How to unlock the Deadly Obsession achievement in Shadow of the Tomb Raider - Definitive Guide

The best and easiest way to do this is as follows:

First complete the game on easy mode to unlock all or most of the skill perks, and upgrade your weapons as much as you can. When you come to new game+ all of your progress will carry over into deadly obsession.

Try as hard as you can to unlock all 9 skill perks (in the first easy run) that relate to focus, endurance and perspective - these will help you greatly in deadly obsession.

Buy all ammo extensions from the vendors in easy mode so you have maximum capacity for each weapon (and can collect all pickups) in new game+.

Make sure you always have at least 3 wood in your inventory so you can always use base camps (which act as a save in deadly obsession).

As you will not get regular checkpoints, make sure you complete all tombs in the first (easy) run and are basically familiar with the games routes (as these will not be obvious on deadly obsession).

The only difficulty you will encounter is the final boss, but to counter this just make sure your focus and health stocks are at maximum (45) before you enter the final game sequence. Also make sure you have equipped the jaguar outfit so the enemies struggle to detect and hear Lara moving. When Pedro Dominguez is searching for Lara with his back turned, use focus and full-out assault him, aiming for the head, then go to stab him with the knife.

Does anyone know if there is a camp in Cozumel? Like just before you reach the temple. Cause I seem to remember seeing one there.

Some camps are removed when you first enter an area, at least its what i noticed in my deadly run. There is no camp in the Cenotes puzzle as well. The missing camps spawn once you completed the game or maybe once you complete the mission itself, i didnt checked when exactly they appeared

I'm doing my first play through on Deadly Obsession, and haven't run into too much difficulty yet. Most deaths are from mishaps in tombs. But one thing I've realized that helps, especially with the lack of Survival Instaincts, is that you can use photographer mode to peak around corners and over obstacles to get a feel for puzzles and enemy positions. It's helped me so far.

I have not yet played yet, so bear with me.
BTW great tips here, I will deffo use them.
I have seen that skills are available to slow time, shoot 2 enemies, auto headshot, highlight enemies etc... do all these work during the DE run?
Are there other 'must have' skills... like the ledge grab etc?
How difficult are the Jaguars to kill during the DE run?
Thank you for any information.

The ledge grab is not required, but it is so so so so SO nice since that animation happens quite often in this game. Highlighting enemies will not be important because you have no Survival Instinct. The auto headshot is not automatic, it just changes the middle of the reticule to show you are aiming at the head. Rate of fire on the bow is good to have since you can set up and shoot rapidly easier in instances where you are compromised, but if you have the ammo, other weapons work better. Invest in skills that aid the makeshift weapons and secondary ammo (molotovs and fear arrows are great).

For DO run on NG+, does the 'Path of the Eagle' skills help with traversal in anyway?
Is there an ideal choice of skill set with NG+ (Serpent/Jaguar/Eagle)?
Thank you.

The hardest part of this palythrough is the lack of save points the cenote part is really annoying me, as I've had 2 silly deaths, the first time was from piranhas right near the end because I couldn't create the perception while in the water, he second was from the QTE and Lara not jumping when I pressed jump. I under stand its supposed to be hard but sometimes the distance between check points is a joke.

Hey Jrod, I have not yet started, so just asking out of curiosity only. What’s the most difficult part about the boss fight? The video looks straightforward, what is it I’m missing?
Thank you.

I’m trying the boss fight and only tried 3 times so far. Falling over the side shouldn’t be allowed cause that’s complete bs. I have gotten to 4 out of the 5 times you can press Y in the bubble. It seems not that hard if you use special ammonfor shotgun. The special ammo for the riffle sucks as it just launches I believe a grenade instead of shooting at target.

yeah the duration between saves is brutal in some areas. I'm at the cenote area where you have to fight a lot of enemies, then run while being attacked then try to climb out took over an hour and a half and I was skipping all collectibles and speed running it, I died a few minutes after getting climbing boots. Well good news is I am done with playing this game now, not worth the frustration and the last 2 achievements can go fuck themselves

@Breedhate68 I've died for the 4rd time in that section earlier , 2 times during the running section because she refused to grab a ledge somewhere and then when you have to make that big jump and press X to throw the axe. They even removed a camp site from near the end before you start the climb out .

