How to unlock the That Was My Everest achievement in Xbox Fitness - Definitive Guide

I'm not 100% on whether or not I had any progress on this pre-patch, but since then I've done the P90X Plyometrics workout a few times, the Insanity Plyometrics Cardio Circuit twice, and the Mossa Fight workout every day. For those who want a really fun workout with music that really gets you pumped, I can't recommend the Mossa Fight workout enough. It also nets you, on average, a 5% bump in your progress toward the achievement.

5% average? After countless attempts in P90X I tried the Mossa and can only get 3% at max per workout. Even with 5 stars. I think the game (or the lousy Kinect recognition) totally hates me ... I'm now at 68% and at the point of unlocking the achievement, I sould be in shape like Tony Horton himself -.-

You could always just skip to the workouts that involve jumping, squating and climbing in order to save time/energy.

Which is better, Mossa Fight 1 or 2? I've done the first one a couple of times but I've never done the second, so I don't know the difference between the two.

Also, not sure if everyone knows this. But if you have the Xbox One smartglass app, you can view your achievements for each game and some of them show your % toward completion. I've only noticed it with this achievement in particular.

It's a great way to keep track of how you do each session on terms of stars and FP's.

Yeah, but it was too clunky for me. Hopefully it'll be better with the new update.

@ lone wolf, the 2nd workout feels like there are more jumping moves but I just did the 1st and 2nd fight workout back to back days and the 1st one netted me a 3% bump and the 2nd netted me a 2% bump. and both of my last attempts were my 2nd time doing both workouts.

I have never been close to a 5% bump after a single workout, but are there any better options than the mossa fight ones? how much does the p90x and insanity plyometrics boost your progress in a single workout?

need to finish before December!

@roguegambit

I've done the P90x Plyometrics and had a 7% bump the first time. And only 4% every time since then. Maybe try that and remember to conserve your energy for the jumping and squatting ones.

@WAR Psyco - Can confirm that you can repeat the same drill over and over while staying in the same workout, achievement will still track. At the moment I'm using Drill 1 (Jump Rope) on Killer Buns and Thighs Level 1 (30 Secs.) There are probably better drills you could use this way though. I think this is a better way to go than doing full workouts as not every drill in a workout is going to count towards the achievement.

@FuzzyFridayz - Do you know any drill for a climbing section? I can't find it but i think it's easier thn jump or squat.

Fuzzy Fridays, how many drills of jump rope did it take you for each percentage point?

@EDOARDO1 - Only thing I'v seen are "Mountain Climbers" in workout mentioned above, they're kinda tough though not great for grinding.

@JefeGator - I get 1% per 14 drills right now (approx 7mins total). I like to grind with this because its very low impact and non-fatiging.

well climbing refers to anything that mimics the actual movements (therefore, running counts as climbing for this achievement which explains why you get progression when you're only doing a cardio/running exercise)

The killer buns and thighs costs $12 now and the jump rope method isn't even close to as effective as the guy above mentions. I have no idea where his numbers came from but its closer to double those numbers to move 1%.

What about the JJ Watt Stamina and Agility workouts? Stamina has loads of jumps and from memory the Agility one has lots of running on the spot?

I started using mossa grove and just do jumping jacks the whole time and get 4% bump plus 5 stars for the workout.

I started the game yesterday and I have 100% in my progression bar. Obviously I had almost 1 hour of training...

I don't like to play for every achievement and after that erase my progress for this achievement... :/

I started just doing surge 2 in mossa fight
1% for every 7-8 drills, thats about 6-7 min for a jump..... gets tiring though after 2% so might need little breaks

@Fall of Zebes
, can you update your solution now that free with gold exercises doesn't exist?

@Falensarano
solution is the best for free-to-play players, I don't remeber better exercises, but I don't know how many % can you get with these drills

For anyone looking to do this with the very limited selection they offer now, I would recommend Zombies for Xbox Fitness. Both of them seem to consistently get the progress up by 1-2% for me. Other than that, I haven't tried the Athlete fit or the mobility and strength training exercises. So if anyone knows if they are indeed better let me know.

At no point am i suggesting that you cheat on this achievement since there is no way to do it.

The fastest way to do it is obviously workout. BUT, if you are going for the achievement SPECIFICALLY then you want to start on Mossa Fight #1: Fight Sequence 5, Round 2 and 3.

Rounds 2 and 3 are jumping rounds that are 24 seconds long each. 48 seconds total. When the round ends simply press start and return to Round 2.

I averaged 43 jumps total each set.
It took me 5-6 rounds/average 250-260 jumps total to move it 1%... Yes, 1%

The first time it moved 1% i got 240 jumps, so jumping higher obviously moves it faster but it will tire you out since i PUT all my effort in jumping as high as possible as fast as possible.

What I did was simply jumped and swung my arms up and down for the momentum. The kinect will count your score so I am assuming that helps out to since you cannot simply slack on it.

With my calculations it will take you 24,000 jumps for this achievement, luckily i am at 95% for this achievement at this time so my calculations are correct since i started counting at 90%.

Meaning it will take you 240,000 jumps for Peak Performance (100km)

So, again, if you just want to work out your legs for LEG DAY, do this method.

Once you finish it you will have the LEGS of STEEL!!!!!

Best of luck. dance

*This method works for me and I am 5'9" and my kinect did not give me issues. So the numbers will probably vary on that and how your kinect picks you up.
