How to unlock the Atomic Number 78 achievement in Trials Evolution - Definitive Guide

Hey guys, here are some videos I made for Platinum Track guides for this achievement. I will be adding more and more videos as I can record and edit them, so make sure to subscribe to get updated, you can get to my channel at:

http://www.youtube.com/user/ZleekProduction/videos?flow=grid...

And here are some videos I already have done!

Thumb either way and please comment with your thoughts!

EDIT: Yes I know, the videos are a bit long, but I can't really make a good guide without duration, so hopefully they help and are worth the wait!

Thanks for taking the time to make these and put them up. I was struggling to finish the five Hard courses faultlessly but after a days study I've finished them all faultlessly, now I just need to work on the times. What first appeared impossible now appears just plain difficult! Thanks for dialling it down a notch for me.

Got this one last night. Your videos helped me, but I didn't really watch the in depth portions. Best tip was just to keep practicing.

Might go back and try for the last 8 platinums I need for this. BTW your solution has the Bazaar Run video embedded twice.

This is not really a guide but I'm just putting it out there for those attempting this you do not need to platinum any Skill games or tournaments for this. Just the tracks(except the extremes obviously)

Other than that I'm sorry to say you will have to be pretty good to earn this one.You will have to speed run the track as well as 0 faulting it. Took me maybe 6 hours of just trying over and over. I watched replays of the best people on the leaderboards and tried to copy where they went and what bike they used, that helped a lot as it showed me the shortcuts and timesavers they used. This will take a lot of patience, practice, and re-tries to finally get them all platinumed, I was getting pretty frustrated on some of the hard tracks. Good luck to all who attempt this.

Thanks for confirming that skill games and tournaments aren't needed. Somehow the time limits seem stricter than the base game, many of my initial 0-fault runs weren't even enough for a gold medal. This is going to be very tough.

Yeah I thought that too. 43 seconds on Anno Domini was really annoying to get, that was too strict

Thanks for confirming that you won't need the skill game platinums! They've typically been easier to platinum than the tracks themselves though, so I guess it wouldn't matter either way. I was really more curious than anything.

From my experience with the main game, harder difficulties are more about not faulting than getting a good time. I remember platinuming some of the Extremes in the main game and really just taking my time the whole way through.

From what you've written though ("You will have to speed run the track as well as 0 faulting it"), it seems like they are less forgiving about time now. Is this true for even the harder Hard tracks?

No problem. I've also platinumed the extremes in the main game from taking it quite slow, and I still had trouble. Theres a few hard tracks you will have to go pretty fast but thats mainly in the 2nd category(think its called Dorado something, not online to check) the last one with 5 hard tracks is a bit easier but still obviously needs 0 faults. for example, the track Nature calls was the last one I needed to do, it has a few hard obstacles but the platinum time isnt too bad, I spent maybe 45 mins just trying it over and over then when I finally hit 0 faults I got a really good time aswell something like 53 seconds and I stopped for a second or two at some obstacles and the platinum time is 1 minute 10. so there are a few hard tracks which are less strict on time

I was so happy with myself for completeing Trials HD and Trials Evo 100%, but now it seems I will never get it back. That stupid wheelie achievement in Origin of Pain pisses me off so much. I could never really master the wheelie in Trials HD, and now it's actually required. And now this one. AAAAARRRGGHHH!

a litte OT, but what MikeJuggles said goes for me, too. I think, i'll get that wheelie cheevo at some point, but that tournament looks actually scarier than marathon...

Ugh, I spent all last night Platinuming the first two easy tracks. The first one took me a couple of tries, but finally figuring out how to skip that "halfpipe" a few checkpoints into the second track took me a couple of hours. I knew what I had to do, I just couldn't figure out how to really pull it off for a good while. Felt good once I got it though. Now on to the Mediums!

Yes, Anno Domini is ridiculous. I just did what I felt to be a near flawless run and I was still about 1.4 second too slow. Viewing the replay, I have no idea where I could have shaved time off.

Sorry to spam your solution, but I'm really having trouble with Anno(y) Domini. I can't consistently jump that horizontal pillar halfway through the track, and when I actually do, it messes up the flow and I hit the next ramp too hard which slows me down and causes me to not get enough height to hit the optional higher ramp. Any tips?

Feel free to add me as a friend and watch my replays. I'm quite good at trials but obviously not amazing enough to get an absolutely perfect run. On some of them I barely made the platinum time. Other than trying to copy my run I cant really give you any tips sorry. Keep at it, you'll get them eventually :)

I also agree that the Anno Domini platinum time is way too strict. I believe it can be done without skipping that section with horizontal pillar though. I got my time down to less than a second off the platinum time without utilizing that skip (mainly because I can't for the life of me get enough velocity to clear it). Have stopped working on that level for the time being as it was taking far too long.

ive done it with skipping the horizontal pilar section, was getting sick of the restart button because of it

anno domini was my main problem for awhile aswell, try not doing the forward somersault off the 1st large pillar like the top views and just get on top then rev across. on the main pillar in question you don't need a load of speed from the run, try just using the checkpoint restart to practice the angle you lean at to get the push forwards-its not the speed cos of the angle. as you go into the bend lean back then full forward into the incline as you want to bring the bike off at a lower angle than the pillar to get over the top. when you do clear it if you're having trouble jumping onto the small platform which is high up you can just drop down and clear that entire pillar off the ramp without too much time difficuty.

Guess the 3 negative votes are from people who don't play Trials or are not good enough to get the cheevo.

I'll honestly say I am not good enough but love the games anyway!

Anno Domini is currently kicking my as too. I'm .2 off and haven't been able to shave any more time off for the last hour. Frustrating as hell.

I would say that you're getting negative votes because you don't offer a solution in your "solution".

I just have Nature Calls left to do and then achievements wise I think I'm done. Can maybe get Ultimate Endurance II but Wail of the Banshee requires ridiculous consistency.

Good luck.
Yeah I was the first to post a guide on this, which is why I said it's not really a guide. I don't mind the negative votes, there is always going to be some guy who does it for no reason.

Smashed it!

I say smashed it, what I actually mean is scraped through with 1.5 seconds spare. After finishing up these I went to clear up the Paine Island Hard platinums. They are much easier courses. I would put the Riders Of Doom Hard tracks as the equivalent of low end Extremes from the original content.

Funnily enough I think the Riders Of Doom Extremes are easier than the Paine Island ones.

Just outside the top 1000 riders +DLC now and work on Never Ending Trials in between times. Every time I feel like I'm done with this game I find a new target to keep me playing. Practice really does pay dividends.

I fucking love Trials.

Have a positive vote for my waffling celebration!

Wow this was difficult. Bazaar Run, Dome of Doom, and Overpass Action took a total of 13 hours alone. One of my proudest 10G achievements. Practice, practice, practice and a heck of a lot of time is all this takes.
