How to unlock the Solution Sleuth achievement in Stacking - Definitive Guide

Here are the solutions for all of the Royal Train Station Challenges. You must first beat both the ship and blimp levels so you unlock more dolls for use.

Challenge 1 Empty The Lounge
Fan-tastic: Use Clerk-Of-The-Works Jasper (The doll with the wrench) and use his ability on the fan outside the lounge. Then enter and talk to the server.

Unauthorized entry: First gain control of Key Master Dawson (the doll with the key on his head) and then control The Widow Chastity (The blonde female doll outside the lounge) Seduce the guard at the entrance and then use the Key doll to open the entrance. Then talk to the server.

The Fug of War: Do the same thing as unauthorized entry but also control Meriwether Malodor (the doll that has gas problems) Enter the lounge as Meriwether and use his ability in the room.

Challenge 2 Sort the Lines
Line Assembly Production: Simply use Charlie's stacking ability to move the dolls in straight lines. Put the smallest dolls in the very leftmost lane. Put the medium dolls to the right of the smallest dolls, and finally the largest dolls to the right of the medium dolls. When the line is formed correctly you will see the ticket sign light up. Also make sure that when you line up the dolls you start the line in the very first square in each lane.

Gust of Order: Once again gain control of Meriwether Malodor and use his ability to disperse the ticket line. Then gain control of Strike Leader Chesley. Use his ability and the dolls will automatically get in line.

Uppercut Shuffle: This is by far the easiest to accomplish. Simply control the Uppercut doll and use his ability on everyone in the line. They will automatically start lining up properly.

Challenge 3 Wind the Clock
All the dolls that are needed for this challenge are all at the beginning of the train station area.

A clockwork pelican: Gain control of a pelican doll and fly up to the gears showed in the cut-scene. Then use Charlie to wind up the clock.

A Gentleman's Solution: In the circular area of the train station there should be pictures of blimps on the walls. On one of the walls is a small entrance Charlie to enter a hidden room. There should be a lever for you to open up a door. As soon as you exit the door there should be a group of 3 dolls to your right. Gain control of the doll that has the hand shake ability. Go back into the hidden room and shake the white hand that is sticking out of the wall.

Wind Under Your Wings: For this challenge you will need to gain control of the Balloon Doll and Engineer Cross (The conductor with the striped hat) Engineer Cross is next to the blimp train and the Balloon doll should be in the circular portion of the train station entrance. Once you have control of both dolls head towards the hole in the wall used in A Gentleman's Solution. You should notice two golden fans above the hole. Place Engineer Cross in the middle of the two fans and use his ability. While Engineer Cross is blowing hot air use the balloon doll's ability to fly up to the winding gear. Finally, use Charlie's stacking ability to again wind the clock gear.

After all of this you should have the Solution Sleuth Achievement.

Cool solution.

Some additional details/methods I can add for my playthrough.

Unauthorized entry: Can be accomplished without the keymaster. Since the guard will leave his back exposed after following Widow Chastity, you can stack the guard and use his ability to open the door.

The Fug of War: You don't even have to enter the room with Meriweather (which is important, since that means you can do this before the other solutions if you want). The fan vent provides easy access for a room clearing blast... ;>

A clockwork pelican: Important detail on this one is that the pelican can only go to a gear with a nest next to it. The pelican (when I saw him) is actually almost right under it. But to be exact, facing the train platforms, the nest would be at the right entryway.

Wind Under Your Wings: You may want to add "unstack" to make clear that you can have Balloon Doll come out while Engineer Cross is blowing hot air. ;) This "combo" ability will be formally introduced in the Triple Decker Train level. But players would encounter this puzzle before that level so may not understand. I had been lucky in my experimentation and wondered why this combo ability wasn't mentioned. ;p

Oh, extra TIP to everyone! Talk to the dolls around each puzzle. They will usually give you hints without you having to expressly ask for them in the menus or come to the solutions lists here. ;p (That's how I got the idea for Balloon and Cross.)

There are 3 challenges in the Royal Train Stations, with one available from the beginning, and 2 more after progressing further into the game. The puzzles and solutions are as follows:

Empty the Lounge (Available Immediately):

Solution 1: Use the mechanic near the outside of the club to open up the fan vent. Walk in through the vent and talk to the lounge host.

