How to unlock the Gunslinger achievement in Pinball FX3 - Definitive Guide
"This one is fairly simple. You have to shoot the ball and spin the sheriff star at the top left of the field 10 times to light Duel at the drop hole above the left bumper. There is a flashing red light that says duel at the hole. Hit the ball in there and two lanes will light up. The lane that says TRAIN and the lane that says WANTED. You will have roughly 8 seconds to get the ball up either of these lanes. If you run out of time before hitting a lane, you must hit the left drop hole again. It stays lit until you activate an actual duel. Hitting the WANTED lane will send the ball to the right flipper and a magnet will hold it there while a bandit pops up on the left side of the playfield. Hitting the TRAIN lane will send it to the left flipper and hold it while a bandit pops up on the right of the field. Not sure if it is always in the same place but for me it popped up right in front of the right drop hole labeled RAMPAGE MULTIBALL. Wherever it pops up, you have to quickly hit it from whichever flipper the ball is on. I believe you have about 4 seconds to hit it. Hit the bandit and the achievement unlocks. If you are also going for a high score, the TRAIN lane will give you a bigger reward for winning the duel."
Step 1: Spin the sheriff's star 10 times
The star is in the upper left corner, shoot the star to spin it 10 times.
Step 2: Shoot The left most sink hole
After spinning the star 10 times the word DUEL will light up in front of the left most sink hole, shoot the ball into this sink hole.
Tip: A shot off the tip of the right flipper should put the ball on target for this hole.
Step 3: Shoot one of the flashing lanes
After sinking the ball into the "DUEL" hole you will have a short timer to shoot one of the flashing lanes. If successful, a duel will be initiated and a target will pop up.
Step 4: Shoot the target
After hitting a flashing lane, a target will pop up the ball will come to the flipper automatically and pause there. Then this is like the quick draw moment in a shoot out. The ball will start rolling; you must time your shot correctly to hit the target and earn the trophy.
