How to unlock the Olympic Mixed Martial Artist achievement in UFC Undisputed 2010 - Definitive Guide
THIS ACHIEVEMENT IS UNOBTAINABLE
This is going to be a long description of how to get each of these gold medals. Me and my buddy The Sharkopath did this last night and it doesn't take too long. This is how to boost it with another player.
*EDIT* These Must Be In Ranked Matches
First, KO of the Night. This is where you must KO your opponent in under 60 seconds in the first round. Just use a strong striker, Lesnar or Carwin, and pick any low level guys and make sure its a KO. No referee stoppage on the ground. Just rock them and let them recover, then a strong right ought to do it.
Submission of the night. This requires you to Submit your opponent in the first 2 minutes and 30 seconds in the first round. Run up to your opponent and do the side slam into Side Control and lock on a kimura. Make sure your opponent doesnt rotate and its an automatic TapOut.
Touch Gloves. This can obviously be done with other things. Just walk up at the beginning and make sure you make contact with the glove touch.
Rocked. Simply have the opponent keep hitting you in the stomach and this will rock you eventually. Repeat two more times and THEN YOU CAN COMBINE ANOTHER MEDAL.
Ground and Pound. This is where you do 90% of all damage done to opponent is in ground and pound. So after you are rocked 3 times. Simply perform a double leg takedown and transition into full mount posture up and TKO them.
Fight of the Night. Both players must land 50 hits per round for an entire fight. It must go to DECISION. This medal does not require you to win. So meet at the middle of the octagon and simply have both players do stomach shots. Make sure that both of you are getting hits by checking the stamina bar, if its going down then you are hitting and getting hit.
Now More than likely you will get the Counter Hit Medal along with the FotN medal. If you don't then you must hit 20 counter hits in a fight. Simply have the opponent go for body shots and you just tap X or Y and land the shots in the face. This should get you 20+ counter hits.
Combo. This requires you to land 20 combos. Basically just hit a bunch of punches in rapid succession. X Y is a combo. You can keep slamming those two in succession the medal will be yours.
The next two should be done in the same fight!
Reversal. This requires you to complete 10 transition reversals in a fight. Such as, from the open guard down, the opponent on their back should try to escape, and the player on top will reverse. A successful reverse leads to a more advantageous position. From Open Guard down will lead to side control, then to mount. Stand up and do it again.
Then after you have completed that, You can do the Counter Grapple Medal, which requires you to execute 20 counter grapples. Your opponent throws a punch and you catch it and moves into the clinch. Push off and do it again.
Using this method Both Sharkopath and I achieved this in our first 20 fights. Even less if you combine a few more medals into one fight.
Good luck!
EDIT (05/05/2011)
According to some, many people believe this achievement is glitched, however people are still unlocking it. The trick is to just be persistent, as many of you know from Kay Tee Eff Oh! Here's a link to the thread concerning this "glitch"

Can these be done in Player matches? I'm only missing this achievement, and would like to the finish the game up (and move onto more Ranked Matches).
Thanks.
Thanks.

REVERSAL ONLY - This is basically BootlessScotty guide but much more in detail.
Make a CAF in Light Heavy weight class ...we will call him MrSubb.
his stats-FIGHTER ABILITIES - FIGHT STYLE - ATTRIBUTES
strength 59
speed 56
cardio 57
FIGHTER ABILITIES - FIGHT STYLE - SKILLS
starting from striking to submission
70,55,75,70,70,60,55,60,70,70,60,50,60,60,73,60
now your fighter is ready to reversed all day long.
EXHIBITION - RANKED - 5 ROUND - LIGHT HEAVY - UFC & CAF
so find your boosting partner in crime and have him find your game. he will be picking MACHIDA/OR any good submission guy against you (MrSubb)
1. MrSubb should take down Machida (LT + RS in direction)
2. MrSubb press LS get out of Machida's guard and stand up
3. Now Machida is on ground, MrSubb should go jump in his full guard (LT + RS dir)
4. Subb try to pass full guard to half guard....here's the KEY ....you'll see him MrSubb put his hand on machida's knee to pass full guard to half guard.....soon as you see his hand go the direction of Machida's knee......START flicking (2-3 times) cuz of lag and he WILL do REVERSAL.
5. after reversal...Machida press LS get out of the guard...and start step 1.
keep doing this....you might get 4 or 7 reversal in the first round....but just GET COMFORTABLE with the sequence and once you have 10 reversal...in one round...finish the game. I finished in a unanimous decision...but it could be a KO/SUB/DEC...it doesn't matter as far as you pull 10 reversal in any of the 3/5 rounds. good luck msg me for any thing you may wanna add......this is my first guide on TA. go TAers!!!!!

This definitely works, it took me several attempts just to get the timing of the reversal but got there, just have patience. I also reccomend if you have time left in the round after 10 do as many more as you can, just in case!

So, I'm a little confused. Does this earn the medal for Machida or Subb?

*This is for REVERSALS only*
me and a friend did this last night, i did initially have the same problem where i got way more than ten reversals in the match and then got a silver.
what we then tried to do was make sure when my buddy was doing the transitioning, as i reversed him i made sure it was actually changing to an advantageous position like a roll where he goes from top to bottom or he is in full mount and i end up in his guard.
For example, sometimes i would reverse him, but then he would kick me off by accident, and other times it would look like a reversal but we would both end up standing, in the tutorial these were apparently reversals but i didn't count these.
So when i actually got the reversal i would land a few punches while in that reversed position.
i really think that helped as it may help registering that the reversal has taken place because you have made the reversal and then you have made use of the reversal and gained the upper hand by getting in a position to be able to land better strikes.
we also were getting roughly 6-8 reversals per round so i dont think it is necessary to get 10 per round but it may vary per person i just hope this helps anybody who is struggling with the reversal gold medal.
please let me know if i can add anything before voting negative :)

if your havin trouble with the reversal medal heres an idea for you this is how i got mine got a friend we both created a fighter in the LH class and left thy stats as low as poss now he choose hes created fighter and i picked rampage jackson when the fight started i toke him down so your in hes guard and cause hes stats are so low you can see when hes guna try kick you off a mile away as soon as he trys to kick you off flick your right analog stick and you should pass hes guard into side control then mount him and stand up the created fighter should stay on the ground the whole round as rampage get back in hes guard and repeat till you have about 20 secs left then the last time you mount him knock him out from mount you have to get all the reversals in the same round good luck guys leave a comment if you unclear about anyting and i will help best i can.
From what I am guessing, it means that you have to earn all gold medals. These include:
KO of the Night - KO someone in less than 60 seconds.
Submission of the Night - Tapout victory in less than 2:30 of Round 1.
Fight of the Night - 50+ hits each round landed by each fighter.
Ground and Pound Artist - 90% of all damage landed comes from ground positions.
Counter Grappling - Perform 20 counter-grapples and win the fight.
Rocked - Win after being Rocked 3 times.
Counter Strike Artist - Win after performing more than 20 counter hits
Reversal - Perform more than 10 Transition Reversals
Combo - Perform 20 or more striking combos and win.
Touch Gloves - Touch gloves up close and personal.
It may take you awhile, but I believe that's what makes you earn this wonderful achievement.
