How to unlock the Friends 'Til The End achievement in Redfall - Definitive Guide
The trust level is displayed in-game via the hand icon visible in the lower left corner of the screen, below the character bars.
When you play in co-op with 3 other people the trust meter shows up +1 level after the first one, i.e. the trust progression is as follows:
Trust level 1 shows up in-game as Trust level 1
Trust level 2 shows up in-game as Trust level 3
Trust level 3 shows up in-game as Trust level 4
Trust level 4 shows up in-game as Trust level 4 as well!
This means that this achievement should pop shortly after you level your trust with other characters to level 3, as it will be showing Trust level 4 (for the time being - it will for sure be patched).
Unfortunately, for some reason this bug does not work in favor of the other character achievements.
The Trust level in 4-player co-op still shows up as lvl4 when you are indeed level 3 and the character-specific cheevos will only pop after you complete majority of the first part of the game in this mode (with 3 other characters).

Just some tips incase anyone is a little confused by this achievement like I was.
All members of the group must be max friendship with each other. So this won't unlock if you don't have the other three Co op achievements.
Everyone in the party needs to be a different character as you can't level up your friendship with the same character your playing as.
The green hand icon under the health bar will have a little animation going when your leveling up your friendship. Looks like ➕ going upwards
Easiest way I found to get this was to use the red mist method on each character one at a time until there was no more animation happening on the green hand. Then I'd switch character to someone who did have the animation.
Red mist method is just having someone die in the red mist and constantly reviving them.
Hope this helps :)

How would you load up 3 characters at the same time?

I have 2 xboxs and a laptop. Could also use cloud gaming if needed.

Going to throw my own perspective on the process of getting this achievement.
My friends and I did this with the Red Mist method / have one person go down in the mist as it hurts you and have another person revive them to build trust quickly, usually it can take from 2-3 hours per person instead of doing multiple playthroughs with inconsistent trust building.
We were all new and different characters so we would also get the individual corresponding achievements, also trust saves between sessions as long as you use the same characters with the same players.
My friends and I noticed there are technically 3 separate ways to see the trust of your characters:
1. The little bars for individual characters in the menu. If you open the loadout menu where it shows your character and their weapons if you hover over your character in the middle it will show the other people in your party with 3 little bars. Don't worry about these as they are glitchy and inconsistent, they can go from 1 bar to 3 bars to the star for maximum trust, then back to 1 bar without reason.
2. The green indicator on the bottom left corner of the screen. It looks like two hands clasping together with a number. This will go through 1-4, as long as the number that is next to doing like a pulsating motion then you are gaining trust, though when it is not it is probably because you have maximum trust with that person.
3. The health bar at the bottom of the screen. It will have a little icon saying "Trust Strengthened" with a thumbs up in green, it will pop in yellow with "Max Trust" if you are maxed with that person.
Even if you are confident that you have gotten maximum trust with everyone you may need to reload into the lobby for it to count and unlock.
It's time-consuming and infuriating I know, just keep at it and the Red Mist method will work.

Here is my own guide to describe my own experiences and opinions concerning all of the trust relating achievements, as well as providing tips for what worked for me and my team best. I do apologize if this guide is a bit long. I try to be as in depth as possible because going into these achievements confused and overwhelmed like I was is something I wouldnt wish on any fellow achievement hunter.
This achievement requires every single player to be max trust with every other player. aka just one player cannot be max trust level with the others but the OTHERS must also be max trust with everyone in order for the achievement to pop.
First off, the trust level display in the inventory (the bars) is bugged as hell and it is really frustrating because unless you've never played redfall coop before, you will have no idea what your actual trust level with the different characters will be.
Overview on how I believe the trust system works:
I found the loadout trust level to be somewhat accurate at the very start of our session (although buggy later) because at one point I acquired two trust achievements and my loadout trust levels then displayed a star for those two characters. However a teammate of mine disconnected and when he joined back the bars were random numbers all over again. I made a mental note of this that I had these two characters completed and that I just needed the 3rd one. I would probably just not pay attention to the trust level displays at all and just keep farming trust levels until you see the individual character achievement pop. These were my ABSOLUTE indicators that I maxed out trust levels with a character. More absolute indicators that you are maxed on trust is when you revive someone you will see on the namecards of the other players green and the words "trust strengthened". When this doesnt show up anymore you have maxed out trust for the character you are reviving. This does seem to have a cooldown though. If you are doing the red mist method reviving one person over and over again, the "trust strengthened" text will only appear every 3rd revive. However the hand icon lights up after every revive, so who knows if trust is actually going up or not.
Something I found really interesting is that despite reading that players can afk in the red mist and be revived by one person and everyone gains trust level, this didnt seem to work for me. I originally thought that only the characters reviving and being revived gained trust, but after a while it seemed like only the person REVIVING the players gained trust levels with them, because at one point after using the red mist method I was maxed out with everyone, but my teammates still did not have the character achievements despite me having them. At the same time, it does seem to sometimes work, because one instance I was being revived by a Layla, and we both had eachothers trust achievement pop at the same time. I guess it just depends on if you're lucky or not. Players will just need to experiment with this in their own session.
Ultimately my team and I switched between doing missions/objectives and the red mist method, because doing the red mist method for hours on end can get really boring, especially when you consider all the bugs and things that seem to differ from player to player. We used all the tips I provided above and when everyone stopped getting trust levels then our achievement popped.

Overview on how I believe the trust system works:
- While playing with other characters in coop, you will gain trust with them, but you do not gain trust for the character you are playing yourself. This means if you play Jacob, but have a friend who is on Layla, you will only gain trust for Layla. And to get trust for Jacob, YOU will need to play another character and have your friend or somebody in your game play Jacob. You can obviously squad up with 3 other players to make this easier and gain trust for 3 characters at once.
- Additionally, trust levels seem to carry over. Like I detailed in the last bullet, trust levels are tied to characters (Layla, Devinder, Jacob, Remi). This means if you played with a person playing Jacob and got him to trust level 2, this trust level would carry over to other coop games in the future. This can be even more confusing because like I mentioned the trust tracker in the inventory is completely broken and you will have no idea how much trust you really have with somebody.

Friends 'Til the End is pretty much exactly the same as the 4 other co-op achievements (like Friendgineering (17G)), however, for this one, you need to do it with a full team of 4 players... at the same time. So, grab 3 of your buddies and plough through the story.
We recommend doing this either on your first run, or speed-running it once you have the lay of the land - and are going for other achievements that you didn't get on your first run.
