How to unlock the Barricaded achievement in Slay The Spire - Definitive Guide
You can easily get this if you get Barricade early and face off against a non-scaling (doesn't gain strength enemy). Just don't attack and keep Defending after using Barricade.
I got Barricade off the bat using a Transform when selecting my starting prize. Then faced a couple enemies and narrowed it down to a Louse on like the third fight. Took about 5 minutes to build up.
Barricade + Entrench and small deck can get you to 999 in no time as well.
Not sure if we can link but here is a decent guide for this game: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=14603...

I got to 999 armor with The Watcher (using Rushdown, Eruption, and the starting calm card + Violet Lotus). I did NOT get the achievement. I am not sure why. I also used Mental Fortress (armor upon stance change), which seemed to be causing severe performance issues (it crashed the game twice), so perhaps that's why. Would be interested to hear if anyone else gets it with a character other than Ironclad -- I worry the achievement might be tied to him specifically.

Got to 999 block with The Defect multiple times, but the achievement never unlocked. Also experienced performance issues way before hitting 999 block, and in the end I couldn't even kill the final boss because the game instantly freezes.

Xbox Achievements: Barricaded; Focused
Character used: The Defect (see other Solutions for the other two Character's relative information)
Ascension Level played: 2 (can be any, but the lower, the easier the getting started)
Mandatory preparation (Card required): Creative AI(+) (At the start of each turn, add a random Power Card to your hand.); Coolheaded(+) (Channel 1 Frost. Draw 1 card), or to get Frost from alternative sources instead. Relatively, upgrades are not very important.
Most effective/notable ease of use preparation examples: Defragment(+) (Gain 1 Focus); Fusion(+) (Channel 1 Plasma), or to get Plasma from alternative sources. Relatively, upgrades are not very important. Without the aid of Plasma, Energy resources may often not suffice, relatively. Base Energy of 4+, is advisable.
Battle choice: Best when encountering not (a) very powerful Enemy/Enemies. If only one Enemy is present, it is time to perform powering up by playing relative strategy.
Strategy, step-1: Focus on playing Creative AI(+). Once it was played, several Power Cards come into play, eventually. Without detailing why (you may come to understand why), do not play the following Power Cards until relative success: Hello World; Storm; Static Discharge; Biased Cognition; Electrodynamics.
Strategy, step-2: Channel Frost/Plasma in order to fill Orb Slots, effectively correct. Relatively, frost has priority over Plasma. If Power Card, Capacitor (Gain 2 Orb slots.) comes up, play it as often required until you have ten Orb Slots. Also play (again/always) the following generated Power Cards in strategically effective successions: Echo Form; Defragment; Loop; Creative AI; Machine Learning; Capacitor; Heatsinks; Buffer. Echo Form (The first card you play each turn is played twice.) has currently (one/two time(s)) a higher priority than Defragment. Generally, effectively for now, the highest priority gets Defragment, in order to accumulate Focus in a safe and progressive way. Playing, Loop (At the start of your turn, trigger the passive ability of your next Orb.) is always relatively effective. Playing, Creative AI more than ten perfectly effective times is slightly lesser useful, but generated Power Cards granted to Hand at Full Hand, are put into Discard Pile. Machine Learning (At the start of your turn, draw 1 additional card.) gets lesser relevant, once Starting Hand got full (ten Cards). Then, Heatsinks (Whenever you play a card, draw 1 card.) gets a higher priority than Machine Learning, eventually. Once, Capacitor's effectiveness gets to null, its priority becomes the least. Buffer (Prevent the next time you would lose HP.) can be usefully contributing in the beginning only. In order to make greatest of relative progress, playing these Cards is always useful, at least to minimize the number of Cards in rotation, to optimize relevant Cards' accessibility.
Strategy, step-3: Once your Focus (Increases the effectiveness of Orbs by #.) is at 21 (or 17), the next opportunity a Biased Cognition turns up, realize it by playing it (most certainly by now it might be played twice, hence only 17 Focus as a safety prerequisite required). The task for Focused was fulfilled. From now on, Biased Cognition gets the highest priority.
Strategy, step-4:
Try to have eight or nine Frost, while having one or two Plasma. Your next Orb must be/become a Frost, in order to have/get this kind of Orb's Passive (At the end of turn, gain # Block.) effect active. As you keep playing Power Cards based on the updated priorities, the task for Barricaded will be fulfilled incredibly soon.
Error note: Soon after the relative Xbox Achievements have been unlocked, the software's runtime came to an halt. Therefore, progress of relative Battle was not saved, and in turn, Overall Statistics have not been updated relatively. There, under Achievements, the relative entries are under the locked status still. But in order to fulfill the task for, Eternal One (Obtain all other Achievements), Overall Statistics require to get/have all the Achievements' entries under the cleared status. If that occurs, eventually play by the learned strategy again, and fulfill the tasks again.

It’s easy to do as a plate bearer with the help of Barricade cards (defense no longer disappears after a turn) and preferably at least 2 Entrench+ (doubles defense). As soon as we have collected the necessary ones, in any battle (preferably with one opponent, I did it on the boss Champion from the second act) we activate Barricade as quickly as possible and begin to accumulate protection with any cards, doubling it with Dig In cards. The most difficult thing is to get to a hundred, since the enemy can knock down a decent part with blows, and then it’s just a matter of technique.

Made for a defect
You definitely need a manipulator (the relic adds 1 slot for spheres every 2 turns) and absorption (the card gives 2 focuses and takes away 1 slot for spheres) you also need cards for ice spheres
And now, when we start the battle, we press absorption and ice spheres, wait two turns and get 1 slot
We do this until we get 999 protection
We will also make a trophy for 25 focus in one battle

Can be done simultaneously with the focused achievement. At the beginning of the game on light mobs, you need to get a creative card + a card that gives freezing. Over time, you will receive many talents and wait for the necessary cards. The main thing is not to kill the enemy with starting lightning
Increasing the number of slots for spheres. We fill them with freezing.
We use talents for double use of the first card in a turn.
Map to increase focus.
A card for activating the passive of the first slot for spheres.
By the time I got the focus achievement, my armor was 700. We continue to get the second armor achievement
