How to unlock the Misanthrope achievement in The Lord of the Rings: Adventure Card Game - Definitive Edition - Definitive Guide
Here is the setup I used for 500 wins with no allies.
Heroes: Arwen, Eowyn, Gimli
1x - A Daughter of Kings
2x - A Watchful Peace
2x - Beorn's Hospitality
2x - Dwarven Axe
1x - Elven Blade
1x - Forest Snare
2x - Grace of the Eldar
1x - Lembas
2x - Mithrandir's Advice
2x - Raiment of War
1x - Ranger Spear
1x - Secret Paths
2x - Shield of Rohan
1x - Spear Wall
2x - Star Brooch
1x - Sting
2x - Timely Rescue
2x - Unexpected Courage
2x - Will of Steel
A Daughter of Kings is unlocked by resolving 25 Objectives with Eowyn, so if you haven't played her much, you can sub in a different card as it's not necessary to win. Grace of the Eldar is unlocked by using Arwen's Upkeep ability 50 times. Again, this is not a necessary card, but you will likely unlock this without trying much just by using her. The remaining cards I believe are all available to be purchased with the in-game currency earned from completing quests.
Please note that the games are slightly random based on who gets attacked, what cards Sauron plays, and what cards you draw, so your mileage will vary a bit. There are likely better setups, but this worked very well for me.
Play Campaign 1, Quest 1: Attercop, Attercop on Narrative difficulty.
In your opening hand, try to get Star Brooch, Unexpected Courage, and a Dwarven Axe. Generally, I try to equip the following on Gimli: Star Brooch, Dwarven Axe and Raiment of War, not necessarily in the first round, but in that preference. Try to equip Eowyn with either Unexpected Courage/Star Brooch and Sting. Lastly equip Arwen with Unexpected Courage/Star Brooch, and either Elven Blade/Ranger's Spear, and Raiment of War/Shield of Rohan.
Round One: I kill the spiders/enemies instead of doing the obstacle with Gimli and Eowyn, and Arwen charges the fate meter 2 times so that it's up to 6 willpower points. You get Sting for completing round 1, so save 2 resource points to give it to Eowyn prior to traveling if you can. I still have Sting in my deck (and 2 Dwarven Axes) as Sauron will randomly remove your attachments sometimes.
Round Two: Take out the obstacles with Arwen, with Eowyn/Gimli helping when the enemies are taken care of. If you have the cards in hand, this is a great time to use Secret Paths or Will of Steel especially as it can take out an entire obstacle if Gimli is well equipped. Make sure you get the location specific fate event Cordial of Sleep (4 willpower) for the card Mirkwood Water right before you travel. Do it last in case Sauron plays a card that discards all your event cards. Another optional thing to do right before this if you are able is to play a low value event card, such as Watchful Peace, Timely Rescue or Mithrandir's Advice in case he has a treachery card loaded to cancel your next event. This is so that you can play the event card you just got at the beginning of round 3.
Round Three: Play Mirkwood Water so that Kirous is exhausted and then try to kill him this turn or get him low enough so that the first attack next turn will kill him. If you are unlucky and Sauron cancelled your play of Mirkwood Water, it's still not too difficult but will likely take a couple of turns. The location specific fate event Ulahid Herbs for 2 willpower is good if you need an extra hit with someone like Gimli. This is why I load up 6 willpower into the Fate Meter in round one.
Round Four: Try to kill the spiders in your first turn if you're able, otherwise you only have to kill 6 total to finish which you should be able to accomplish in 2 turns as your heroes should be well equipped by now. You can't rescue the dwarf as I believe he counts as an ally.
During the rounds you may need to deal with the threat meter based on what Sauron is doing, but I could usually finish the quest before most threats except sometimes the summoned spider, but with Gimli loaded up, it can be killed in one attack. If you're using the Watchful Peace and Grace of the Eldar cards, you're likely keeping the threat meter down though.
Repeat another 499 times. Any questions, leave a comment and I will try to help. Good luck!

1st- I also always saved a minion on the first turn to help smooth out the run. The extra cards and mana helped to combat variance.
2nd- ignore minions use gimli on the 4, Eowyn (hopefully with courage or brooch for resest), arwen + Eowyn on the 6. Sometimes the ai has a card to restore objectives to full. Will of Steel/ready a character will solve this. Use 4 willpower for cordial sleep
3rd - Exaust with cordial sleep from last room. This room has some variance and you will learn optimizations over your 500 runs (lovely). ALWAYS end with gimli in guard mode. The 2 willpower ready a character helps here.
4th- Attack the 4 health guard with Eowyn, one minion attacks gimli, guard with gimli, attack final spider.
This will always work as long as Gimli has any weapon.

Further improvements:
+1 Lembas -1 The road goes on
Round 1 - leave 1 as usual; end with Eowyn guarding
Round 2 - If you have Gimli at 4 attack, use Will of Steel. If you don't have that, do it as my comment above and hope the flying enemy attacks Eowyn. If either of these happen, this room can be cleared without Sauron playing a card. End with Gimli guarding (Eowyn can be used, but it will require an additional ready).
Round 3 - Attack with Eowyn, use the 2 will power to ready Gimli, attack with Gimli, boss is dead if Gimli started with 4 power. End with Gimli Guarding. Again, Sauron didn't play any cards.
Round 4 - Same as above
My runs went from about 7-8 minutes down to about 5 with this strategy. My fastest run was 3 and half minutes. Also, this leaves Sauron no time to play any of the disruptive/variance cards besides the very first turn and you only need 2 willpower instead of 6.
