After playing through the campaign on normal, it took about 1.5/2 hours of this method to get the remaining points for the achievement. Not a bad grind and it goes by quickly.

In order to unlock chapter select, do you have to complete Jake's Campaign or the entire campaign first?

You have to play Jake's campaign unto that chapter to unlock the chapter select.

Actually, you don't have to play through Jake's campaign up to the 4.3 chapter - you can simply load up the last sub-chapter of each chapter and beat that to unlock all the sub-chapters for the next chapter.

So load up Jake 1.5, complete it, then load up 2.5, complete that, then 3.5, then you can just load up Jake 4.3. So basically you only have to play through 3 of Jake's sub-chapters to get to 4.3.

It took me about 15-20 minutes to access Jake 4.3 this way. :)

I also find this grinding method goes quicker if you ignore the boxes and just go straight for the chests. The time it takes to mess about with the boxes doesn't seem to be worth the points it gives you, at least it seems that way to me. Like, 14,000 every 2 minutes vs 14,500 every 3 minutes. :/

Been doing this on my lunch breaks with console streaming. It seems like you score about 100K every 10/15 minutes (I'm skipping boxes and only doing the two chests).

Yes! That's what I'm talking about! I thought I would have to play everything again to make some money but with this trick I bought all the upgrades in an hour. Thanks

That's a interesting alternative and break from running the same ally for the points. That's a good find.

I've found this method a little tedious at times, so I switched it up by doing this method with Jake, as well as Chris' Campaign, chapter 3, part 3-5 (The Medical Research Center), you get about 36000 points on No Hope from 2 2000 points, a 4k point, then 2 5ks with the 2x from No hope, in around 7ish minutes, with a bit less time navigating the menus to go back to the chapter. Both I think are similar yields, Chris's campaign does require a bit more effort though because you have to beat Leon and Helena both to the elevator, and to unlocking the door.

Edit: Forgot to add, if you do Chris's skill run, you have to get to the cutscene where he and Piers chase Ada in the jeep before you can quit, I tried quitting after the checkpoint where Piers and Chris jump down onto the platform after the locks event and it didn't work

My method takes an average of 6 minutes, but it helps with the BOW's are Ugly achievement.

First you need the Bear Commander with infinite grenade launcher, fast reload and Firearms 3 are great too...

Load up Ada 2-3, kill the Whopper ahead of you, then go where the emblem is/was, and draw the other Whopper out of the water, kill him and the Whopper guarding the lab key.

After you grapple up, kill the whopper that spawns behind you, move forward, and kill the chrysalid that breaks though the wall ahead of you, grab the 4,000 skill points from the chest where the chrysalid spawned, run around the corner and kill the other chrysalid that spawns (btw, I don't think these two count towards the BOW's are ugly cheevo, but hey, its 3,000 skill points!) Run to the door to trigger the chrysalids, there should be 5 of them, kill them all then finish the level!

Whoppers 4 X 2,500 = 10,000

Chrysalids 7 X 1,500 = 10,500 (Only 5 should count towards the BOW's are Ugly)

Chest 1 x 4,000 = 4,000

Grand Total = 24,500 in an average of 6 minutes

If you do this map 20 times to grind out the BOW cheevo, that's only about an hour and a half and 490,000 skill points!!

The skills menu can be brought up by selecting Play Game -> Campaign -> Skill Settings from the main menu. You’ll also automatically be taken to the Skill Settings menu between chapters.

Purchasing skills requires skill points. Skill points can be earned by killing enemies in Campaign and Mercenaries mode. Larger sums of skill points can be picked up in suitcases/chests throughout campaign. A useful skill to pick up early on is “Item Drop Increase.” Along with more ammo and healing items, slain enemies will also drop skill points more often.

For this achievement, you’re required to max out all the skills that can be leveled up. Any skill that has Lv. next to it is required. It will cost a total of 954,000 skill points to purchase all the skills required.

