How to unlock the Bullet Barrage achievement in Resonance of Fate - Definitive Guide

You need to do a combo that lands 500 hits.

This is sort of a perfect storm situation. The ideal enemies are melee types like gremlins, as shooters will interrupt your combo.

I did this in chapter 6 against a bunch of snow gremlins. The key I think is to duel-wield guns. Running around in heroic actions allows you to build up the hits and send enemies airborne. Build up your bonus hit gauge so you can land more hits and keep the combo going. Don't kill enemies unless you need too, just keep running around and hurting them. Also don't use your bonus gauge on an enemy with low HP with a handgun. You'll probably kill it before you finish shooting.

As for modifications, be sure to equip the biggest magazines you can on your guns as well as do what you can to speed up targeting. If you take too long between shots the combo will end. Damage should be a tertiary factor here, prioritizing bullets and aim speed.

It's all about positioning. Land a 500 hit combo.

I found this easier to achieve with only two party members. I did this in Chapter 6 on the 7th level of Basel in the Silver Canyon on the bridge fighting Snow Gremlins and Chilly Dogs just like in the guides above.

Things that helped me!

- Try and build up your Hero Gauge to six or so by collecting Basel Shards.

- I recommend using only handguns because they don't do large amounts of damage. Scratch damage will only help kill the monsters faster.

- Duel wield with at least one character and try to have the highest clip sizes that are available.

- Run short distances using Hero Actions, towards the enemies going pasting them only letting your gauge charge only once between shots so you get the most out of your Hero Actions.

- Press the x button immediately upon switching characters so you go into Hero Actions so you can set up your path and then target the closest enemy so you don't lose your combo count.

- Don't run to far away from the enemies because the father away you run the longer your charge gauge takes and the greater your chance of losing the combo increases.

- Run towards your next character that way the enemies will follow you bring them closer to the character who is attacking next. Jumping helps because the enemies don't go airborne allowing them to chase you but is not necessary when the enemies hit gauge is higher because then you have a better chance at bonus hits.

I hope this helps anyone who is having trouble!

I just did this the other day and found it was really easy to do.

What I did was I went to the arena and entered one of the lower ranks. You want to make sure that there is at least one melee enemy in the fight. As for equipment I didn't need to dual wield but I would think it would make it go faster. Just make sure one person has at least one MG. You could also, if able to, equip two people with the MG.

Once the battle starts kill everything EXCEPT one melee enemy.
You may want try to move everyone except your MG person away from the last guy. But I didn't need to and its up to you.

Then switch to your MG person and just do a normal attack. As soon as the attack finishes switch back to the same MG person(or to another person who has a MG) and do a normal attack again.

I was able to do this using Zephyr. Any time the melee enemy would get close I was able to pop him up in the air.

If you think the enemy might melee you and stop your combo do a short hero run a little ways behind him.

You can also if you are getting close do a hero run to make sure you get it. You are also able to hero run then after it is over switch back to the person you just had hero run and do it again.

Just make sure your switching back to your MG person quickly and this should pop.

This achievement may sound obnoxious at first but is rather very simple. Just wait until later chapters where you get enough hero gauges (to be safe) and multiple fast-charging machine guns. This can be done easily in the Arena ideally against monsters with multiple layers (those spider-like machines or humbaba). Build up 2 or 3 resonance points and do a tri attack. Stay on the ground for bonus hits. Once the monster is airborne, keep shooting with a single charge for more bonus hit opportunities. If you prefer, equip machine guns only (not to kill the monster). However, I got this achievement during a normal course of battle (two MG and one HG) doing a tri attack with 2 resonance points (got 550 hits).
EDIT: I connected the charge speed x2 terminal and the effect x2 terminal (among others) from level 5 to the Arena (use teal hexes), if this would make a difference.

CyberSkull's guide is pretty perfect. I've just got a few things to add.

- I did this in Chapter 5 against Snow Gremlins and Chilly Dogs, so while dual-wielding would be useful, it's not essential.

- Don't waste your hero actions by jumping, always run past the enemies and try to make them airborne to land those bonus hits. Whoever you've got wielding the MG will be your workhorse in this regard; a massive percentage of the combo hits will be scratch damage.

- Taking too long between shots will end your combo, but - as stated - it will also end if you get struck so try and keep a pretty good distance between your party members and the enemies.

I got this on chapter 13 while grinding out some extra rubies in the arena, had 2 of my characters dual wielding handguns & 1 dual wielding machine guns.

Now what I did was build up my resonance gauge to about 3 or 4 then just used my resonance on whatever was left that I hadn’t killed yet. Just make sure your characters are spaced out properly & use small to medium charges or the resonance will end before you can get the required number of hits into the enemies for the achievement.

Also had a knockback x2 effect going not sure if it effects the combo meter though.

In Episode 6, after completing The Fashion Check mission (see) you will receive MG Drum Magazine. After that it turns out anywhere. In the first skirmish we come across, we shoot all the enemies except one. We shoot the last one only with a fighter with Scratch damage. We don’t let the counter spin, and as soon as the shot scale is filled, we fire.

The trophy is won quite calmly by shooting with 2 hands strictly with the same character. We quickly switch to the same character and simply mash the enemy up to 999 combos. Naturally, this only works on higher level enemies.