Kudos to those that have completed DO. But would it have hurt for the devs to add a save point after about 45mins of play?

to make matters worse, in the oil fields, even if you clear out first 2 areas of the dozen or more enemies, if you go back and save, it won't count. Developer pricks think that was too easy I guess and the first save is somewhere after the scene where you have to run from helicopter. Not sure though since i died about a dozen times now and will not go for a 13th time, game really needs an overhaul on saves. I'll take much harder AI and all but i'm done till they fix it which they will with all the hate mail they are getting at Eidos Montreal

This is bullshit. There are TOO MANY instances where this stupid game will not register a ledge grab or a grapple axe throw, and then I die, and have to redo like an hour or so of progress. Whoever thought this difficulty was a good idea can go fuck themselves. Whatever happened to just beating a game on a harder difficulty, with tougher enemies? Now these masochistic devs want you to go 2 hours between saves and if you die, fuck you, repeat everything you just did.

@Breedhate68 I can confirm that you can clear camp go back and save to the only base camp you have there. That what i was doing. Died few times and camps were empty when i was going through them. Cenote is the worst part of the game due the only camp which you have before the ambush, puzzle and escape.
Don't rush if you are not chased by enemy. Do it slowly, saved whenever you can as much you can, you are not limited how many times you can save it, only when.

Yeah this mode is brutal. Im usally calm and all but some sections made me lost my shit.
I would suggest to watch videos, even if you played the game a day before. You always have to look if she turns her head before a jump and even then the game sometimes doesnt register that the character grabbed the ledge.

I watched Run Smiths Walkthrough. That Seraphim Dude is so negative, i wonder why he even played the game on DO again when he thinks its bad.
I say bullshit, this game is great and the Reboot series is better than any TR Game before.

Does this kick you all the way back to last campfire if you die no matter what? Say in the "escape" sequences will it do what hte last two tomb raiders did and just take you back to the start of hte level? or do i have to be running to a campfire every single time to save _any_ progress?

@count023, Ttsipov above mentioned in his comments the only unofficial save points he found. I have not found others any so far - and I've died a lot. I feel like I would have found them. This game is a little more skimpy on the campfires than the last two. It also has far fewer places where you can backtrack and abuse the save system; most places in the story involve pushing you forward without a save. It's still really not that bad, I think, except for two things: (1) the load times are unbelievably long, and (2) you'll die a lot just because you thought Lara would grab something that it turns out she won't. The absence of markers letting you know where the next grapple/ledge/whatever is surprisingly problematic.

Gamer0364's suggestion to use Photographer Mode to survey the area was a huge help and is practicaly a solution in and of itself. I didn't use it much for previewing combat areas. but I used it a bunch when platforming. Sometimes it's difficult to see whether your next move should be a scramble, grapple ax swing, rappel, etc. and Photographer Mode literally helps you get a better look before you leap.

Is it recommended to pick Path of the Serpent, Jaguar or Eagle before starting?
0
0
By tobiasvl on 17 Nov 2018 18:25
^No, but it is useful to choose one skill set where you do not already have all the perks, I believe you can just purchase the 3 extra skills in NG+ that come with the other two skill sets. This way you automatically get 3 perks if say you didn't have that category done and say you had another unlocked, then you can immediately purchase the others extra skills.

By Seitzz on 21 Nov 2018 23:33
I'd actually take the blue path though, you automatically get a perk that picks up extra insects, great because now one bug is one confusion arrow and more or less 2/3 free stealth kills.

Final battle isn't too tough if you have patience and take out the extra guards first. I really just dodged around the map to avoid arrows/Dominguez's attacks and took shots when I could. There are ammo crates around so don't be too conservative with it. If you have a straight shot at him, unload into him.

There is a checkpoint save upon reaching the final boss fight. There is also at least one that I can remember on the way to it. It is pretty deep into the mission. The final mission isn't nearly as punishing in Deadly Obsession as the first mission is.

So I finished easy 100% to get the overall feel of it, got all my weapons upgraded and about 95% of my skills, and all the outfits. I started new game plus deadly obsession difficulty and I don’t see any of my weapons carry over. My outfits carried over along with my skills. Do weapons carry over also or do I have to reaquire them all again? I’m at my crash site and only have my knife and bow.

You currently have all the bows and knives you had previously, including bow upgrades. When you get the pistol and rifle on your way into Kuwaq Yaku, you get all the pistols and rifles you acquired before, along with their upgrades and attachments. When you get the shotgun later on, you get all your shotguns.

I don't see why you couldn't, but if not, as long as you keep your easy game, you could always start a second NG+ off of it.

