How to unlock the It's over 9,000!!! achievement in Sacred Citadel - Definitive Guide

The only way I have been able to unlock this so far is by using the mage. Whilst levelling, I put around 20 points into defense for some survivability and all my other points into power. This means you get to use your super move (pressing B when you have a full bar) more often and also greatly boosts it's damage potential.

You will want to have unlocked your third bar of the super move gauge and have around 38 points in the power stat and some decent weapons to boost your elemental attack. When you see a large group of enemies, press B and you will turn them all into chickens. When they explode, there is a very high chance you'll break 9000 damage. My achievement popped after doing 12,000 (poor little chicken). I got this on the first group of enemies I fought after completing the game once. I believe that the weaker the enemy, the higher the chance of breaking 9000.

This is also confirmed to be unlockable with the warrior. Thanks to member Rahszhul for the method. below :-

Warrior
Level 40; Attack 40;
RB+Y Crusher attack fully charged.
Hammer damage listed as 579-724 in the menu.

I repeated this a few times since I didn't see the damage I did to unlock the achievement. But on the retries, I got a wide range from 6K to 15K.

Thanks for that Rahszhul, I'll add that strategy and credit accordingly.

"I believe that the weaker the enemy, the higher the chance of breaking 9000"
I don't think so.
My Mage character is level 35 and I have 40pts in power and some in attack and ranged attack.

Well, when I use the B button chicken attack during the very first stages my max damage is about 5-6K, but it grows up in chapter 2,3 and finaly 4. I get the achievements by using this attack only in chapter 4 against a huge Orc (in the tank area).

So I guess the stronger is the ennemy, the higher the chance of breaking 9000.

Just unlocked it now - see below for Class/Stats;

Mage - lvl 28
Attack: 32
Defense: 14
Dexterity: 3
Power: 5*

*I had 1 Crystal in place, which boosted my Power to 9 when the Cheevo unlocked.

Nice guide.

Mage - Level 33
Attack: 24
Defense: 0
Dexterity: 0
Power: 40

Chapter 5
Level 1

I played until the cannibals cooked an orc and used the chicken transform attack.
Damage: 12000
i repeated this stage > 12.000 damage again.
so no luck or critical hit is required.

This by far seems to be the easiest way. I don't think my mage was even L 30 last night when I got this. Compared to a L 40 Ranger that was not able to get this achievement for me.

I was able to do this with a Warrior on Act 4/Stage 1 against the statues that come to life.

Level 40; Attack 40;
RB+Y Crusher attack fully charged.
Hammer damage listed as 579-724 in the menu.

I repeated this a few times since I didn't see the damage I did to unlock the achievement. But on the retries, I got a wide range from 6K to 15K.

I was able to get this with a level 35 warrior on the boss to level 4 in act 5. I waited until several small minions were on the screen as well as the boss and then I consumed a Rage Potion (left on d-pad). Then, I unleashed a lvl 3 power attack (push "B" when all three bars of the power meter are filled). My stats were:

Attack 26
Defense 26
Dexterity 8
Power 8
Critical Hit: 10%
Elemental Hit: 5%

My weapons were ( not sure this matters or not) two fire axes
#1- phys damage 141-176 and fire damage 122-152
#2- phys damage 165-206 and fire damage 120-150
Secondary (Y) wpn was a hammer: Phys dmg 276-346

It seems the Rage Potion stacked damage with my power attack. Who knows, maybe I got in a lucky critical. But, it worked for me.

This damage has to be dealt to 1 enemy. It is not a combined total. This is the trickiest achievement in the game.

Mage: Make sure you have around 20-25 points into the Power attribute. Go to town and fill up your Rage and Magic potions. Also buy crystals that give you power. These shards come in 3 sizes, so buy one of each in power (+4, +6, +8). This gives you +18. Go into a level and make sure you have 3 blocks of magic, then press  to use the spell. This will turn the enemies into chickens and then they will explode. This should do about 12,000+ damage with critical. Without critical, you will likely only get just above 7,000. This means it will take several attempts given you only have around 10% critical chance.

Warrior: The warrior must have most points into Attack. Using the  + hold  is the attack needed for the damage. You should have 3 crystals all attack which equals +18 attack. Mixed with the rage potion you should be able to do the damage needed as long as you had good attack to begin with and a very high damage output with secondary weapon. The hard part is executing the attack. You will need to get down to 1 enemy. Block the incoming enemies attack with . This will stun the enemy giving you time to execute your attack and get the achievement.

Note: The Shaman and Hunter class likely cannot get this achievement. None of their attacks do enough damage.

Becomes a sorceress. We pump up the damage to the maximum (40), open the third level of power, save, find the enemy, press “B”.
