How to unlock the Lemur Neeson achievement in Armello - Definitive Guide

Recommended: Amber

Do every quest that will reward you with a follower, boost the required stats with spells to improve your chances of success.

Finding a follower is hard, but finding the same one twice it's borderline madness. So after questing go and Explore, look for him, find him and recruit him.

Alternatively, and maybe even easier, you can have your follower stolen with Bribery, and then Bribery him back. To do this I'd recommend playing heroes with high Wits such as Mercurio, cycle quickly through the Trickery deck until you find Bribery and find at least one follower, then hope that somebody else will get jealous of your follower and Bribe him.

To get this achievement you have to recruit a follower that you had already recruited in the same game. If you had the card stolen from your hand (Merry Thieves, Glamour, etc) and then steal the card back it doesn't count.

Okay, I've been trying to get it for my alt, and have come close on my last 3 attempts with Barnaby. If you can get him with a spy glass and lantern for exploring, and weapons for fighting, with a Teleport for getting to the bribery location, that works best.

Burning thru cards once you get your card is one thing, but I tried using Mercurio or Zosha, only to have Wake the Trees strip my best cards before I can use them.

Don't forget to check your own settlements for Bribery Traps. Last game I knew Mercurio had a card, and was next to him, but he didn't have gold. He explores a dungeon, places it on my Settlement, which Zosha then runs into with no Troop to steal. She then runs to the King and kills him on day 5. I made it too easy for them.

If you find a Bribery Card, before someone steals your Troop, quit the game and let the ai have the card. But unfortunately there is no way to game save when the ai takes their turns.

Edit: Well, that it last sentence isn't entirely accurate. I tried two more games with Barnaby. 1st of 2, Zosha used 2 bribery cards on Settlements near Sana even tho Sana had no troop.

2nd of 2, Zosha stole my bard on Day 5, so I think maybe I have enough time to cycle thru to next bribery, but...I hadn't made it to Quest 3, but on Day 6 Brun bursts thru the gates. I tried to game save 4 times, but he was 4 for 4, so I guess he had all 4 quests done. My bad. But he also was with the Rot, and Sana and Zosha were within striking distance (he moves last).

I push down on Left Stick and hope that "Lets get Brun" msg works with ai, but no, Zosha suicides vs me and Sana moves right past Brun all 3 moves. Game over on Night 6. Oh well, I tried. Time for a new adventure. Dungeon 3 Games with Gold out today.

I'm just here to vent, because the ai is frustrating.

One game, I played as Amber, and they give a map to me, Barnaby, and the two Rats with 6 settlements. I start out with bribery in my hand and a lucky 3/10 quest reward of the Blacksmith. As prestige leader, I choose the swap hands option, thinking the ai would steal my Smithy. Nope, scrolling thru the next two cycles, Mercurio bribes the Stranger away from Zosha. Barnaby finishes the game with over 25 gold, both settlements by his base, and they all fought over the 3 near Merc's base (2 with the prestige/gold bonus) until they got bored and suicided vs the kingdom walls last 3 days.

I found all 4 from my quests, tried to pull the kings guards and banes from them, and used expendables to lessen their traps. I ended up having to execute one of my own, Zosha runs thru a dungeon on last day's turn and finds a troop but doesn't equip, so I doubt it was the one I needed anyway, but still. "Equip yer troops, noob." And I get a lucky find on that night's turn from a dungeon, but not lucky enough. Wrong troop.

I'd rather do the River Achievement on my alts. I had a Squire on Mercurio, hoping to find another after he died, but to no avail. Ran into a settlement with 1 hp left and get the Alchemist, "Hey, any of you Bears want to steal him?" Nope. They too busy trying to crash them walls.

Edit: I meant the Apothecary. And this last game, ai Barnaby trolled me, stealing my spy master right before killing the king on 2nd to last day. Unreal.

Final Edit: Endeavor to persevere. I played as Amber, with Merc to the left, Barny to the north, and Zo to the right, 5 settlements, with a dungeon blocking path to my 1st quest to the right.

Starting hand had Roxy's Recruiters, so I spent my money on that and got the explorer. Zo could have gone in as well, but she chose to fight a Bane from the dungeon instead. They both died, as did I, because there was a Guard on my quest and I thought I could force him off, but I spent all my gold on the recruiter (I also had War Horn, Longbow, and later Bastard Sword). I died so many times, so many Banes from that dungeon. Too many, and the rats ambushing me and stealing gold. But Merc stole the Explorer on day 3, and although he also later pulled the Stranger, I was able to get a recruiter card on day 9, and my friend Barny the Troll gave himself and the King +1 health that morning, so after the Stranger joined me, and I bribed the Explorer to return. I never did get to that 1st quest. Martyr'd by the Stranger too many times, and ambushed by banes and rats. Glad that's over with.