These are the skills required with their cost per level:

  • Firearm Lv. 3 | 12,000 | 29,000 | 75,000
  • Melee Lv. 3 | 10,000 | 25,000 | 75,000
  • Defense Lv. 3 | 3,200 | 28,000 | 80,000
  • Lock-On Lv. 2 | 2,800 | 31,000
  • Rock Steady Lv. 2 | 3,500 | 33,000
  • Critical Hit Lv. 3 | 3,500 | 13,000 | 32,000
  • Piercing Lv. 3 | 12,000 | 28,000 | 55,000
  • J’avo Killer Lv. 2 | 3,000 | 25,000
  • Zombie Hunter Lv. 2 | 3,000 | 25,000
  • Combat Gauge Boost Lv. 2 | 70,000 | 90,000
  • Recovery Lv. 2 | 10,000 | 70,000
  • Field Medic Lv. 2 | 12,000 | 95,000

There are several ways you can farm skill points.

Chris Chapter 5 - A popular farming method is to load Chapter 5 in Chris' campaign and play until you reach the circular room where a timer will start. It takes 3-4 minutes to reach the room, and another 3-4 minutes for the timer to run out.

You'll notice that when each lever in this room are pulled, two cocoons will come out on conveyer belts. You can wait for the J'avo to pull these levers, or pull the levers yourself when they're lit bright green. Up to ten B.O.W.s will spawn from the cocoons, consisting of Napads and Gnezdos. Each one you kill will drop a 1,500 or 2,500 point skill piece. Once you've killed them all and picked up all your skill points, proceed to the next area. Skip the cutscene and wait for the Saving... icon to appear before quitting. Go to Chapter Select and repeat.

Each run earns you around 18,000 skill points. It will take around 6 hours to farm the 954,000 skill points you need using this method. Difficulty doesn't affect the amount of skill points dropped, so set it to amateur to make it easier. Firearm Lv. 3 paired with infinite ammo will also speed up the process.

Mercenaries - If you plan on playing alot of Mercenaries and getting good at it, this is an excellent way to earn skill points. It's a good way to take a break from the monotony of farming campaign. You can find a guide with alot of info in the X360A forums HERE.

Cases/Chests in Campaign - These are scattered throughout the campaign and have large sums of skill points inside them. Keep an eye out for these as you play through, and if you'd like, X360A user Plasma SKX has a video guide for every skill point location that you can follow HERE.

METHOD 1 (longer)
Chris's Campaign, Easy Difficulty, Chapter 5 . Get to the room with the levers (the time report is there). When you press the levers, enemies begin to spawn (2 BOWs, Napads or Gnezdo). We kill everyone, go out through the door, wait for the save and restart the mission... repeat the process. In one run (8-10 minutes) you can gain from 17k to 20k skill points. For the trophy you need to score 954,000 skill points. Infinite ammo to help you.

METHOD 2 (faster)
Campaign for Jake chapter 4-3, difficulty level - NIGHTMARE (required...because here your earned skill points are multiplied by 2 times). After loading the level, we move forward by jumping over the second barrier immediately to the left, the treasure box at 2k. Having walked a little further, we see a group of running enemies, then we look carefully - on the right, near the trash can, there is another box with treasure for 5k. We reach the door... there is a save - this is a CT scan. We all feel free to go to the menu. As a result, in about 1 minute we get (2000+5000)x2=14000 skill points. If you also collect small things along the way, there will be a little more.

Here's what you'll need to buy (you don't need to buy all the skills from the list, but only those that have level 1, 2, 3):
  • Firearms (level 1 = 12000 / level 2 = 29000 / level 3 = 75000)
  • Melee (level 1 = 10000 / level 2 = 25000 / level 3 = 75000)
  • Defense (level 1 = 3200 / level 2 = 28000 / level 3 = 80000)
  • Faithful hand (level 1 = 2800 / level 2 = 31000)
  • Steadfastness (level 1 = 3500 / level 2 = 33000)
  • Critical hit (level 1 = 3500 / level 2 = 13000 / level 3 = 32000)
  • Penetration (level 1 = 12000 / level 2 = 28000 / level 3 = 55000)
  • Assassin J'avo (lvl 1 = 3000 / lvl 2 = 25000)
  • Zombie Hunter (level 1 = 3000 / level 2 = 25000)
  • Strengthening the battle scale (level 1 = 70000 / level 2 = 90000)
  • Recovery (level 1 = 10000 / level 2 = 70000)
  • Field doctor (level 1 = 12000 / level 2 = 95000)

In the game itself on Nightmare, points are given in the same way as on Newbie (at least in chests for sure), but when you then go to settings and purchase skills, more points are added there after playing on Nightmare. In that short period on Nightmare, I took 7800 points for Jake, and in setting up and purchasing skills I added 18000. Retrieved 06/25/2018.

