How to unlock the Chaos in the Robot Factory achievement in Sunset Overdrive - Definitive Guide
Hello internet
edit
This was my first guide if you downvote please let me know why so I can try to improve myself. I want to thank the people who supported with my first solution. Because of you people i made a bunch more and did my first review.
This achievement can be pretty easy with a decent team. A group of 4-5 people is at least needed but i think it would be challenging with anyhing less than 6-7 people.
Have the team generally vote for the highest chaos missions as is done with the other chaos achievements but it is not critical if you miss one. I advice avoiding the mission of collecting the points if possible, this mission becomes a bit unfair in the last round when you have to collect over 2000 points in less than 40 seconds, unless you and your team is feeling brave I would advice against choosing this mission.
One failed mission equals a score lower than 2300 chaos so if you doubt your teams performance try to convince them to vote for the easier missions.
Even if not all the highest chaos missions are chosen your team will most likely reach the 2300 chaos(i havent experienced one time i didnt make the 2300 with no failed missions).
The night defence in this chaos squad mission is more challenging than the other chaos squad missions, but it is pretty doable if you have a decent team.
Use explosive weapons like the hairspray bomb and AOE weapons like the acid sprinkler for massive kills in this chaos squad.
There are three vats to defend and there are multiple entrances. Have people defend the gates properly by using the grinding lines and the stair case in the middle of the map. These lines and the staircase have an excellent central position. From these points all the entrances can be defended.
In the later waves wingers will spawn, enough to make your life a living hell. The fire beams are the real problem with the wingers dodge these beams by switching paths allot. Also ignore the wingers as they seem immune for everything but freezing. use your radar to keep track of and avoid the wingers.
If people pay attention to vats being attacked and use heavy weaponry then the night defence shouldnt be a huge problem.
I have also experienced a bug in the game where your controller will go rampage by vibrating the triggers also the sound dissappears for a few seconds. I have heard of other people who experienced the same problem. This usually happened when the amount of OD was immense.
Edit
This achievement was fixed some time ago. If you have completed it before that time the achievement should have unlocked by now. If you still experience problems with unlocking the achievement after you did meet the requirements please post it down here below.

This map seems to be heavily glitched atm, it's put us in the last section where you defend the vats 3-4 times now, where it's impossible to start the whole thing because the valve is not there. Neither are the barricades. So there's nothing you can do to start it, so you have to leave and go back to campaign.
And the 2 times we got to the end where everything was correct, the valves and barricades were there, the server would crash soon after.
OK, after another try, think I found the connection. If enemies spawn, and then either disappear or look like they fell through the map and die on their own, then its most likely the valve and barricades will not appear at the end, and the game will be soft locked.
Overall we tried about 10 or so games, with 4-5 times the valve not appearing, 2 times where it did, but then the server crashed right after, along with a couple time where we just failed because we got one of the harder games that are timed.

Stuck Done Unlocking here also. I am not sure insomniac has any weight on fixing a stuck achievement. Not even a Microsoft high level support will help with it. They usually force you to let it runs its course. I've had them stuck for 70 days. Its really a sad situation, because XBOX live developers cannot get basic things to function.
I have literally replayed it, and replayed it, but it will not pop. Perhaps when I did it initially, my chaos % was too high to get beaten again, so it doesn't think its a requirement to try to send for unlock verification again. I was around 2899% or something like that ( very high % ) when I got the done unlocking. I have 10 or so rounds and have never been able to get that original amount of chaos % again.
I even read, that this DLC had a side effect, that forced the MOOIL Rig DLC to have 1 less chaos mission in it, which renders meeting the % requirement impossible. But thats another issue.

