How to unlock the Undefeated achievement in Wildfrost - Definitive Guide
There isn’t really a good way to guarantee this achievement, but I can give advice as to what works the best.
First off, some tips about traversing. There is a tierlist of what you should go after:
Companions > Charms > Blingsnail > Treasure
When you get to a shop, ALWAYS GET THE CROWN unless all your companions already have one. Then go for charms, then cards that will help.
For boss rewards, the same rules apply. If there is a crown, get it. If not, make judgments as to what bells/charms would work best with your build.
Also, keep an eye out for anything that says “Noomlin”. These allow you to use a card and not lose your turn.
Now onto the builds: to get this achievement you need to win three runs in a row. Here are two teams that worked the best for me:
Snowdwellers: Snoof, Yuki, Snoffel, as many Snowcakes as you can get. Snow is probably the most consistent build in the game. Snoffel adds 1 snow to each target during his turn, and Yuki’s attack increases with each snow applied. So if you use a Snowcake, which applies 10 snow, Yuki’s attack will increase by 10. This build essentially stunlocks the enemy behind a mountain of snow.
Shademancers: Monch + Chikichi (Van Jun if possible)
Chikichi is a summon that improves every time it is sacrificed. It starts with 2 health and 2 attack but these numbers increase with each subsequent sacrifice up to 10 health and 10 attack. This is where Monch comes in. Every time Monch attacks he eats the allies in his row (which counts as a sacrifice), gains their health and attack, and then attacks. In this build, Monch consistently gains health and attack that scales up as Chikichi is sacrificed. Combine this with Van Jun (who increases all summons health and attack by 2) and this build becomes gamebreaking (although Van Jun isn’t necessary)
I would suggest going for the snowdwellers build, as snow is more consistent and I find those companions a lot more consistently than Monch and Chikichi.
Finally, and this is important, remember the team that won the previous run. After you beat the frost guardian once, the team you used previously will be “infected” and used against you in the next run. This has burned me at least once. In a previous run I had a leader that applied 2 poison to anything that hit it. I forgot this and in the next run I applied Fragile to me leader (always has 1 hp) meaning as soon as my leader hit the infected one it died, ending the run. As you progress through each run, think about counters to your previous cards.
Good luck!
