knowing these aspects will be critical to success, since you not only have just 30 minutes to prevail, but you must also eliminate all the robots in each wave (meaning not even one can flee) so as to progress to the end.

The first wave of robots are blue in color, and are weak to Wind. Morgana and Joker should help you make quick work of this lot. The next wave will be yellow, and is weak to both Psychic and Ice elements. Remember too that you have elemental attack items you can use for any character that doesn't have any skills that target all the robots' weaknesses in their repertoire, if you really want to max out every Baton Pass opportunity possible. The next wave are the red robots, and aside from the aforementioned Nuke weakness, they are also weak to Electric skills. At this point you'll discover the HP banks for each wave get bigger and bigger, and in this third wave the robots will have 1000 HP, but if you've mastered the art of Baton Pass, you will get through without much trouble, if any. The fourth wave are taller robots. blue in color, and weak to both Wind and Bless skillsets. You should have Wind (Air Cannon) and Bless (Happy Bomb) attack items in your inventory from your treasure chest discoveries from both exploring previous Palaces in addition to the Spaceport as well as Mementos. The fifth and final minion wave are bulky in shape, donning green business suits, and are weak to Psy. This is the wave that players find most frustrating of this whole shebang. The good news is if you've mastered the strategy for Baton Passes, you can eliminate all four of the green robots within the two turn window before they begin to flee. Just know to have the Psychic Bomb attack item in your inventory handy. Using an attack stat buff spell for Joker on his initial turn and saving his strongest moves for when you Baton Pass to him is a great strategy here, and in any of the preceding waves too, for that matter. Now you face the black tuxedo giant robot boss. While he has no weakness affinities, there's another way you can still earn a Baton Pass opportunity, and that's through hitting an attack that incurs Technical status while your enemy has a status ailment. On your first opportunity, use the Stun Gun item, and then use your strongest Physical attack skill (not your base attack, so that you don't have the Shock status transferred to you and you end up losing a turn being unable to do anything), and you can rinse and repeat with Makoto, Morgana and/or Joker. If you're concerned regarding opposing attacks, there is one charge-up and followthrough move called the Big Bang Challenge, an Almighty-type attack going after your entire party with heavy damage and the opportunity to impose Hunger status, significantly lowering your attack. The irony worth noting though, is if any of your party members already have Hunger status, it'll just absorb the damage, fully heal you, and your Hunger status is gone. So if you happen to have any party member that's Hunger afflicted and a defensive stat buffing spell and/or Mediarama, use it on one party member or the whole party during the one turn window that the opponent is charging (Big Bang Order), and have healthy party members Guard.

With all the robots defeated, you now come to the penultimate fight of this gauntlet, that being the cognitive form of Haru. Like the black tuxedo robot, she has no weakness affinities, but this time doesn't have any moves besides basic physical attacks. Attack her however you wish, but prepare for when her father gives the Sacrifice Order for her to Self-Destruct, which will come when you've brought down her HP heart to over 60% filled. Smart money is having anyone with a Mediarama spell heal your party, and everyone else Guard. And now you'll have only CEO Okumura left, and it'll be a laugher for a ceremonious triumph, which will be accomplished in just one move, because that's all you'll need to finish him!

Your achievement will come when you progress to 10/11, the date that would've called for Haru's marriage proposal to be made to another wealthy family's son, but after raiding and acquiring the Spaceport palace treasure, her father will call this proposal off, and also call for a press conference confessing of the toxic workplace culture imposed on all the subsidiaries run under his company, including that of Big Bang Burger. Once that happens, the achievement will pop on-screen!

For those who fare better with a video guide, I followed this one to a tee: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wDOqyF7pJgE

My characters were all level 44/45 going in. After losing several times, I followed the video and got it on the first attempt.

I will be completely honest, the boss kind of sucks to face. Some ways to mitigate some of the annoyances are to first rank up the Twins to at least level 5 to gain monetary access to higher level Personas. Even when starting at approximately 400k and going down to maybe 150k the first day you're allowed in the palace (upgrading), I was able to recoup it and then some, allowing me to fuse a couple of level 45+ Personas. Some of the ones I relied on heavily were Bugs, Hecatoncheires, Lachesis, and Kaguya. I got Hifumi's link started which gives you the ability to swap a party member out mid-battle, granted rank 10 is the best since anyone can swap someone out on their turn instead of just Joker. Going into it, everyone were levels 44-46 and had the best available shop purchasable equips minus the ones you get from the locked chests in this palace.
As the weaknesses are as such for each phase where weaknesses apply:
1. Fire + Wind
2. Ice + Psy
3. Elect + Nuke + Gun
4. Wind + Bless + Gun
5. Psy + Curse
My party reflected this.
Start/Wave 1: Morgana, Ann, Makoto
Wave 2: Haru, Ann, Makoto (Haru gets swapped in for Morgana)
Wave 3: Ryuji, Ann, Makoto (Ryugi for Haru)
Wave 4: Morgana, Ann, Makoto (Morgana for Ryuji)
Wave 5: Haru, Ann/Ryuji, Makoto (the reason Ryuji I placed as a switch, is if you can swap him in fast enough for the final two rounds to score some Technicals which shock, though, when I ran this boss I just swapped in Haru and my final team was Haru, Ann, Makoto)
Other things that will help in this boss fight, mainly to clear the waves as fast as possible is to get access to the Black Market which will require the laptop from the shop in Yongen and repair tools from Akihabara's computer shop (8500 total) and a night to fix it (after unlocking, you have plenty of time to spare a night for repairs). The shop has throwable items have elemental effects; alternatively, you can find them also in Mementos while exploring/grinding or making them yourself at the bench. These can help get a baton pass chain going so you can either land on the character that's got the affinity for their weakness or to Joker to do it yourself; this especially helps in Wave 5.
Discussing the boss's mobs elsewhere, they can be afflicted with burn, freeze, and shock to induce Technicals; they are also all immune to Brainwash, Despair, Fear, and Rage, as well as instant-death abilities Sleep was left out, I do not know if that was a typo or not but I didn't really have to use it.
My biggest recommendation is to conserve as much SP as you can in the early fights until waves 4 and 5 utilizing Baton Passes as much as you can. There is one thing to note, if you clear all but one enemy, and that one explodes, it counts as clearing the wave and you won't have to redo it as the others run away before it explodes. One strange gimmick of this fight is that if your team is afflicted with Hunger and are hit by the Big Bang Challenge, you recover health on the ones who still have Hunger (granted, you should still guard). A lot of this fight is RNG based with who Okumura tells his mobs to attack. If someone's in the backline it's a free attack round with no damage to you. Having at least one Persona with a resurrect spell is a must when playing on higher difficulties or if you run into a case of bad luck (the Rank 9 challenge for the Twins, Bugs, has this skill).
Hopefully this information helps those who may struggle with this fight as it definitely changed from vanilla Persona 5.

Story-related and cannot be missed.

The Spaceport Palace is the fifth dungeon of the game. The deadline is described in-game as 10/11, however you must reach the treasure two days earlier in order to send the palace owner his calling card and defeat the main boss.

The trophy will unlock in the scenes following the dungeon's deadline.
