How to unlock the Guilty Spark achievement in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition - Definitive Guide
Wave 1 AFK Boosting
The first wave takes 4 minutes including loading times (based on XboxX)
You must pass 343 waves. I would not worry about this until after you are finished the rest of the DLC. I was at 48% when I completed all other achievements in this DLC.
When you are ready (you must have the explosive mines), you can do the following.
1. Start Daybreak
2. At Weapons selection, press the then select mines.
3. Start game. Hold to bypass cinematic.
4. Drop both sets of mines close to the tech but apart from each other.
5. Rebuild fence.
6. Talk to tech and start waves.
7. Drop the controller and go do something more interesting. Return in 2-6 minutes.
At first I was restarting immediately after wave 1 because i was sitting nearby. Then I started leaving it and I found my AI allies and mines can sometimes complete 2 waves and the game is easier to restart after failing. They even completed wave 3 on occasion - Good job Red Talon!!!

This may not be the quickest but is by far the best mindless way to reach the endpoint. AFK after minefields set up and stand by the pillar in the middle and you'll survive 2 waves easily.

So annoying

If you're going for completion of the DLC, you should not sink any time into grinding this achievement until you have completed all of the following achievements:
PLUS, you should have enough victories to have unlocked the CLEO heavy sniper rifle in the State of Decay 2 story mode, so that you can unlock:
Once you have done all of the above, you'll either have already earned this achievement or you are ready to grind it out the rest of the way. Do so by repeatedly starting a new game, completing either one or two waves, quitting to the main menu, and then starting a new game. You can complete a wave every four minutes this way. This is how it breaks down:
Wave 1 - almost 2 minutes of menus, setup, loading screens, talking, etc. followed by a 2-minute wave of zombies.
Wave 2 - 1 minute of intermission followed by a 3-minute wave of zombies.
It is up to you whether you grind out 1-wave or 2-wave games. The 1-wave games might go slightly quicker than 4 minutes, like maybe 3:50 or 3:45 minimum, so for ultimate efficiency, there is a little bit of an edge to doing it that way. (Note that you will actually have to fight. Unfortunately, if you repair the wall at the beginning of Wave 1 and then go AFC, the zombies are going to break through. Between them and the feral, your technician may not survive.) Then again, some players may find finishing Wave 2 before restarting to be a little more enjoyable.
It takes another 6 minutes to complete Wave 3, which is inefficient.
Each percentage point on the progress indicator equals 3.43 waves, so at 4 minutes per wave, you're looking at about 13.7 minutes per percentage point. That equals 2 hours, 17 minutes for every 10 percentage points.
The Forgot My Breaches achievement in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition worth 64 pointsAchieve victory in a session of Daybreak without any wall sections being leveled.
The The Moral High Ground is Mine achievement in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition worth 80 pointsReach the fourth wave in a session of Daybreak without any player using guns.
The Conservation of Splatter achievement in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition worth 63 pointsReach the fifth wave in a session of Daybreak without any player using explosives.
The Flawless Victory achievement in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition worth 44 pointsAchieve victory in a session of Daybreak without suffering any player deaths.
The Hoard Mode achievement in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition worth 120 pointsAchieve victory in a session of Daybreak after collecting 25 CLEO drops.
The I Was All By Myself achievement in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition worth 93 pointsReach the sixth wave in a session of Daybreak in single player.
PLUS, you should have enough victories to have unlocked the CLEO heavy sniper rifle in the State of Decay 2 story mode, so that you can unlock:
The Shut Up achievement in State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition worth 52 pointsKill a screamer with a CLEO heavy sniper rifle.

I was up around 45% tracker progress on this through natural play, going for unlocks and prestige and what not. The juggernaut update dropped and shortly afterwards my progress
bar emptied itself. Doesnt appear to be tracking this one for me anymore. I've yet to try a box restart. Posting in this here in case mine is not an isolated occurrence.
*edit* nevermind my xbox tracker sprang back to life after completing a daybreak session

yeah thats how the tracker works now. You have to either succeed or fail in order for it to update the tracker.

This isn't so much a guide as it is an observation I made while grinding this achievement out the past two days.
I've noticed that every now and then immediately upon starting the match, and you're able to control your character, if you run straight to the Technician you can speak to him to start the match right away, essentially skipping all of their dialogue.
I did the math as I was sitting there waiting for the round to end and figured out that at around 30 seconds per instance of dialogue multiplied by 343 rounds (if starting from scratch, I know most of us are not) that it works out to 2.85 hours that can be saved if this skip could be figured out.
As of now it happens totally randomly. I had a few theories, but nothing concrete. So consider this a call to arms haha. If anyone can help figure this skip out, the whole SoD community on TA would appreciate it.
If you choose to vote this down, I understand why. But I hope you understand all I am trying to do is help. And I am confident all of us would be happy shaving off anywhere from an hour or two on this monotonous achievement, haha.
Happy hunting.
