How to unlock the Face the Impossible achievement in The Long Dark - Definitive Guide
This is so easy. Keep spawing and dying until u get to desolation point spawn by lighthouse. Turn around and run to mine no. 3. Just sit inside and wait for 12 hrs twice. Youll slowly die from no food and water but youll last just long enough to pop the cheevo. Worked for me. Cheers!

Consegui com um pouco de sorte... Fui parar 3 vezes na Montanha dos Lobos, achei um local quente e esperei os 3 dias de boa ✌️😅

I just got lucky enough to spawn next to a building with some food and a can. I just rationed as much as possible and collected sticks to keep the fireplace on and sleep occasionally

I'll just start with this: the game cheats.
24 hours is a very long time on Interloper. All of the negative stats are amped up, so you are constantly on the edge of losing. When you start, you have very few of anything, and you cannot make a fire. You can find tinder and fuel, but in 10 attempts, only once did I find anything to light a fire.
The next problem is that you don't know where you are. You don't even know what map you're on. So the absolute first thing you need to do is figure that out, pull out a map (I suggest the ones at thelongdark.wikia.com) and find the nearest building you think will have supplies. That doesn't mean there are going to be supplies there.
Your two priorities are heat and water. Basically, you need that fire. You can go over a day after your calorie stores hit zero with no food, so ignore starving (even though it will slow you down eventually). Once I found water but froze before 24 hours had passed. I've died a few times from thirst. And once I died within 60 seconds from a wolf attack.
In other words, the stars are going to have to align and the RNG is going to have to roll your way for you to have a decent shot at this.
When I got this, I spawned on the ice in Desolation Point. (I'd died here twice already, both times on the ship.) I turned and ran up the hill into Abandoned Mine No. 5, which stays warm. You can stay there indefinitely if you have food and water. (Pro tip: if you turn off all the lights in your house, you can see enough to get through the mine without a light. There are no hidden drops in this cave.)
I crossed though the mine to the entrance near Hibernia Processing (grab some coal before you leave), then walked to the south (upstairs) entrance. I searched everywhere before I finally found matches upstairs in the office. There is reclaimed wood in the main bay, and you can light the fire in the workshop fire barrel.
Immediately make water. I didn't boil my first time, but my fire was dying very quickly with no fuel. After you have water, it's a matter of sleeping and resting until you hit 24 hours. You can look in your stats screen to see how much longer you have.

OK, this is how I unlocked this achievement.
Firstly, I died 4 times on different maps ( 2 x Wolf attacks, 2 x Hypothermia).
On my 5th try, I was spawned right next to a Waterfall and the "New location discovered " told me I was at the Offset falls, so I paused the game and located the map for this location (Hushed River Valley). Just up from the Falls was another Falls with an ice cave behind it.
I went straight into the cave and although I lost all my heat the arrow pointed up, meaning I was gaining heat at +1degree ( I had the Cold Fusion badge active which gives +2degrees benefit).
The only thing left to do was to highlight the deck of cards to Rest for X amount of hours and after 24 hours the achievement popped. I didn't eat, drink or make a fire and actually lasted 31 hours even though I had no Hunger, Dry mouth or Rested left (all were Red).
The health line at the bottom needs to disappear and then you will die.
So if you hear a waterfall nearby, go to it to work out where you are and go into an Ice cave or Cave network not just any Cave.
Hope this helps.

This is, to no surprise, harder than it sounds when first playing Interloper.
You start with barely any gear or clothing and the weather is frigid, so finding an indoor location is the first thing you need to do.
The best spawn is Forlorn Muskeg as it connects to the easiest region Mystery Lake (there are also cat tails on the way giving you some calories) . As soon as you make it to Mystery lake make a B-line to the Trapper's Homestead, it's one of the few places on the island that have a natural above 0oC interior. There is also a chance for matches to spawn there allowing you get water as well. If there are no matches, warm up, loot the homestead and try and make your way to the camp office for more supplies, you will usually find at least some sort of drink between those two locations, and if not, try your luck at the lake cabins.
Interloper difficulty in a nutshell:
You will never spawn in beginner regions (like Mystery Lake), Always spawn outside and have the chance of spawning at night as well. You also don't start with any matches and they are rare find on top of that. You rarely find anything in containers and a few cargo containers on Timberwolf mountain don't spawn and the ones that do have drastically lower quality items in them. There are no firearms, bows, hatches or knives either, you have to make them yourself. A fun but difficult challenge.

Surviving one day sounds easy but it's not. Your top priority is finding shelter so find a building to stay in. Once there, try to make a fire or get clothes. If you have shelter, surviving a single day is a lot easier. Build a fire, sleep most of the time to skip time, make sure you don't starve or dehydrate to death. If you have 1% or more health left after 24 hours, you survived and will get the trophy. Stay warm!

It is better to get a “cartographer”, then you will quickly find your way around the area. There is little time to build up, because... you have nothing in your inventory, not even matches. I was thrown out in a gratifying valley near the survivalist’s bunker, I went down to the bunker, found two cans of soda there, slept peacefully for the night and received a trophy.

It's just hard to play on this difficulty. It happened about the tenth time.
TACTICS:
- Before starting the game, turn the brightness up to 100% to make it easier to loot rooms and not miss anything.
-As soon as you appear, immediately open the map, the current location will be written there. If you appear in a difficult location, then feel free to restart or die, there is no need to overcome. The point is for randomness to throw you into a location “rich” in loot and cover. Usually, these are locations where there are many buildings. But even these locations, at such difficulty, do not shine with loot; there may not be a box of matches for the entire location, not to mention clothes or knives and axes
-Spawn most often in the evening, in a T-shirt, jeans, sneakers, and you immediately start to freeze. You freeze even indoors if you are too cold.
-Move in dashes from cover to cover. Chopping wood and collecting meat on the street is tantamount to death.
-Pick up everything that burns from the ground (firewood, branches, boards, coal, books).
-Run away from wolves immediately, there is little chance of surviving an attack.
-Don’t forget that the fireman also starts a fire (matches can be difficult).
-Included is an empty jar to boil the snow.
-Your goal is to collect food and “combustible materials.” Hide in a room where there is a stove with a bed and wait while warming yourself by the stove, boiling water and eating what you get
