How to unlock the The fate of Tiltren achievement in Wartales - Definitive Guide

To finish the Tiltren scenario you have to complete 5 different quests to get access to the final quest for the area. Those quests are as follows:

- Sentenced to Death
- Private Property
- Manhunt
- Missing Woodcutters
- The Man in Chains
- The Fate of Trilten

I'll cover all the quests in detail.

Sentenced to Death: This questline starts at an area called "Wealthy Farm." Talk to the pleading wife for her to tell you that you should talk to some of her husband's "friends" up north near the left side of the lake. When you meet these "friends" it turns out they're bandits. Speak to these bandits and warn them of the husband's imminent hanging. The bandits will go to the Wealthy Farm. Return to the wealthy farm for the battle. The game makes you choose here to help the wealthy farmers or the bandits (refugees). Neither choice really matters here, but siding with the farmers is an easier fight.

Private Property: When you get to the Sheepfold you'll meet with an elderly couple and their daughter. The daughter wants you to help her convince the nearby angler to cede the property to them since they're refugees who need the land. She'll head to the nearby Fishing Hut. Go to the fishing hut and speak to the angler for the deed. You can choose to intimidate him or bribe him for the deed, or alternatively you can side with him and tell the daughter to kick rocks and get out, upon which she will attack you. Again, neither choice has much impact but the reward for helping the daughter is better.

Manhunt: Go to the northern part of Trilten and head to the Guard Outpost. Speak to the Captain who needs your help to drive out a bandit from a nearby cave. Go up north into the Sinister Cave where the bandit is hiding. When you talk to the bandit he'll try to convince you to kill the Captain. Once again the choice doesn't matter as the rewards here are the exact same so just kill the bandits since the fight is easier.

Missing Woodcutters: This quest doesn't show up until you've completed 2 other quests, and it'll be automatically marked on your map when it's available as a purple circle. Simply go to Haven and speak with the refugee leader, upon which he'll tell you to go check on his people in a nearby woodcutting camo up north. Go north to the camp. Approach the camp and speak to the refugees to proceed with the story. After this follow outside to see two groups clashing nearby. These are the Tule Defenders led by Vithelhar, who want the Refugees to stop cutting down trees. As with the Wealthy Farmers and bandits you're forced to pick a side. Both offer the slightly different rewards, with the Tule Defenders offering beans while the refugees offer wood. Really underwhelming rewards.

The Man in Chains: This quest is also pretty underwhelming. Immediately to the right of the woodcutters camp is an abandoned tower. Simply enter the tower and speak to the chained man to free him by lockpicking his chains and escort him to either to Stromkapp at Master Hulan’s Forge or the Haven by speaking to the refugee leader. On the way there you will be chased by soldiers from a man named Count Laheart who seek to take the man back with them. The rewards are the exact same for either location. Note that the quest will still be completed if you hand over the man to Count Laheart's men, but you won't get any rewards at all.

Now for the final quest, The Fate of Trilten: Depending on your choices in the previous quests for helping either the refugees or the county natives more will decide your ending. The criteria is having 3/5 choices in favor of either side. Both fights are pretty easy, but the fight against the refugees (so siding with the natives) is a bit easier. But again, the rewards are the exact same so it's up to you. If you sided with the natives you have to speak to a woman named Lady Mayoress Gontrande to gather the forces for an assault on The Haven, while if you sided with the refugees you have to speak to the Refugee leader Fergas to gather the forces for an assault on Stromkapp. Simply win the fight for either side to complete The Fate of Trilten.
