How to unlock the The Fifth achievement in Record of Agarest War - Definitive Guide

I got this after beating Summerill. I was around lvl 94-96. I had to take him out before his minions that run with him. He also killed all but 2 of my Characters with him being lvl 105. Don't rush him just take slow and you'll beat him.
How ever beating the Gods are another story

This trophy is story related and will unlock naturally. You play as Rex in this Generation. You also meet the following party members in this Generation:

Dyshana (Finally able to use in your party.)

Story related, cannot be missed.

I would recommend Leonhart, Ladius, Rex, Thoma, Duran, and Dyshana for this generation. You will find the Forbidden Tome in the Uttara Kulu quest area near the start of the generation (south path) The big advantage of this group is that with 250SP each, you can pull off the U-formation special attack which will destroy any boss you come across. (Note: you can only get Dyshana if you have neutral alignment). There are many tough boss battles coming in this generation. You'll be facing two Gurgs at once, a Gurg and two Lindwors (tough flying enemies), two Huswards at once and, eventually, Four Gurgs at once and two Gurgs with the final boss. On Hard, the Gurgs will have around 100k HP.

If you have been following this guide and have the suggested party your formation should have Leonhart #1, Ladius #2, Rex #3, Duran #4, Thoma #5, and Dyshana #6 using the Vital field (smallest field). Your tactics every boss battle will be to send out Rex as your sacrifice and have Leonhart 3 squares behind him in his extended area. Move Dyshana or Thoma directly behind Leonhart; this will be your main character who will use resurrect. Leonhart also has two single tiles either side in front of him and a group of two either side behind him. The rest of your party will be in the two groups behind him. Place Duran in the further forward of these two so that his extended area has a square directly in front of Leonhart. (When Dyshana/Thoma moves to resurrect Rex, they will be here and as such still in the extended area). Have Ladius and Thoma/Dyshana on the furtherest back squares in Leonhart's extended area.

Each battle will revolve around you resurrecting Rex and using your status/power/speed up etc. skills to pump SP as before. A magic using Gurg will often move down to your side to attack Thoma/Duran, but thanks to their magic barrier and high resistance, this should not be a huge issue. Often, you will be unsure if you can take out a boss in one blast and/or not know when exactly to execute your attack (for example using EX2s at 100SP to kill the Lindwors as early as possible, rather than waiting for EX3s) so you can expect to take a couple of attempts at some boss battles. (The battle with the Gurg and two Lindwors can be especially tough due to your level at that point and their area attacks). If you have been boosting your vitality as suggested by this point in the game, it will have made a large difference. For example, if you are on a second playthrough and gave each character 100 VIT with PP as soon as you obtained them, then you may be on around 35k HP compared to 15-18K on a pure Hard run. This is one of the main reasons why a second playthrough is much easier.

Near the end of the generation, you have the chance to make some fantastic active skills, namely +999 attack and +900 magic items for around 350k EP each. Though you may only be able to make a few at that point (a large amount of EP only comes from the Boundary Zone later), they can be a big help to the final battles. To make them, you need to capture, combine, and trade monsters at the guild. An Ogre and Silver Dragon combined for a Rafflesia will give +900 Magic and a Rafflesia combined with a Medusa for a Griffin with give +999 attack. These can be found in Vinceberg Sea III and Soraida Passage just after the Desert in the fifth generation. You may also want to head to Deep Forest Naruvia. The enemies here are around level 110, so you can level up extremely quickly even if you are on the late 80s or early 90s. There are also some very useful items to be found here. Furthermore, many enemies are susceptible to the death effect of the 'Judgement' combined skill (Impulse, + Atomic Hole, + Stardust + Ray + Ascension) making battles easier than they first appear.

Your choice of bride in this generation does not matter so take whoever you like. You will obtain all the other images in the gallery through secret albums obtained through titles, so nothing is missable if you have been following the perfect path.
