How to unlock the Can We Keep Him? achievement in Record of Agarest War - Definitive Guide

To get this achievement you have to capture a monster.

You can't start capturing monster until you complete the Cave of Origins, and obtain the Capture skill. After completing the Cave of Origins, the Monster Guild becomes available in towns.

You can get the Capture ability from Essential Arts Tome IV, and you get that from trading in TP at the Adventure Guild. The capture skill can be researched for these items.
- Long Sword ( Iron Sword + Horn of Devilkin + 500 G )
- Shotgun ( Handgun + Horn of Devilkin + 500 G )
- Poison Guard ( Bone Guard + Poisonous Petal + Poison Needle + 750 G )
- 3000 G
Once it's researched it can be purchased at the Item Shop.

If your trying to get this as early as possible you are going to have to equip it to Zerva, getting rid of his Black Mist ability. The Capture is better in my opinion than Black Mist anyway because you can capture some pretty strong monsters early on.

It is ideal to use Zerva for capture because of his Hunter willpower. In order to capture a monster you have to take it's health down to 5% or less.

- An example is a monster with 472 health, you will have to take them down to 23 or less.

It might take a couple turns to capture a monster but stick with it. Since capture take 15 AP you might have to risk your ranking to capture a monster.

I hope this helps!

It actually requires a LongHorn (Iron Break+ Horn of Devilkin + 500G) NOT a longsword.

Hey guys just a heads up. Especially if playing on hard, you are not likely to have either Zerva or Shenufair in your party; if you are not in a rush, in the beginning of generation four you get a weapon called blood sword.

Leo, Ladius and any other sword user can equip this weapon, and it comes with two dark slots, allowing you to equip the capture technique.

Also once Leo hits level 50, around generation 3 you can use proof of valor, opening his last two slots giving you access to an extra skill, so you can actually equip leo with both capture and merciful strike, the one two combo you normally use to capture.

Alright after you obtain the [CAPTURE] skill. You will have to equip this to [ZERVA] he is the only person you can at the time which means you will need to get rid of his one good move.

To get this achievement after it is equiped go to a battle werre there is a montster [imp] or a [hell dog] or a [bat thing] after you get there health down about to almost death use this move it will cost [15 AP] it might take more than one turn to capture and could take a few more turns then you like which risks of a lower ranking.

When you have the dark attribute skill Capture (the earliest you can get it is in a treasure chest in one of the quest areas), equip it to Zerva or Vira Lorr (they should be the only two who can use it at the earliest point in the game). In battle, weaken a monster down to a sliver of life remaining; the monster should be kneeling down to show it is weakened. Use the capture skill and pray that it works. The level of your characters' LUCK influences how often you can capture a monster.

For this achievement, you simply have to capture a monster. Reduce one down to below 5% Health (The Merciful Strike skill helps greatly here) and use the capture skill. The LUK stat effects how likely you are to capture a monster.
