How to unlock the Wizard achievement in Sega Vintage Collection: Monster World - Definitive Guide

To unlock this achievement, in Wonder Boy in Monster World, you must use all 6 types of Magic. These types are:

Firestorm
Thunder
Shield
Quake
Power
Return

Firestorm and Thunder can only be used when enemies are onscreen. The rest can be used whenever.

To find them isn't that difficult. There's a hidden door in the Pyramid map that gives you 5/6 of these magics, the only one left out is Return. Return can be found in the map Poseidon Temple. There are perfect maps to find these magics over on GameFAQs (link to this game here -> http://www.gamefaqs.com/genesis/586607-wonder-boy-in-monster... ) Big thanks to Dammit9x for these maps.

The achievement will unlock upon using one charge of these magics at least once.

Return

The 1st 5 can be found in 1 chest inside the pyramid. After you talk to sphinx, from the door you come out of back into the pyramid drop down to the left and walk right up against the wall you just dropped down, Push up and you will be in a room with the chest. Open it up to find 5/6 spells you need. (You can also find these spells elsewhere too. Firestorm you get given at the very beginning of the game.)

For Return, there is only 1 place you can find it, Poseidon's cave. Just after the section with where you need to disable the fans for the first time you will come to a crossroads with 2 balls floating in the middle. Head up and hit the red switch there, then go back and to the left, through the upper path you just disabled and work your way to the bottom left of this room.

Once you have all 6, equip them and use them, they do not need to hit anything to count. Be warned though that Return will take you back to the last inn you stayed at, so avoid using that if you are progressing through a dungeon or you will be redoing it.