Solution 2: Stack into the Widow Chastity, who should be waltzing around the area outside. Walk over to the door gaurd and Seduce him. While he is enticed, unstack from the Widow and stack into him. Now take him to the lounge door and open it. Then enter the lounge through the wide open door and talk to the host.

Solution 3: This is perhaps the most elegant of the 3 solutions. Stack into Meriwether Malodor (The bald guy in white running around farting everywhere). One you are stacked into him, take him to the fan and let loose a righteous gas of justice through the vents and gas everyone out of the lounge.

Sort the Lines (Available after Gilded Steamship)

Solution 1: Simply stack into each of the dolls and arrange them into the correct lines. 3rd (middle) line for the biggest 2 dolls, 2nd and 4th lines for the medium sized dolls, and 1st and 5th lines for the small dolls.

Solution 2: Stack into Meriwether (Farting guy) and use Flatulate to get everyone out of the way. Now stack into the Strike Leader and use assemble to call everyone back. They should arrange themselves now.

Solution 3: Stack into one of the Uppercut dolls and use the Proper Uppercut ability on them all. This will make them move into the correct spots.

Wind the Clock (Available after the Zeppelin)

Solution 1: Stack into the pelican and use it to fly up to its nest. Then unstack and use the little lever nearby.

Solution 2: Crawl through the little hole in the wall near the closed door. Once inside use the Door Override controls to open the door. Then stack into one of the "Firm Handshack" gentlemen and walk through the door to the hand shaped level on the wall. Give it a good firm handshake.

Solution 3: Stack into one of the balloon boys, then into Engineer Cross. Walk over to the fans, near the hole in the wall you used earlier. Use blow lid, then unstack back to the balloon boy and use fly to station. This should lift you up near another set of controls. Unstack again and use them.

Challenges are really easy in this game, especially with the hint system. Hint 3 tells you everything you need to know. There is no achievement for using no hints so you might as well abuse this feature if you're not sure how to complete a challenge or can't figure out any other solution. Hints refresh each time you complete a challenge, so when you use a hint again, it'll be telling you how to do the challenge with a different solution.

To use hints press at the Challenges section when you highlight the challenge you want to do. You'll have to wait several seconds between using hints.

This puzzle has only 3 solutions:

1- We find a nesting doll with a clawed fart near the toilets, we climb into it( ), we go to the fan at the door and fart there ( ).

2- Find a girl with a fan, climb into her( ), we seduce the guard ( ) and while he is dragging himself away from the girl we jump out ( ) and transfer to it ( ). Open the door( ).

3- We are looking for a mechanic’s nesting doll (it should be next to the door with a wrench), climb into it( ) and unscrew the fan at the door ( ). We go through the ventilation into the club and talk to the waiter( ).

All 3 paths lead to people running out of the club.

The second time you will get to the station after a mission on the ship and the task will be to give the judge a VIP ticket for the train, for this you need to organize the crowd into ticket offices:

1. The easiest way is to sit in each nesting doll that stands in front of the cash registers ( ) and put it according to the height of the ticket seller at the box office, after which we jump out of it ( ).

2. Take a boxer and punch everyone in the face in the queue ( ), until they line up correctly.

3. We are looking for a fart (a man in white, very similar to the cartoon character Aqua Team Hunger Force), we come and fart on the crowd ( ) and immediately change into a trade unionist (one-eyed man waving flags) and begin to organize the crowd with flags ( ).

3 hit the station after the Zepelin level and now you need to start the clock.

1. We run through the hole in the wall and start the door opening mechanism ( ). We go out and look for a man who is shaking his hand, we go back and shake the hand that is sticking out of the wall ( ).

2. We take the guy with the balls and find the driver who is letting off steam from his head. We stand under the propellers and let off steam from our heads ( ) jump out of the nesting doll ( ) and press to take off. We sit in the mechanism ( ) and start the clock ( ).

3. A pelican is running in the center of the hall, jump into it ( ) and fly to the nest ( ). We sit in the mechanism ( ) and start the clock ( ).