The only real difficulty I've seen is the occasional hook grabs not registering, and the final fight. I've got him to the last stage going on close to a dozen times now, and as I go to kill an add, he side swipes me. Since most his hits launch you, I've died every time to being thrown off the side. Just poor placement on my part every time, but watch out for this. Make sure you clear the adds on every segment before forcing the next section and this shouldn't be too hard....as long as you stay well away from ledges (if only I could heed my own advise)

Got this on my very next run after writing this. Particularly on the last 2 stages, where he's hell bent on chasing you, try to maintain a position on or right around the stairs of the center platform. I baited him up and down the stairs around each pillar, so I was well away from the edge of the map. Piece of cake.

The Cenote part is so frustating. This and the beginning are the worst areas so far. I don't have a problem with dying and going back to a campsite, but they are so far apart! On my first playthrough I died like 5 times in the initial flooding sequence. And in DO there are no campsites at all in México. It's not hard, it's punishing and with some glitchy ledges this mode is more frustrating than hard.

I keep getting this bug during the escape part of the cenote. I come out of the cut scene just after grabbing the box and the camera is not behind me. I immediately get grabbed, die and then sent back to do the whole thing over again. Horribly frustrating. Happened during my Rite of Passage playthrough also. Anyone have this happen?

It also saves when you travel from the Hidden city to the Riverbed area. In Cenote, the ambush is the hardest part. For the puzzle area, just keep your distance from the yaxiil and snipe them.

that cenote part is really frustrating, went through it all just to get killed by piranhas. and there is no way to shake those when they started attacking you, so annoying. cenote part is also the only one where camp fires are so far apart, it could have really benefited from a camp site in the puzzle room.

Cenote took me 2 tries. First death was a stupid one where she didn't grab a ledge in the running section. The oilfields gave me a little more trouble with 4 restarts learning how to be sneaky after being spoiled by poison arrows. Just gotta do the end now.

Final boss took several tries due to bowmen sniping me from behind stuff, but it feels good to be done. I wasn't nearly as bad as some comments made it sound.

My heart sank after finishing the library section only to have to escape another flood where I died. Almost shut my console off for the night when it put me back at the beginning of the chase and not the campfire. Not sure if this is an actual saved check point, but it definitely made things better.

Only just doing this mode now..finishing off a lockdown replay of all TR games. I enjoy the challenge of trying to get through the level without saving - but it is as frustrating as hell when you are close to the end and then, as someone else wrote, you miss a hand grab or jump that at any other time you can make with ease. The only thing I can't seem to ascertain is if it is enough just to play the game, or if I have to re-do all the crypts and tombs - (I was fully skilled up entirely at the end of my first play through and had collected everything) - so didn't have any incentive to do them a second time.

Just want to mention one very annoying part that caught me out, even on normal, so I was super glad I wasn’t on DO difficulty when I was first playing through the game.

It’s in the last area of the game, the City of the Serpent. There’s a section involving a craggy wall climb with a helicopter shooting at you. All the videos I watched show Lara moving from left to right and then up and it’s grand. There must have been a update sometime after this because now you need to constantly jump and move across this wall until you get to the wooden beams, or you will die and end up back before you start the point of no return.

I conpleted it yesterday. While not extremely difficult, the longer “story sequences” have no save points and often “run or die” type platforming sections. I would advise if you are concerned about having to restart to watch a quick preview of the level to make sure you dont miss any split second QTEs. Personally I did not believe that the difficulty was such that it warranted 2 playthroughs, I did it on my first and only walked away from frustration once at a axe rope glitching and killing me.

The checkpoint system in the mode is BS, a good example for me was the Cenote area. After solving the puzzle and getting the cut scene regarding the silver box I figured there must be a checkpoint right there if I died when trying to escape, but no I get screwed by the game randomly not registering ledge grabs and after dying and the game reloading I am back at the campsite before the ambush and have to redo the puzzle all over.

The combat wasn't all that bad, for the final boss I took out the enemies before destroying a pillar and set traps on their bodies which killed the next wave that spawned after destroying the next pillar. It also helped to use the special ammo on the boss as well as using focus plants and endurance plants

Just finished it today. Several horse-shit deaths almost made me quit playing but I persevered.

Check out TheSeraphim17's YT channel. He has an excellent walkthrough and provides good tips on some of the late game stealth sections and firefights that helped me out immensely. I improvised on a couple of occasions, but if you follow his gameplan, you'll have little trouble when you get to the oil field. USE THE PERCEPTION AND ENDURANCE PLANTS. It is absolutely imperative you have those skills maxed out, especially Perception so that you can detect enemies as well as plants/resources. It's like having Survival Instincts.