Choosing Chris's Company Chapter 5
We get to the place where the time is counted and there are levers that call on pupae, of which they then give from 1500 to 2500.
Fight back kills all BOO
And go through the door, the system saves everything you received, then go to the menu and repeat the process, the time goes away in about 10 minutes, during which time you get 18,000 thousand skill points....
To simplify things, I recommend using infinite ammo.

Select chapter 4-3 for Jake (Poisavan - shopping area) difficulty level "Nightmare" (No Hope). This is just a corridor without enemies, in which you will find 2 chests (2K and 5K) + a bunch of boxes, for one pass about 8-9K points, which are doubled by the difficulty level. We reach the door, wait until the game is saved and exit to the menu. The entire cycle, including preparation, takes no more than 3 minutes. 17-18K in 3 minutes.

Ada's campaign chapter 2-3 (underground laboratory). It takes 5 minutes to complete and during this time you can get 22,000 points. First there will be fat zombies for 1500, then a chest with 4000 and thugs for 1500. There will be no ordinary enemies.

The most tedious and time-consuming trophy. I advise you to save it for last. For fans of the mercenary mode, it’s really easier to farm there. I tried all the farming methods, the most effective for Chris. With a certain skill, you can do 6-7 races in an hour, if you do everything very quickly. And considering that 20,000 per call, it turns out to be up to 140,000 per hour. Not bad.

Chris's campaign chapter 3-5. Set the difficulty to No hope, this doubles the points. we run lasers faster than Leon, which will give 2 chests of 2k each, we hack the room with prototypes also faster than Leon, the output will be chests with 14k in total. We reach the chase in jeeps and get out.
36k points and - 5-6 minutes for everything.

The game has been updated, now you can select episodes in chapters.
I found an option in episode 3 of chapter 3 (where the snake is) in a secret room (you need to crawl), after the first “crawl” in a narrow passage, look for the same passage in the next room. So a box with 10,000. From the beginning of this episode -5 minutes + 2 to reach the checkpoint.

At the beginning 3-1, . after meeting the snake and running forward a hundred meters, to the left of the gate where the partners are waiting there is a playground - there you can ride a slide. Pierce, at least.

Another very good place is Chapter 2 for Chris (although you will have to go through it completely). After the battle with the Giants, you find yourself in a building with many dolls and this place is ideal for farming experience, first you find yourself in a room with a small number of dolls from which thugs will appear, then there will be a lot of thugs again but in the main hall, bring them all down. Immediately after this room you will meet three cocoons from which a wyvern will hatch (I don’t know what they are called). Immediately after the Wyverns you will jump off the ledge and there will be a checkpoint and this is actually the whole boost. Yes, there will still be dolls there, but if you kill them and move on, it will be the end of the chapter. So after the checkpoint, we go to the main menu, click continue and start from the moment we entered the house, while all the experience that we collected will be saved

Approximately 18,000 gather. It takes approximately 10 minutes. (well, of course, this is how to play and with what weapon).

Of course, I advise you to go through with an endless grenade launcher, freezing is a great thing. They froze the coffin, hit him, he will be stunned, hit him again, ran away, froze, smashed him and took away the experience. The wyvern was even easier to freeze and break.

select the mercenaries mode - create a game for two - invite a friend - location bridge (steel beast)

- easily and naturally we shoot at rank S (this is no less than 220,000) and in 10 minutes of game time

time we earn depending on the points received.

for example, you scored 330,000, which means you earned 33 thousand skills a few passes and you're good to go

upgrade another skill

In parallel with the accumulation of experience, we also earn medals for trinkets

Chris's method of the fifth chapter may be just as good (although unlikely. IMHO), but you need so much experience that

Running at the same level will simply make you sick.

so my choice is mercenaries. You can simply find someone on the leftist network, but the search takes a lot of time
