How to unlock the Hit for the Cycle achievement in The BIGS 2 - Definitive Guide
A Cycle consists of four hits:
1 Single
1 Double
1 Triple
1 Home Run
You need to get All four of these hits with ONE Batter. It's a potentially very complicated achievement.
To get this, I suggest using someone Very Fast, with a high Contact or Power hitting (Ichiro is a good person to use. 5 star speed with Legendary Contact).
The single, double, and triple is partially up to luck. I would suggest hitting towards left field (Usually weaker than the other fielders).
If the person you're using doesn't have a high power rating, and can't hit a home run. Save the "Big Blast" for that player. It makes the Home Run part easier.
Get a single, double, triple, and a Home Run with One Batter, in One Game (in a single player mode) and the achievement is Yours for the taking.

Note : The Big Slam mode doesnt count for a home-run or for a single or for a RBI so just dont use it

I think this is as close as you can get to a failsafe way to get this achievement.
Hitting for the Cycle means getting a single, a double, a triple and a home run with one batter, so that batter must do a minimum of 4 hits. The hits don't need to be done in order and if you get more than one type of hit, it doesn't void the achievement. The hardest part of the cycle is getting a triple, so this guide concentrates on getting that done first and following up with the easy stuff.
As FairlyOrdinary said in his guide, Ichiro is an ideal player to use for this. Not only has he got excellent contact and speed, but he also comes with a free turbo every time he bats which is very useful when running for the bases. You will need to save your points for a Big Blast to get the home run though.
Ichiro plays for the Seattle Mariners, so select Play Ball! from the main menu, then set the team on the left to the Mariners, to bat first. The team on the right should be the Pittsburgh Pirates (or another low ranking team). Start the game as the Mariners.
Select Easy difficulty and leave the batting and pitching orders as default (assuming you haven't altered the rosters) - most importantly, Ichiro should bat first. Select any stadium you like and ensure you select 9 innings to give you the best chance of completing the cycle.
You should now be batting as Ichiro. Hit with a nice contact swing and try running to 3rd base to get the triple. I found that aiming the left stick to about 1 o'clock and using the turbo to run (RT once you're running) was the best way to do this. It might take a few tries, but if you fail, you can hit the start button and select Restart from the menu. Once you've made it to third base, the hardest part is over.
Now continue to play the game normally, I can't really help you much here, but you shouldn't have a hard time since you're playing on Easy mode against a poor team. You don't actually need to win, but playing well means Ichiro has more chances at batting. Remember, once you have enough points for a Big Blast, save it - you'll need it later.
Next time Ichiro is batting, you may not have enough points for a Big Blast, so aim to get the single or double. If there's already a player on first base when Ichiro bats, you're going to find it difficult getting a double, so if you can organise it so that doesn't happen, it will help. The player that precedes Ichiro is Hernandez, so start planning when he shows up. Remember to use that free turbo when Ichiro is running and if you're bowled, thrown or caught out, it's not the end of the world - there are plenty of opportunities in a 9 inning game.
If you have enough points for a Big Blast (LT+RT) when Ichiro comes round again to bat, use it with a power swing to hit the home run he needs. Use your Big Blast on Ichiro at the earliest opportunity so you have a chance to charge up another one if the first fails. If you're still waiting for a double and Ichiro has already hit a home run, use the Big Blast on Hernandez and he'll clear the field allowing an easy double.
Once you have 3 out of 4 of the hits, the commentator will announce the hit you're missing when Ichiro bats. Grab that last hit and the achievement should pop up at the same time as the text appears on screen to tell you how many points you earned for the hit.

Attain a single, double, triple and home run in a game with the same batter. Be careful to pay attention to what your hitters have done as the stat page in-game does not reflect the difference between singles, doubles and triples (though often the announcer will mention what is necessary for the cycle if you're close). The hardest to attain is the triple, make sure to make liberal use of your turbo on a ball that's hit to the wall in the outfield.

For the trophy, you need to hit a single, a double, a triple and a home run in one game (all 4 words that I listed imply capturing bases. That is, in one hit you need to capture one base, two in another and so on. The order does not matter )
We go to Play Now and take a star team for ourselves, and San Guerrero Pollos as opponents. You will need to use the turbo not only when hitting, but also when capturing bases. It’s very easy to get a single and a double, just hit the button , aiming left or right. You won't have any problems with this. Homerun is also very easy to get. Collect points on Big Blast and use it to knock the ball out of the field.
You will have more problems with a triple. Here's some advice on how to do it.
Let's have one player at first base and three turbo blocks. When it is served, press in order for the ball to fly into the far part of the field. If the enemy cannot catch it and he has to run after it, hold down the turbo button ( ) so that the runners run faster and then hold down so that they run forward (without changing course). If the first runner is out, the batter will reach third base and hit a triple.
