How to unlock the Dead or alive, you're coming with me! achievement in Tango Fiesta - Definitive Guide
This achievement isn't difficult, but it certainly is tedious.
The hardest part of the achievement is that there doesn't seem to be a good way to track how many kills you racked up in-game.
This achievement can be unlocked by replaying levels in the Story Mode.
Obviously, the achievement has to be completed with the Bionic Cop character.
It can be completed with any loadout, but I used the 12 gauge shotgun as my primary weapon, with an Arius A1 as secondary and grenades.
(EDIT: March 5th, 2019 - After playing the game a little more, I'd recommend unlocking and using the "Manuel" Robocop style pistol to rack up kills rather than the shotgun. Its stats look mediocre in the gun shop, but it shoots a 10-round burst fire spread each time and shreds low health enemies much faster)
I initially tried this achievement on Stage 1-1, but since levels are procedurally generated, it spawned the bulky invisible enemies that take forever to kill along with the standard enemies, so I subsequently tried again on Stage 1-2, Sea Shell 2 - Hellish and was successful as this time the level only contained the standard low health enemies.
There is really no particular strategy to racking up the 1987 kills needed. The key is to stay alive, so I continually sought out enemies with a Health Kit bubble over their heads and tried to never let my health drop below 2/3. Large packs of enemies can be dispatched with by using grenades, but you are limited to carrying 3 at a time, so you will also have to continually seek out enemies with bubbles showing ammo boxes.
I found the most success at restocking health and ammo/grenades by lobbing a grenade at a large group of enemies to make the pickups spawn. It's also helpful to learn the large enemy spawn points in your generated level, so you can use a grenade to get the pickups again and again and help to build your kill count.
It's also important to stay away from the objectives while you are racking up kills, since even stray grenades far from the destructible objectives can count as quite a bit of damage to them.
Since you have no way of knowing your kill count, I estimate this total took about 60-90 minutes to accumulate. The achievement will pop as soon as you've accumulated 1987 consecutive kills without a death. You do not have to complete the level.
The game also suffers major performance issues as you accumulate kills since the blood splatters from fallen enemies remain on the screen permanently and made the game start to run very slowly on my original release Xbox One as the stains build up into the thousands. I got so bored and the game was running so poorly that I ended up blowing up the two objectives after my solo score passed 400,000. But unfortunately on the summary screen, I had only reached 1833 kills. I would estimate that a solo score of between 450,000 and 500,000 is likely a good benchmark for 1987 individual kills.
Interestingly, the 1987 consecutive kills with Bionic Cop without dying don't have to be on the same stage. After being disappointed that I quit the stage with only 1833 kills, I tried to proceed to the next mission, only to have the game crash.
I rebooted the game right away, reselected Bionic Cop and reentered Stage 1-2, where the achievement popped right away after I picked up another 150 kills or so without dying (and the fresh stage ran a heck of a lot better without 1800 bloodstains slowing it down)

All you need to do is simply select Bionic Cop as your character on the Bionic Cop map and defeat a total of 1987 enemies without dying. There is no kill counter in the game, so we kill until we get the trophy. As soon as there are exactly 1987 enemies killed, the trophy will drop. This action took me about an hour. Everything is extremely simple, except that at the fortieth minute everything starts to slow down ungodly.