I can confirm that the achievement does NOT work with The Stranger if you get him as a follower and he leaves by the random encounter chance. I was hoping to skip a step of needing another player to pull bribery, but that unfortunately is not the case.

I finally got this achievement when an npc used bribery on me and I focused entirely on getting my own bribery card but increasing Wits, burning cards constantly, and pulling new ones from the Trickery deck.

It might possibly be easier if you use the Bandit DLC character Scarlet since she gets a free follower each time you rescue a terrorized village. However, I can verify that you must actually lose the follower first. That is, someone needs to steal (or maybe kill) them before you get them back. If you have a follower, replace them with a different follower, then regain them again you will not earn the achievement.

I lost my follower by failing a bribery peril that had been placed by another player. Then I drew the trickery deck until I got a bribery card of my own. I was able to play it directly to the hero, regaining my follower card. The achievement popped after I re-equiped the follower.

The achievement works when someone bribery The Stranger from you and when u get the stranger back with the random encounter chance (not with a bribery) then the achievemnt should pop, i just got it that way today

So I can For Sure this DOES Work with The Stranger. I don't know how I got him in the first place or how I lost him, but a person stood next to me that had the stranger, he decided to join my party and I got the achievement.

This does not work with the StangerI've gained and lost the The Stranger several times in one game and multiple and still didn't get it.
Other than the glitched 50 wins this is the last achievement I need. So hard!

I managed to get a bribery card fairly early in a game. I decided to keep it and mill the deck until I found another and reloaded the game so I could make it the next card to be drawn from the trickery deck. The AI drew the bribery, took the Stranger from me with it, then I took the Stranger back using the bribery I had kept and it unlocked. Worth noting that I did this on the AIs turn because it was the very last turn for each player. Lucky!

I think the use of scarlet is the best course of option here..as she can go to a terrorized town and get a free follower.. now I just discovered... on single player. You can EDIT the ai teams you are up against... so EDIT them all to have 'RUIN' the artifact that causes them to terrorize the town for +1 Rot level. Then you just basically follow the AI around and get follower after follower.. and then mostly just spam Trickery cards until you get bribery.. rinse and repeat if it doesn't work the first time.

SOLO GUIDE:
After hours and hours of patience and frustration, I finally got my long awaited Lemur Neeson and subsequent Platinum trophy. I did this alone, vs. bots, since I could not find anyone online to boost with me. The strategy above is sound, but I wanted to elaborate on the strategy for those crazy enough to brave this trophy on their own. Here is my strategy (note, it is very similar to the above, so apologies for any redundancy). Also, you will need to quit/reload... a lot:

General Tips:
-The goal is to max out your Wits so as to go through as many trickery cards as possible per turn. To do this, I used Mercurio with the Wits Talisman and any ring you choose (I chose the red one).
-These are the cards you need: Wandering Circus & Rangers
-These are the cards that will help out: Glamour & Teleport
-The trophy will only pop on a regular game; custom games do not work. I learned this the hard way, after pulling off the stunt in a custom game, only to have the trophy not pop at all.
-Avoid fighting unless absolutely necessary.
-You want a minimum of 10 gold on you at all times. A couple of dungeon runs should do the trick.
-At the beginning of each round, look at every settlement and see if there is a new peril on it. Make this routine. More details below.
-If you find that the general circumstances suck, and you are sure it won't work, then start a new game.

Here are the steps:
- Recruit a follower. This should be done as soon as possible, preferably before the start of the 3rd day. The squire follower is cheap, but if you get killed, he disappears, so not ideal. The follower has to be equipped, or this will not work. Once you have a follower equipped, you do not need to look for them anymore.

- Every turn, pull trickery cards. Pull only trickery cards, do not waste your time on the others. You do this until you get the wandering circus card; when you get it, hold on to it for dear life. Do not burn it. Do not use it. Do not lose it. This is where having high wits is crucial; it allows you to cycle through cards faster. Aim for a trickery of 7-8, but the higher the better. If you happen to start off with or pull the Glamour card, hold on to this one as well.

-If you do not pull the wandering circus or glamour card; then spend the turn burning or using all your cards so as to have as empty a hand as possible for the next round. Burn the useless cards on perils or fights.

*If in the process of pulling cards, you get the bribery card; immediately quit and restart. This is important, since you want the AI to pull the card. When you restart, pull all the trickery cards before the bribery card appears. When you restart your save, the order of the cards will not change, so if you pulled the bribery card on your 4th pull, then restart and pull the 3 cards before it and stop and pull magic or item cards instead. Then you need to pay close attention to what cards the AI are pulling once you end your turn; if they pull a trickery card, then they most likely pulled the bribery card.

*You will need to watch to see if the AI places the bribery card on a settlement as a peril. The AI will almost never place the bribery peril on a settlement you own, a settlement that already has a peril, or a settlement that is occupied by a bane/soldier. They will place it on unoccupied settlements, or most likely their own settlement. This means that you need to own the minimal amount of settlements as possible, so as to give the chance for the AI to grab them.

