Most people will have enough skill to get this achievement quite naturally using their favourite track.
However, for people like me (ie not so skilled) I did this.
The track I chose was Monza. In the options, turn off race penalties, set the race distance to 5% (which will equal 1 lap), set yourself to start from pole and set the AI difficulty to Professional.
From the start speed down to the first chicane and go straight on. This is the best place to get a lead on the pack. For the rest of the lap you'll have to ride around the track as you normally would. The second chicane looks to be a good place to go straight on but as soon as you hit the run off area, you are slowed to a crawl which allows the pack to catch up. So try and take it as legally as possible basically.
Although there is only one place to get an advantage, Monza is still the easiest track as it is mainly long straights and sweeping corners so technically there is not much to get right.
Magny Cours is an alternative as it has more opportunities to cut corners and jump ahead but I found it led me to have difficulty slowing the bike down for the next corner after cutting.