Make sure you have some of the right gear for the right sections. I always went with the boots that helped me regen health inbetween breaks in combat, and I used the vest that decreased melee damage taken when I went up against those monster looking fuckers in the temple, and for the Aztec warrior guys and the Trinity soldiers I used the vest that reduced damage from bullets and arrows. The shootouts are the easiest part of the game....its the environment and the dodgy traversal mechanics that are your worst enemies.

I get being difficult and all, but there's a difference between being "difficult and fair" (like Dark Souls), and "difficult and here's a middle finger from the devs."

There are too many little glitchy things that can go wrong in this game. It's ridiculous that you can go 3+ missions without a checkpoint. One mistake, ope, there goes 45 minutes because the stupid ass grapple hook didn't latch correctly.

Almost did this in an afternoon with new game+ it's actually pretty easy, don't do this difficulty on your first playthrough, do the one with the jungle first and upgrade all your weapons as much as you can. I recommend running and gunning the first half of the game, when the special enemies appear take it a bit stealthy.
You will hate some areas of the game on DO, especially one of the last few missions (the oil refinery stealth sections are a bitch if you get caught and killed). You can end up losing 30+ minutes of progress so be aware of that!

Yep, I'm working my way through the game on DO first attempt, not too horrible so far. Like others, most of my issues have been with grappling glitches or general mistakes in tombs. I'm rubbish at the combat, but tend to get through by stealthing as much as I can and then using healing items as needed.

I do kind of laugh at the people complaining about a lack of checkpoints in a difficulty that specifically does not offer any checkpoints (other than some sensible ones at the start of the game before there are any campfires).

The grenade launcher on the rifle melts the boss. However, you need to complete the Forge tomb from the DLC first. I was fully stocked on lure arrows and materials to make more. Before starting the final boss fight, I booby trapped all the dead NPCs and spread out all my lure traps all over the ground. I started the final sequence and hid. The final boss downed himself twice either from lure arrows or booby traps before I even fired one shot at him. Then I would simply use focus and endurance and shoot him twice with the grenade launcher and you can rush in to stab him. Rinse and repeat. Super easy.

The Iron Skull-esque factor is pretty cool. I jumped straight to this for testing the game. I haven't entered combat but have killed myself to the environment a clean dozen. A fun challenge, I'm sure, but learning there's NG+ has changed my approach, lol. Thanks for the info

Jeez, saying "the only difficulty you will encounter is the final boss" is just incorrect. The huge amount of time between some checkpoints is ridiculous and you can lose a load of progress to failing, which is epecially frustrating when the game screws you with bad camera angles and finicky grapple detection.
I'll give a particular middle finger to the LONG section in the cenote which caps off with a seemingly unskippable cutscene, a chase sequence and a series of climbing and jumps that can be really hard to get to register, especially the very final long jump.

My biggest tip is that for the jump and axe throw, you usually need to delay the throw a moment. Cenote was the biggest trouble spot for me due to length, not the final boss. Combat should be pretty easy if you are on NG+ because you can use good outfits and/or pop consumables. Just use the consumables! Also, unless you want a brutal challenge (due to checkpoint denial) do not ignore the advice to do two playthroughs. Especially now that there are seven DLC tombs that must be done through your campaign sidequests, you are going to be in for a terrible time having to redo content from the beginning every time you make a mistake. You will replay much more of the game trying to do one playthrough, ironic as that sounds.

That difficulty can be frustraiting so those are my tips to help to all who are starting now how to finish it easyly.
I found on my run 3 unofficial saves for which you don't need to use camps.
1st is At start after the town where you follow Dominges and before start ascend to the cave.
2nd one is also early after the cave and you clear all enemies and after you lose the knife where you start to run after apocalipse start.
3rd one is when you pass San Juan part and also start to run chased by the water.
My tips for last boss fight are - Use Mantle of six sky/take less damage from bullets and arrows/ and boots of the empress jaguar/Reduce noise from running/. You dont care about mellee fight when you engage last boss, so try to reduce damage from extra mobs which are shooting you. Also keep all your buffs up all the time helps alots. Never engage any enemy mellee- stelth or range. Always 1st clear enemies before goes to next pillar or taking boss down. He need 5 times to be stabbed before he dies. My weapons for that battles were - Puka HUk's bow , AB.45 , Vicar Mark II and Taev 16. Avoid edges enemies can kick you out of the edge. When you are alone with the boss and clear of extra enemies dont try to run and sneak behind him just unload your shotgun on him with focus on, 5/6 shots and he is entering into bubble.