*If you see a settlement with a peril on it; use your rangers card on the settlement to see what peril it is (press square on the settlement), and who the peril belongs to. If it is a King's peril, it will not count. If it is not the Bribery peril, quit and restart, then go over there and get rid of the peril. If there is a bane on the settlement, get rid of the bane. Sometimes, the AI will do this for you.

-If you have identified a settlement with a Bribery peril on it and you know who it belongs too, then you need to guard that settlement at all costs. Do not let any hero on that settlement. Banes and guards are okay, but you will need to fight them off to get to it when the time comes.

-Once you see a settlement with Bribery on it and you know who it belongs to, you have a follower equipped, AND you own the glamour or wandering circus card, then you need to wait and time your strike.

-Wait until the AI that placed the bribery peril is either on a Plains tile or a settlement. Then enter the bribery peril and PURPOSEFULLY LOSE. If you win the peril, then quit and restart. I used cards to raise the difficulty of the peril so as to make sure I lost. Once that is done, immediately use your Wandering Circus card on the AI player; again, the AI HAS to be on a plains tile or a settlement. Keep in mind, Wandering Circus only takes 2 cards from the other player, so there is blind dumb luck involved in this. You can use Glamour as well; this only takes one card, but you can use it on any tile as long as the AI is not in the castle and is not invisible.

-Immediately re-equip the follower, watch the trophy pop, then pass out from exhaustion.

I want to warn you again; this will take HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS AND HOURS before you get the right set of circumstances. Sometimes, you will find the bribery peril, but have no Wandering circus or Glamour cards to use, and vice-versa. With patience though, you will have the right circumstance appear! Good luck to everyone, and message me if you want more details or help boosting!

Undoubtedly Lemur Neeson is the hardest trophy in the game (not counting the unpredictable luck-based encounters). Indeed it is "nearly impossible" alone, and as far as I know, still very quite difficult even when boosting. Recommend have 3+ humans when boosting.

The strategy is this: The person who needs the trophy must recruit a follower, any one is fine. To clarify, 'recruiting' is like equipping but for followers, so you'll have to pay the use cost. The same person(s) must also obtain a card which allows them to steal from a target's hand.

There are two: Glamour, a 'rare' Spell (play to hero) costing 2 magic (suitable for all heroes then) which takes 1 card,
or Wandering Circus, a 'unique' Trickery (play to plains, settlement) costing 2 gold which takes 2 cards. Note that the latter can still be played to hero if they are on the right type of tile.

Anyone who's helping out will need to get Bribery, a 'unique' Trickery (play to hero, settlement) costing 5 gold which takes 1 recruited follower.

The target recruits (equips) the follower, the helper uses Bribery to steal it, then burns every other card in their hand while remaining nearby. They must NOT equip it and must NOT burn it. The target then uses Glamour/Wandering Circus on the helper to steal it back, which is guaranteed if it is the only remaining card in hand; finally they must re-equip it.

If more than one person is seeking the trophy (like at the start of a boosting session), everyone should try to do the first two steps (follower and steal-back card), and anyone not needing the trophy should do the third (hunt Bribery). Once someone has achieved the first two parts (follower and steal-back card) in a match, they're ready, so everyone else should turn selfless and just help look for Bribery.
Hope that helps.

If doing it against bots you could equip a follower and prepare a steal-card-from-hand card as usual, but then you'd just have to wait and hope for someone to use bribery on you, and THEN hope they don't equip the follower AND you get luck to steal the follower back, which would require BOTH them being victim to your card (one is a peril and the other is limited range) AND the right card being chosen (1 random card out of a 4-6 card hand is not good odds).

A very tough trophy to get playing single player, and still tough boosted, but much easier. To get this you will need to have found a follower (easiest done by receiving one as a quest reward) and then drawing nothing but trickery cards in order to find the card Wandering Circus:

This card allows you to take 2 cards from an opponent’s hand. You will then need another player to keep picking trickery cards in order to get the card Bribery, this card allows them to steal a recruited follower (a follower you have equipped):

Once you both have these cards, have the one player use bribery to steal the follower, burn the rest of the cards in their hand and then the other player uses Wandering Circus to claim the follower back and re-equip it.

You can also do this with a few other cards, for example one player can use bribery to steal the follower and equip it, then the other player can use another bribery card to steal the follower back and equip it again. There is also a spell card called Glamor which allows you to steal one card from a player’s hand, but we suggest drawing nothing but trickery cards as you will have double the chance of receiving the cards you need.

This is best done using characters with high Wits, such as Mercurio and Zosha, as the amount of wit you have is the number of cards you can have in your hand.

You need to lure your follower with the Bribe card, after which you must return him using the glamor card or traveling circus. Ai also use a bribe, but they can immediately appropriate a follower.
