How to unlock the Phantom Strike achievement in Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow HD - Definitive Guide

Finish the game on any difficulty without raising a single alarm. If you look in the bottom right-hand corner of your screen, just above your weapon, you will see either 0/0, 0/1, 0/2 or 0/3. Unless it is '- - / - -' you must not complete the mission with it being let's say: 1/3. What it means is that, you have sounded the alarm and therefore you will have no chance of earning this trophy. If you do sound an alarm, immediately reload your game.

What Constitutes an Alarm?
There are a number of ways to sound an alarm but to clarify, if you get spotted and an adversary is opening fire on you, this does not mean you have sounded the alarm. An alarm only counts if you hear the 'Alarm-like' sound or if it specifically says on your alarm count just about your weapon. Here is how you can sound an Alarm:

Poorly Hidden Body - When you kill or knock out an opponent, he will then proceed to collapse onto the floor. These bodies must be hidden in a darkened area. Your eyesight can clearly determine what areas are dark, but the most-reliable source is your dark to light meter (located on the bottom right of your screen). All bodies must be hidden in an area where the gauge's indicator is to the far left, which denotes complete darkness. There is a bit of leeway, you can veer slightly to the right but not by much. Now as you proceed through the game's level, it will automatically sweep the area for poorly hidden bodies, if there is one, then an alarm will sound. Even if you kill everyone in sight so that there is no one about to check even, that is irrelevant because the game will still raise an alarm for a poorly hidden body.

Now, throughout any level, you get particular points where the game will automatically save your progress, which is known as an 'Autosave.' If you were to have one of these, and you were to walk couple of steps forward and you set off an alarm due to a body been poorly hidden. Then you will be snookered, and you will have to restart the level completely. You can do this by pressing , and selecting 'Load Game' on this menu. On it, there will be 'Level Select' select this and replay the level from scratch.

Opponent Spots you - If an armed guard spots you, he will either open fire and try to kill you or more commonly he will raise an alarm via radio or a nearby switch on the wall. If an unarmed personnel spots you, he/she will alert a nearby guard or they will actively go to an alarm switch. Furthermore if you knock out or kill a guard via gunfire, if there is someone nearby then they will radio in an alarm.

You can also be spotted via the spotlights that appear in a few levels. If one reveals your location, then an Alarm will sound. These lights are unbreakable and the only way to avoid them is through learning their patterns in which they search the area. Finally, if a camera sees you, this will be an automatic alarm, however you can shoot these in order to disable them.

If you are unfortunate enough to get spotted and an alarm sounds, then simply reload your game to a time where your alarm was zero. Whether that be a complete level restart or an in-level save which you have previously made To clarify, you must not complete a level with your alarm count saying for example 1/3; this will put an end to your chances of getting this trophy.

Finally, there some periods when Alarms are turned off. For example: During Mission 4, soon as you arrive down to the basement, your alarm count meter reads: '- - / - -' what this means is that there are now alarms in this particular area. You are at liberty to leave bodies etc where-ever you want.