Doing Chaos Squad with 2 people.
Nobody is playing this game now, and I am too lazy to go find a group. Me and a friend decided to tackle all Chaos Squad as two people and we have been successful. You have to set your Chaos Squad to private, invite the second person and then search. After a few moments it will put just you two into a game.
With only two people you have to be at the top of your game. You both will need all of your guns at level 5, and your other amps as maxed as you can make them.
The Guns we used were:
Hairspray Bomb w/ Second Amendment
Acid Sprinkler w/ Winter is Coming
Taunt Bot
Pulse Mine
Rager (Rager is better than Plague Bomb because Rage stops them from attacking the Vat. Plague does not.)
Swarming Nanobots
Freeze Bomb
Shield Buddy
You can use whatever amps you feel like, I never noticed too big of a difference except with freeze in the Acid Sprinkler. That is a must and will save your life.
For the personal Overdrives I would use OD Killer, OD Rival, OD Less Damage, Health upgrade, Deployable Ammo, and Single Shot Ammo. Damage on your guns is not terribly important because things are going to die anyway, you need sustained survivability and enough ammo to get through.
Always vote for the highest Chaos Squad in each mission. Generally if you vote that way you will reach the Chaos Squad goal. No matter what avoid Scavenger Scramble. The points one is unwinnable with two people. You really want the game to give you more Vat Capacity but you don't really have a lot of control over that.
The Night Defense has 5 waves. The first 4 waves have set waves of enemies. Once you defeat all the enemies the wave ends. The 5th wave is times. There is still a set number of enemies but it does not end until the timer is up. Even if you kill all the OD you can still lose if you get killed by Wingers. Speaking of Wingers, ignore them. Wingers, Herkers, and any other special OD. They will not attack the vat, so they do not matter. They will attack walls and traps, but the only thing that matters is killing the normal OD. This does make things difficult in later waves when there are a ton of Wingers around ruining your ability to grind, but you have to adapt and endure. With two people you can't focus on killing wingers and OD, and you gotta kill OD.
For each Night Defense I would put an Acid Sprinkler, Taunt Bot, and Pulse Mine in front of the gate. Then I would use Hairspray Bomb to attack. In the later waves when there is just too much going on I would focus on whats around the vat using Rage on large groups of OD. Acid Sprinklers around the Vat is a life saver.
For Traps I generally only used Senior Freeze. I would put them around the vat or in the path of the OD if the OD always followed a set path. Once there are a ton of Herkers and Wingers the traps get destroyed too fast. I would just put down a machine gun turret to help.
Robot Factory Specific
You only fight robots in all of the missions up to he Night Defense. Switch your Overdrives to damage against Robots instead of OD. Make sure you bring the Fizzco Rifle.
There are 6 different missions that you can get, but only 3 of them are doable with 2 people.
Avoid: Get to tha Choppa!, Ballz to tha Wall, and Scavenger Scramble.
You can do: Sasquatch Rescue, Bubble Trouble, and Fizzie Strikes Again.
Sasquatch Rescue: this is a long mission. Using Acid Sprinkler will help damage the towers. Make sure to use taunt bots to distract the robots while you shoot. If one person dies make sure the second person runs away until the dead person comes back. because if both of you die you fail the mission. Shield Buddy was very helpful when things got hectic.
Bubble Trouble: taunt bots got a long way to keep you alive. Throw a couple down and the robots basically ignore you.
Fizzie Strikes Again: I really didn't want to have to do a Fizzie fight. It takes so long. There are a ton of bounce pads. They highlight in specific patterns, but the patterns are random. They way we would do it is one of us would get on top of the two floating platforms over the bridge. The other person would bounce on the far left olatform. The two patterns involving those platforms are always the same. When the left platform drops down it highlights. Then one platform on the far left and one platform in the middle highlight. When the right platform drops down it highlights. One platform in the middle and one platform on the far right would highlight. Would would ignore all the other patterns and wait for one of those. To dodge Fizzie we would just use the Shield Buddy.
Once you bounce on all 3 platforms Fizzie gets stunned and you can shoot his eyes. After two rounds (or one really good round) robots will spawn. They are just one wave so stop and take them out. After two more rounds of Fizzie damage he will shoot out ballons. You can ignore the ballons. They damage you, but not enough to matter. If you are using shield they won't damage you. After more damage another wave of robots. It's just one wave so stop and take them out. After about two more rounds you will see a disco ball in the middle of Fizzie's head. You know it's time to attack it when it can be highlighted by holding Left Trigger. You will know you are hitting it when you see "blam" come off the disco ball. At this point an unlimited wave of robots will spawn. One person will need to focus on the robots using taunt bots, nano machines, hairspray bomb, and Fizzco Rifle. The second person needs to focus on killing Fizzie. You can only shoot the disco ball when he is trying to shoot you with his laser beam eyes. When he spits out the ballons you can't shoot the disco ball. I was on Fizzie duty so whole he is doing ballons I would charge shield buddy. Once he got done I would pop shield buddy and then shoot the disco ball while he tried to shoot me. I would use a single shot like the Fizzco Rifle or the Dirty Hairy. After enough shots he dies. You just gotta play smart while avoiding getting killed by the robots.
Night Defense
This night defense looks intimidating in the beginning, but is actually very straight forward. There are 3 vats. One is on a bridge in front of the big building. The other two are to the left and the right of the building. There are 3 gates that the OD come from. One under the bridge in the middle and two from the sides.
OD will attack all 3 gates at the same time, but they don't attack with very many OD. The secret that makes this made manageable is that when the OD break the gates on the left and right they do not run toward the left or right vats. Instead they all run to the middle. Then run up the middle and then branch out. As long as you control the middle you can win the match.
At the start we would spread out. I focused on the left gate, my friend focused on the right gate and we both checked on the middle. First wave was free. Second wave a gate would break but it was fine. Same with the third. Forth wave brought on the hurkers, and Wingers. That made things tougher to manuver around but the OD still ran up the middle so we could control it. The 5th wave is where everything falls apart. Both players have to igore the left and right gates and only focus on the middle. You have to really use Shield Buddy and Deployables to control the middle. If one person dies the other person had to focus on staying alive. I used a lot of freeze gun and rage to control the crowds.
The game will say, "your vat is being attack" a lot because the gate is right under the vat. It takes a while for an OD to even get to your vat so you can ignore it most of the time. If an OD does get through only one of you can go kill it because by wave 5 there is a ton of hurkers and Wingers around that middle vat. If you both go after it you both can did. Shield up and go in. Maybe drop a machine gun turret.
The biggest issues with this night defense is staying alive. If you focus on the middle the OD will almost never get to a vat.

To unlock this achievement you will need to gain at least 2,300 Chaos while playing in the new location 'Fizzco Robotics.'
This is exactly the same deal as before, you choose one of two missions by voting for them and you should always choose the mission that offers the most Chaos. Failure to complete any of the missions will leave you without enough total Chaos for the achievement, as well as failing the final night defense will void the achievement, regardless of how much Chaos you earned.
If you would like people to attempt this with, please consult the achievement boosting thread, found Here.
