Sherlock Holmes: The Devil's Daughter

During the ‘Infamy’ case, your investigation will lead you to The Green Dragon Tavern. You decide that if you’re going to find out who it was that attempted to kill you, you must eavesdrop on what people are talking about. During one of the conversations in the common room, you overhear two people talking about how the attempt on your life failed. Then one man stands up, walks over to the bar, flashes a pass and is gained access to a door behind the bar.

After you have eavesdropped on all the conversations in the common room, you must find a way to access the door behind the bar. After a few moments, the man emerges from the door and talks to the bartender. Make your way into the vestibule to eavesdrop on their conversation. When it is over, the man walks outside. Now’s your chance to steal his pass! After you have pickpocketed him, return inside, go to the end of the bar and flash the pass. You will be granted access.

Walk up the stairs and the game will focus on a man carrying a briefcase walking through a door. Try to follow him and you will be denied. Enter the door to the left of the guard and enter the gambling room. There is a door on the far side of the room which leads outside but is guarded. Next to the door is a window which leads to where you wish to go. You must find a way to cause a distraction so he leaves his post, leaving the door unguarded.

Look at the men at the tables to determine how you will cause your distraction. Use your imagination mode () and walk around the room to determine the order of events for the distraction:

• Divert attention
• Take knife
• Cut rope
• Fight starts
• Guard moves

After you’ve assigned a number to each event, press to watch how the sequence would unfold. When you are satisfied, press again to build the sequence and set it in motion. Watch the cutscene which will lead you out of the door, unlocking the achievement.