One thing that really helped towards the end was the Fear Arrow cloud upgrade. It is from one of the DLCs and creates a fear cloud on impact. This can affect several people at once. The bugs to create it are pretty rare (although there is an NG+ eagle upgrade to harvest twice as much) so I held on them until the end where you have to go through a lot of soldiers on the oil field and San Juan. One fast arrow (just as the cutscene ends and before the soldiers spread out) can take out almost everyone in the area. I had the upgrade to make the effect longer. Usually I only had to kill one guy personally afterwards. It is crazy good. The other extremely good DLC "weapon" is the outfit for competing every single dlc tomb. It makes you near invulnerable if you dodge a lot in the end.
As for open battles and the boss I suggest using your highest damage guns simply because the ammo is limited and the more damage a bullet does the best value you get for the same ammo. For normal enemies though it is still the best to shoot their helmet then their head. Note that shotgun is very disappointing on DO, even the "naked" enemies need three shots most of the time and the final minions of the boss even more.
The lock-on headshot, the rope arrow kill from the tree, the counter kill on dodge and the double stealth execution is a must have.

For folks (like me) who are stuck on the boss battle, this video shows what seems to be a really straightforward way of winning it without too much trouble. As Vexxol wrote above, make sure you have plenty of health and focus and ammunition for all of your weapons. I noticed in the video that the player cleared out all of the roaming Eagle Warriors before breaking the first statue, and that he used different weapons at each stage--bow, then shotgun, then pistol, then assault rifle. I've also read that special ammunition is really powerful against the boss--you see the player in the video use flare rounds a few times, and even trip-mines a few enemies for added protection.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJChiAjfDcs

I still haven't completed this achievement but I think between Vexxol's original post and the video, I now have a chance of finishing the first 1,000 GS for this game.

What I liked about your videos was most the time your were low on ammo, and did not have many upgrades. Your aim wasn't great and you ran around in circles at times. So I thought if you can do it, so can I. When you watch someone doing everything perfectly to get an achievement you worry that there is no room for error.

On the Deadly Obsession difficulty, combat, exploration, and puzzles will all become increasingly challenging.

Combat

  • Enemies have increased health, do more damage, and locate Lara more quickly
  • No health regeneration in combat
  • Ammunition boxes are rare
  • No hit markers on the reticle
  • Enemies are not highlighted in Survival Instincts
  • No HUD icon when Lara is being detected by an enemy

Exploration

  • No white paint on critical path
  • Reduced saving grab timer
  • No Survival Instincts during exploration
  • Base camps are unlit and require resources to light
  • Game only saves at Base camps

Puzzles

  • No hints are given by Lara
  • No Survival Instincts
  • Shorter window of opportunity for timer mechanics

The Survival Instincts beacon (which highlights the next objective location) and glow (objects Lara can interact with) are also turned off by default on this difficulty setting.

While all of the difficulty-related achievements do in fact stack—you could hypothetically complete the entire game and obtain all of the achievements on a single playthrough if you start on Deadly Obsession—your Deadly Obsession playthrough should be saved for New Game+. Doing this will allow you to carry over any skills, gold, weapons, and upgrades from your previous playthrough, thus making things much more manageable.

In other words, your first playthrough should be on a lower difficulty (Smart and Resourceful or Rite of Passage) and you will want to obtain the "Dr. Croft" and "Completionist" achievement along the way. Also, you'll want to aim to unlock the Heart of the Jaguar, Scales of the Serpent, and Eye of the Eagle skills and each of their upgrades. Lastly, try to amass enough gold to purchase as many ammunition extension items in order to increase your ammo capacity.

Now that you have that first playthrough out of the way, you should do a New Game+ playthrough on Deadly Obsession.

While going through this playthrough, you should find the combat fairly manageable, especially with the use of the Endurance, Focus, and Perception abilities. The only truly difficult fight is the end-game boss fight, but if you come well-prepared with fully stocked resources before initiating the final story mission, you should manage quite fine.

Overall, it's not the combat you should be worried about on this difficulty; its the exploration and moving from Point A to Point B that can be problematic. Many of the traversal sections of the game can prove to be a burden due to finicky controls and lack of hints; one misstep and it's back to the last base camp you visited. As such, try to avoid unnecessary exploration; Challenge Tombs and Crypts should be ignored at all costs, but do take the time to loot trees for wood, which is necessary to build base camps, and bushes for plants, which are necessary to heal and craft herbal mixtures.

