How to unlock the Aurora Mastery achievement in Roguebook - Definitive Guide

I got this in an Aurora + Fugoro run and got the achievement for him as well.
Epilogue 0 and both heros were at about 90-92% in the achievement tracker so 4-5 more cards needed for each.
I used an Aurora card called Spellwhirl (uncommon) that I picked up in Chapter 2 and I also went into a gem mine in Chapter 2 and picked up a gemstone called Phasestone (epic.) Spellwhirl let's you choose a hero and it generates 2 random cards from that hero's card pool into your hand and Phasestone puts Spellwhirl on top of your deck at the end of your turn so you can keep drawing it every single turn. I decided to try to prolong each battle as long as I could to keep seeing more cards every turn, mostly just trying to block to prolong the fight as long as possible. The boss battle of Chapter 2 was the most productive since bosses have lots of health I was able to just block (more or less) for quite a few turns in a row before having to mulligan the fight by quitting to the main menu then repeat etc. I got the achievement for Aurora in that battle then I switched to have the card target Fugoro instead and repeated the method for him. I happened to notice while using him for it though that I was generating the same cards over and over so the RNG is likely already laid out beforehand it seems so the RNG isn't "truly" random but I was able to prolong the fight for around 12-15 turns so I got to see a lot of different cards to play for each hero. I didn't get the achievement for him in that battle but I was able to do the same thing in Chapter 3 and got the last needed card early on there so simply more battles fixes the "RNG" issue.

You just need to play the card, you don't need to complete the turn or the battle.

[Tips for getting this achievement with the other characters]

Sorocco has a card called Ulani (rare) that will put a random card from either hero's card pools into your hand every turn. If you can get a Gem of Growth (+1 spirit) or the treasure Eredon's Drum (+1 spirit all allies) then you can essentially do the same trick as Spellwhirl+Phasestone of getting 2 random cards generated every turn, however ideally you would want a Gem of Evolution (+4 spirit) or the flash gem Everlife Amber (+5 spirit.) +4 spirit might be better since you can only hold 10 cards at once but if you can prolong the battle long enough then you can possibly draw whatever gets discarded from Ulani trying to put 6 cards into your hand each turn. I've come across the flash gem one a lot more often than the +4 one in general so that combination is more likely but increasing Ulani's spirit anyway possible will let you see lots of random cards every turn. (Only attach the flash gem one "during" battles so that way you can get it back when you mulligan.)
This method is probably ideal for getting this achievement for each character because you could see up to 5 random cards each turn, however it's not targeting like Spellwhirl so once you get Sorocco's achievement then obviously you're just hoping to see as much of the other hero's card pool as possible.

Keep in mind that Ulani is a rare card and that all the gems and everything is random to get in a run but if you can pull off the Spellwhirl+Phasestone combo or the Ulani + additional spirit combo then you'll be seeing a ton of free cards to play every turn/battle and will be much more productive towards the achievements than just new runs in general so keep an eye out for those combinations beforehand during any run.

[Further tips]

Sorocco has a card called Crystal Spice that puts 2 random cards from his card pool into your hand (and they both cost 0) and Fugoro has a Slot Machine card that puts a random rare card of his into your hand. Both of these cards are very useful towards the achievements and are pretty good in general so picking them up in "any" Epilogue level run is probably a good idea. Obviously Fugoro's will only target his rare card pool but it's actually one of his best cards and it's a common so I always take it anyway.

Anyone had any problems with this. I seem to be stuck at 98% i made a list of every card in the game under the characters section and used them all. I have found a Mentor card on the official website but im guessing an update took it out of the game. I can't belive i have played this long and not seen this card. I've sat using the spell whirl thing for hours.

No I haven't had any issues with this achievement for any of the characters.
The Mentor card doesn't ring a bell, all of the cards you need to play are in that compendium section, that is the list you need to play so any cards not on that list aren't a part of the achievement.
Since your comment "I've sat using the spell whirl thing for hours" is a little vague I'll make a couple of points; if you're reloading the same battle over n over then you're going to get the same cards over n over. I touched on it in my guide, the RNG for randomly generated cards seems to be laid out already so just prolong the fight as long as possible to see cards then mulligan and play the battle to win optimally then prolong the next battle etc. The more battles you see the more RNG you will see, doing a prolonged battle more than once won't produce different RNG for the generated cards.
If that wasn't what you meant then just in general doing the "Spellwhirl thing" for hours is actually normal for how long it can take and especially since you only need one more card. That last card only has a 1/50 chance of appearing so it's luck based and will simply take time. If you get a Spellwhirl+Phasestone combo early on in a run then just focus on blocking cards with a decent ratio of powerful attacks so you can progress when needed and just do as many long battles with that combo that you possibly can. You can also try for the Sorocco/Ulani method in my guide, you'll have up to five cards generated each turn. That is for both hero's card pools but running both characters means you'll have a chance for either combo to crop up in a run.
Anyways it does take hours so that's not out of the ordinary.
