How to unlock the Patched up and ready to go achievement in This War of Mine: The Little Ones - Definitive Guide
Stock on up on bandages and let said civilian rest/bandaged everyday. Should take no longer than three or so days until the achievement pops. That's if you do not get raided and said civilian gets wounded again. Please ask questions before down voting, as this is my second guide. Thank you.
Before attempting this, make sure you have 3-4 bandages. You'll find two bandages in the Supermarket location and a bandage in your starting shelter. You can also trade for bandages. I went for this achievement in a fresh game where I didn't care about finishing the game so I didn't mind trading precious resources for high cost bandages.
Getting lethally wounded was the hardest part of this achievement. Combat in this game isn't the smoothest (emulating real life, I suppose?) so you have to chance killing while lethally wounded. In terms of hit points, you'd be one more attack away from death.
What I did was set up a game with the Decrepit Squat. I went early on to get some raw materials for my home and DID NOT feed the homeless man. Going back the next night, the homeless man will be dead and someone will be squatting over him. He'll threaten you - "Stay away from me if you know what's good for you" sort of stuff - but won't attack.
It took about six or seven tries but I managed to get lethally wounded by pressing to engage combat and just timed my attacks so I attacked first and then countered immediately after his attacks. I ended the fight lethally wounded but I died a bunch of times in the process. You have time when you see the "-Person- died" screen to hit and leave the game. When you reload you'll be back at the day before you went out.
If you kill the squatter and you are Gravely Wounded, don't restart. Head back to your shelter and let the poor person just sit in a chair. Don't let them rest, put them on guard duty that night, and don't bandage them. Their wounds will get worse with time and you'll get a status message in the morning alerting you to that person's dire circumstances.
The person in that hovel has a gun but will use punches at close range. I imagine it's possible to get lethally wounded by attacking him and then running back to the ladder. Climb the ladder but stay half-exposed to the basement and his bullets will still hit you. I never got this method to work but I reckon it's possible.
Once you are home, have the wounded person apply a bandage and then immediately get in a bed. Make sure they are well fed and re-apply a bandage every morning. Raids in the night can hurt your wounded player so make sure your other survivors are guarding each night. It took 3 days and 3 bandages to go from Lethally Wounded to Wounded - upon which the achievement popped. The pattern will be: bandage in the day, eat every two days, sleep in bed at night.
In order to get this achievement, you will need to Heal someone from being "Gravely Wounded" to being "Slightly Wounded." It's difficult to manufacture this achievement, but you can follow the method in "Miraculous recovery" to try and make someone listed as wounded worse. You might also get someone to the point where they are Gravely Wounded while going for the "First blood" achievement. But, once you have someone listed as Gravely Wounded when they start the day, you can go for this achievement.
Once someone is listed as "Gravely Wounded" for any reason, have them bandage their wounds and start them on total rest. Bandage them every morning, and have them spend the rest of the day recovering in bed. And make sure that someone is on guard at night to protect them, just to make sure that they aren't injured in an attack. Hopefully they will recover from Gravely Wounded to Severely Wounded after the first day, then to Wounded after the second day and Slightly Wounded on the third day, unlocking this achievement.
