How can I get a tag partner? I wanted to do this before I started going for the individual titles after the NXT championship. My tag partner section is empty.

"Before you can enter the Tag Team division, you first need to find a partner. You can find one by entering a match in support of a friend/ally. Then say you're forming a tag team during your interview. Finally, go to the rankings, select Tag Team championship and press cn_A."

You have to be in good standing with him though.

Ok, so I should do this in between rivalries right? Once I am in a rivalry I can only access my match and watch my rival's match. Unless I am missing where to do all of this

I'm having issues. Even when I'm not I a rivalry it only lets me do run ins. How can I enter a match in support of someone?

When you go to do a run in, hit right on the D-pad and select Mid Match.

On my game the PTPs are the champions. I fueded with New Day, beat them at the PPV event, but no achievement and no title.

Not sure if this has been fixed?

Did you run in on someone who is in a tag team to start a feud with the tag team? NOTE: I'm not sure if it'll work with a singles wrestler, since I attacked a tag team wrestler and quickly got the titles because of the glitch.

If it's a member of a tag team, you will feud with the tag team, not just the one wrestler.

I havent, but other tag teams have. It loads me in a singles match where they run in on me, then sets it up to where I can start a rivalry via the post match interview. I've been brushing off the rivalries for fear that it would lock me into a singles rivalry and mess up the tag rankings.

I've gotten up to rank 5 so far now repeating the following: beat up the guy who runs in on me during raw, get a random singles match against guys like Rock or Lesnar who lm have nothing to do with tag teams, or get a random tag team match for Smackdown. Repeat the run in on Raw, random tag or singles match on Smackdown, and finally a match at the PPV which is never a tag.

Sometimes our leaderboard rank rises after a singles match, sometimes after a tag, there's really no rhyme or reason. It does take a while though, I'm only going up on rank every month or two in game.

Have you tried manually running in on, say, Big E, Kofi, or a member of the Wyatt family/Lucha Dragons/another tag team that doesn't have the titles? Once you do that you should get the titles fairly quickly.

I'll give it a shot. It set me up in a singles match against Goldust and Statdust ran in on me. I'm going to lock it into a rivalry with them and see what happens. PTP are the champs and I tried a fued with Titus, however, it led nowhere. I entered it ranking 4 and finished ranked 4, never lost a match either.

Yeah, that should work. Glad Goldust's partner ran in on you. Let me know how it goes. :)

Also, if you don't use the accelerator then any unlockable you might get for winning your feud will unlock for the other half the tag team you're feuding with.

Glad you got the achievement, despite being buried under a mountain of glitches. I swear, some devs don't know how to program.

I was in a "feud" with Viktor, kept getting matches against Kalisto. Finn Balor and myself faced them at extreme rules and won the titles. However the Prime Time Players were the champs and they defended the titles the match before us against Goldust and Stardust and won.

Ah well it gave me the achievement so on to bigger and better things lol

@EDGE, I just had the storyline you described a couple months ago, except I had just broken up with Sting. I'm guessing you went against your partner because he's in the Authority and you sided with Sting (as I did). That wasn't a glitch, it was just poorly designed because it didn't break up your tag team.

I can confirm that this is still glitched. Prime Time Players were tag champs. I fought Lucha Dragons with Brock Lesner @ Fastlane while Brock and I were rank 8 and we won the belts and achievement popped. Quicker route to the achievement anyway!

Have you managed to get PTP to be your rivals yet? Think I'll try that next.

Seth Rollins is also my tag partner and he hates me too. God knows what I'm doing to annoy him but we're battering whoever we fight.

Actually PTP dropped the belts to Gold/Stardust, I'm waiting until I'm #1 contender to get into a rivalry with them. I'm currently in my second rivalry with The Ascension. I've moved up to the #4 spot at this point. It seems I get about one rank increase per pay per view. I should be the #1 contender and have the belts by the weekend. I'll update how everything goes once I get the belts.

I can't confirm whether the glitch has been fixed but it did not work for me I had to go through the ranks entirely and feud with the current champions to get the belts. In all this took 6 or 7 pay per views to go from 10 to Champion.

I'm glad you got it and I'm willing to update my guide if more people confirm it no longer works. A couple people saying they couldn't get the glitch to work isn't enough. I need more data.

I actually got this yesterday through the glitch. Ambrose and I were rank nine and we faced uso's rank five and we won the titles.

Yeah I'm not having any luck with getting this via the glitch. Fought rivals New Day twice at PPV and no title. Tried the Usos too (as DavidDoes said he got it from them), with no achievement after PPV win.

One thing me and Cheerios have in common is that we both have Seth Rollins as our tag partner. It's possible that having him as your partner makes this glitch not work.

The glitch just happened for me, I had Rusev as my tag team partner and we were only position 6, and locked into a rivalry with The Ascension who were not the champions. We won the match and we were given the titles.

Just got the achievement (October, 1st) and the glitch still works. Teamed up with Rusev while running for the US Championship. As I got the title, moved to the Tag Team Championship and started a rivalry with Jey Uso. At the PPV I was number 9 in the ranking. Won the PPV against the Usos and got the titles.

@SGunDiplomacy Was Seth Rollins your tag partner when you got the glitch to work? I'm asking because if so it kills my theory.

The glitch worked for me as of November 12, 2016. I teamed up with Sting, started a rivalry with Xavier Woods, defeated Xavier Woods and R Truth in a tag team match in the PPV event and won the tag team titles. Xavier Woods and R Truth weren't even the tag team champions.