If, at any point during your playthrough, you get stuck on a story-related puzzles, please refer to THIS GUIDE, courtesy of PowerPyx.

There is a small life hack at the oil plant to save nerves and time. After saving at the fire, then there are locations with fighters, 2 in a row, we clear them and go up to the ledges, Jonah will call us, so after the conversation we turn around and run back to the fire to save, this will allow us not to listen to any more plot conversations and not kill again 2 bandit camps in case of a loss, and you can easily fail further by accident. (until the conversation with Jonah, only 1 camp remains cleared)

There are no checkpoints on this difficulty, and the autosave icon can be confusing.
It will be possible to save only in the camp using resources
I recommend completing the game on easy difficulty first, memorizing all the puzzles, enemies, terrain, etc. And after that, storm the fatal obsession.

Passed on this difficulty with NG+. All resources, weapons, upgrades, and so on were transferred from the last playthrough. helps a lot. On this difficulty you can easily run through the game in 7-9 hours.

If you stopped at a camp (that is, sat by the fire and are in the menu of skills and items), which costs 3 wood to build, do not rush to leave the game. First exit this menu to allow the saving to take place (circle with TR in the lower corner), and then exit. Otherwise you will have to redo the previous part. Maybe it's just me.

This was my first time at this difficulty level. Be sure to first upgrade the Gowler Speed skill, otherwise Lara will constantly break down when climbing. The second required skill is the Puma Feint; without it, the first skirmish with the underground aborigines will turn into a hellish ordeal.

Addition to the hint ProblemSPb - 12/28/2018

The way of the serpent.

Skills:

Serpent's Fury - Get a kill streak while there are two stunned enemies nearby.

Asp's Cunning - Decoy traps now detonate like firebombs and also attract multiple enemies.

Snake Evasion - Makes it more difficult for opponents to locate Lara after she hides again.

Beat the last boss in a suit with protection from arrows; before the battle in the secret city, stock up on supplies for treatment, insight, and ammunition. The battle strategy is to run, do not forget to get dirty in the mud, guards can be tied to a tree, killed from the back, killed by parrying.

If you start a New Game+, you can select additional skills:
Jaguar:
  • After each kill, damage resistance for a short time
  • Increases recovery time for knocked back and downed enemies
  • If you eliminate an enemy in full view of others, their shooting accuracy will be reduced for a short time.
Owl:
  • zooming in when aiming
  • increasing the range of the survival instinct and insight
  • collecting more resources from spiders and bugs.
Unfortunately, I don’t see a breakdown of the Snake’s additional skills yet, as not all skills in this branch are open.

But don’t make my mistakes, I chose Owl’s additional skills and they are stupid. Jaguar will be more useful in battles imo. It is in battles that there is a chance to die on hard.

The most difficult moment is the CENOT location, even the finale is easier, and all because of the clumsiness of the jumps. I couldn’t get through there 8 times for 20-25 minutes.
At the beginning, shoot the green barrels and blow up the natives with an explosion. Further, after the first running water wheel, the natives will start shooting - just jump into the water and swim below to the neighboring wheel (saving a few minutes). After escaping from the natives (jump very carefully - in the center of the edges everywhere) and as soon as you take the alpine crampons - on the 3rd stone when you are hanging from below ( before the long jump between the abyss ) - aim to the right when jumping , because Lara falls on the very corner and I fell 5 times. Well, right away, a little further on, there will also be a long jump - you don’t press the hook right away, but closer to the wall - otherwise you’ll fall and have to do it again for 25 minutes...

Addition to help, at the oil refinery there is an autosave point, after you go down the bridge down the bridge and jump on the walls, Lara falls in the story - this will be a save point, there is also an autosave in the corn field, after you kill everyone and the helicopter flies away it will start video, after it there will be a mudflow immediately, you can exhale, if Lara dies, the restart will be from the point where the wave started, and not from the temple.

With pumped up skills( + - aborigines on the easy side) there should be no problems in skirmishes (mine corpses very effectively, and arrows with poison to reduce the number of the enemy), except for the oil plant locations where if you fail from the very beginning of the map you start, and the next one is in the corn field. Ignore autosave. And it’s better, as they wrote above, to go through it first at a lower level in order to know what’s going where, and it will be easier to go through fatal obsession with the skills and resources.
