How to unlock the Metal Master achievement in SONIC FREE RIDERS - Definitive Guide
For this achievement you have to finish Metal City Standard under 3:15 in time attack mode. Make use of the gear part "Speed" to get this.
I think it's the hardest standard course. You have to perform a very high jump at the end in every round.
For instruction I made a video. Enjoy and good luck!

Here's a few tips to help you:
1. Use the Potential Board with Max Speed and Grind gear part (not sure if it is called something different in the European version).
2. You HAVE to make the jump after the curve toward the end to get this, in order to do that, you need to have some boost.
i. The best way to get boost is the grinding part at the beginning (stick to the right). After landing the jump right at the end of the level, use all your boost to get to the grind, then your boost will replenish.
ii. After you leave the grind, you will experience a small fall, you can boost once to keep momentum, but keep the rest of the boost for the end jump (you will notice your boost decrease over time, you don't want to run out or you won't make the last jump). Alternatively, you can jump the gap and keep your momentum (I had trouble with the timing, so the other way worked for me).
iii. Note that the amount of boost you have increases if you collect more coins, this automatically increases your boost to max as well. If you do get this extra bump, I would advise using one boost straight after grinding and a little after that use the boost after the fall. Then try and get the boost pads on the ground.
I got about 3:11 doing this method.
Edit: Just an extra note, usually when grinding I kept my hands out (kind of like the flying) to keep balance, but for some reason on this level this didn't work. Instead I kept my arms out and tried to lean into the grind to keep balance.
Also, I noticed that some characters are more responsive than others to me personally. For some reason Tails works better for me than Sonic, so maybe trying different characters helps (I got almost all the time achievements using Tails so far, still working on the expert courses).