Worked for me today, I started a feud with Big E and the next PPV I had a match against him and Kofi (they were ranked 4th at the time). Didn't say anything about the match being for the titles, but when we won we were handed the belts and the achievement unlocked when the loading screen hit.

Confirming this still works. Fueded with Jimmy Uso at MITB with the Rock as my partner, won the match and popped the cheevo.

So the glitch worked for me, I’m tag team champion but the achievement didn’t pop. Does anybody have any suggestions or has this happened to anybody?

Unsurprisingly the glitch still works as of September 15th, 20022. Fought Truth and Consequences who were rank 8 at hell in a cell won and got the titles

I'm climbing the division at a snail's pace. Rollins started running in on my matches and built up a good rapport, allowing me to select him as a tag partner and enter the tag division. We got to rank 9, then it put me in random singles matches for months.

Because of this, our "friendship" or whatever the blue meter is that determines allies depleted to nothing, however, he's still my tag partner. After a random match on Smackdown against John Cena, a singles match, our ranking increased from 9 to 8. My next match is a random fatal four way at Night of Champions with Bray Wyatt, Dean Ambrose, and Daniel Bryan.

I have no idea what is going on and/or how to actually win the tag belts. Should I enter another division and try to find a new tag partner, then re-enter? Any help is greatly appreciated!

I think it might have been fixed. I'm having a hell of a time with this achievement. Seth Rollins is my tag partner but he pretty much hates me. We have moved up to rank 6 but it's taken three months in-game to get that far.

I tried to do the trick with The New Day but for whatever reason it gave me a feud with The Lucha Dragons instead...Anyways completed that rivalry and no achievement yet. At this point I'm going to keep going and keep slowly moving up it will eventually give me #1 Contender and I'm sure at that point things will work fine. But this will definitely be the longest title run without the glitch.

6 September 2019; 07:01 am. Rank 9 in tag ladder during career. Entered rivalry with The Rock as tag partner, after attacking Heath Slater during entrance of his singles match. Heath Slater and Zack Ryder tag partners at rank 5 or 6. Few more tag matches got me to rank 7, with a few singles matches mixed in. Final rival fight at Hell in a Cell. Not main event match. Third match in line up. Won match and the titles. Heath Slater and Zack Ryder kicked to rank 10. Original tag champions, Prime Time Players, rank 1. Achievement popped.

Glitch still works as of March 4th 2020. I allied with Big Show. Then the next show Xavier Woods attacked me during my entrance. I feuded with him and R-Truth (Ranked #8). Then at the next PPV, which was Night of Champions for me, we had a tag match against them and after we won the cut scene celebration had Big Show and I holding the tag belts and a few seconds later the achievement popped. So #10 Ranked team beat #8 ranked and become champs in less than a month in the career mode.

P.S.- DO NOT USE SETH ROLLINS! I made that mistake and I seemed to never reach the top rankings for some reason and the glitch never happened. So Be sure to pick someone other than Rollins and the glitch should work and save a lot of time.

It worked. It took a while but it worked. The game seems to act strange when you are in the tag division, almost like it's not properly coded and doesn't really know what it's doing.

After Stardust ran in on me, I locked into that rivalry, then never wrestled him again! Instead, it made me fight Kidd & Cesaro for weeks, complete with pre and post match cutscenes against them, until I beat them at the PPV (all the while being technically locked in against Stardust). Once I beat Kidd and Cesaro the final time, the Stardust feud that never actually happened ended and his heat with me went back down to neutral.

From there, assuming because it was close to WrestleMania, it auto-locked me into a feud where it was me and Sting vs Triple H... and my tag partner, Seth Rollins. I guess this was because I was face at the time? I'm not sure, the game changes me from face to heel and back again more times than the Big Show, and I'm not changing anything up in regards to how I'm playing. Anyway, I fought them all the way through to the PPV, beat them, and Seth remained my partner. He even ran in on my match in support of me the next night. Thanks buddy. Way to forget that we fought quicker than WWE wanted everyone to forget the Submission Sorority and MexAmerica this year!

I played a few more matches hoping to run in on one of the Prime Time Players as we are now the #1 contenders, but never had the chance because they were always in tag matches. Eventually, it set me up in a singles match against Titus where Darren Young ran in on me. I locked in the rivalry with Young and eventually beat them at Payback for the Tag Titles.

It took almost two in-game years, but I finally managed to grab the ever illusive tag belts through a chaotic and pointless journey that sadly rivals some actual WWE storylines as of late. Hopefully if anyone else is having a similar issue they can make sense of all of the nonsense that I had to endure and use it as a roadmap to get to that championship match.

Yup, same for me (yesterday, so 30th of September), and I will try to be as detailed as possible. At first, when I tried to tackle the Tag team championships (with Seth Rollins), it did not trigger (I remember getting up to rank 7 or 8 en having two or three rivalries within the tag team rankings). When it was Royal Rumble time I switched to the WWE Championship rankings to get the RR match spot. I won the Royal Rumble and faced for the championship and won.

Immediately after this, I switched back to the team rankings (still teaming with Seth) and at the first Raw (not sure, but I don't know if you can get attacked on SD!) after switching I got attacked by Xavier Woods (who was still a team with R-Truth). After did I was put in a bunch of matches with the members of The Ascension (even though I was feuding with Xavier). At the PPV (with entrances on) I faced The Ascension and my hopes were true, it was "for the WWE Tag Team Championships (The New Day were the real champs btw), I was rank 10 at the time btw. I won and the achievement popped.
