How to unlock the The Curtain Falls achievement in Batman: Arkham Knight - Definitive Guide

I want to give you my guide and advice for this achievement. Read below for the greatest tip I've developed that helped me complete the achievement.

I suggest that you know these things for each battle.

- Round one: Novice. Play normally, evade, block, no special moves necessary.
- Round two: Easy. Knives usually present. But still an easy battle. There is likely one medic you should focus on to kill.
- Round three: Moderate. There are usually stun baton guys who can end your run quickly. Be careful and use caution when dealing with. I suggest evading a lot and staying on the outside.
- Round four: Hard. There are a lot of enemies that will surround you, for everyone but Catwoman, there will be brutes. Eliminate them first. Then focus on medics. For Batman, you have many options to disarm, use that as often as possible after taking out the brutes. For Nightwing, you don't have disarm, take out the brutes with special combo takedown. Then stun and aerial attack the shields. For Catwoman, you have a lot of shields to deal with. Use your aerial attack for them and as soon as you get enough combo, use your crowd control ground spin (A+B), this special move throws a lot of enemies off guard. For Robin, you have two brutes, shields, and medics. I suggest dealing with brutes right away. Shields will swarm you so don't forget your aerial attack, but then focus on the medics.

Here is my ultimate tip. Once you're frustrated and understand what will spawn, switch into detective mode during your battles. You will immediately be taken out of detective mode if you're ever touched and didn't realize it, and it reduces so many distractions. It's basically fighting in wireframe mode.

The low color, X-ray vision shows knives as red, medics as complete yellow guys, and shields as big red shields. The brutes are hard to pick out on detective vision, but are notably larger. Stun batons don't show well so don't use detective vision on round three.

I beat every character using detective mode. It removes distractions and makes you focus on just a few colors.

I hope you all like this solution. I don't contribute often.

Just to clarify for some people that have asked this - you need to compete EVERY round in ONE simulation with Perfect Freeflow to get this achievement. I had on a dozen or more occasions over the last day or so freeflowed the first 3 rounds with Catwoman and on a separate simulation last night perfect freeflowed the 4th (after failing in the 3rd) and the achievement didn't pop - it was only tonight after I faultlessly cleared all 4 rounds in succession that the cheevo popped - It sure was tough (for me at least) but patience and sore throat sweets (from the angry shouting) helped a bit ;-)

Fine guide, I did not use detective mode as it was pretty easy to see if I messed up, I just looked at the "Flawless" bonus after each round. In the last round I usually just ran to the other side (they won't hit you) to get away from the brutes and get some damage on the medcis.

Once you get used to fighting it's pretty easy to achieve this, however, Robin sucks! Spent hours, days to do it with him. The rest were on the first few tries.

Good luck out there! smile

All those things napoearth listed happened to me multiple times. Such a frustrating achievement. Finally got it last night and am so relieved. My tip - evade (A, A) a lot in round 4 and stay on the outside. Jump into the middle of the fray and you're going to get hit.

Also, great tip about detective mode. For the guys, detective mode worked great, however Catwoman's detective mode didn't help me at all in round 4. During the chaos I had an easier time making out who had a shield and who didn't when not in detective mode.

So the wording of this achievement is bullshit? The way it's worded it shouldn't matter if we clear each round on separate attempts, but it actually does require you to do them all in one run of the challenge - just like The Chill in the Air.

Definelty had the most trouble with Robin. Batman was right about him being slow... omg but this tip did help change up the pace when I was getting frustrated so thanks for the help!

As a tip from me what I found worked best was to leave at least a pair of the brutes in round 4. I then took out the medics and most of the other guys before taking the brutes out. This way it was the brutes who were trying to hit me, who were much easier to dodge. I lost count of how many cheap hits I was getting from a shield guy or someone who slid across the room to hit me, but leaving the brutes is what finally worked.

This achievement is complete bs. Only got nightwing left to do and goons just sliding in from miles away and hitting me whilst im in the middle of an aerial attack. Or nightwing going a completely different direction from what i push to attack a shield and break my combo.

Can somebody clarify this to me? For this achievement you need to make a perfect 4 rounds with every character the same attempt? Or do they can hit you between tries and void this?

It doesn’t have to be consecutive. You can do one character perfect four rounds in one attempt, then take a few attempts with the next character to get four perfect rounds in one attempt and so on. As long as each character’s perfect four rounds are in one go per character.

Just got this but in my opinion Batman’s was the hardest followed by Robin, I think those two combined took me around 3 hours each. I did Catwomen and Nightwing in a hour, very strange as I thought they would have been the longest for me.

I wished this achievement had a track/progression showing. I swear I did all 4 characters with Perfect FreeFlow but no achievement popped. I’m gonna retry it as much is annoying :/

Edit-
It ended up popping after 13 hours. It’s buggy and delay so don’t lose hope if you think messed up or have to retry again!

I'm sorry this is a great solution, I just need to vent before I shatter my controller. I've successfully done this with Batman and Robin, working on Nightwing now (really not looking forward to Catwoman).

Sometimes the enemies who are showing the blue aggro attack, sometimes they don't. Sometimes they stay in place and swing where they are, sometimes they slide across the arena to hit you. Sometimes they swing in slow-motion and give you plenty of time to counter, sometimes they swing at full speed. Sometimes they wait for you to finish your attack before attacking, sometimes they launch their attack so that it hits you the second you're vulnerable and have no opening to dodge or counter. You push in the direction of an enemy to attack, and despite having 4 other enemies in the same direction between you and the brute/shield/shock baton thug, your character decides to fly straight to the one who's going to break your combo. You go for an evade, but even though there's a thug right next to you that can be vaulted over, your character does a normal dodge roll and ends your combo. Sometimes a thug revs up to charge you, so you hit LT to take them out, and they just decide "nah nevermind, I'mma stand right here and not move instead," so you drop your combo. FUCK THIS ACHIEVEMENT.

Catwoman is by FAR the hardest. The brutes are easy compared to having like 8 shield guys. Batman is the easiest since you can just use B+Y to take out brutes and X+Y to take out the shield guy shields permanently. I think it took me 2-3 tries with batman, several with Robin, only a handful with nightwing, but I swear I have tried like 10 times with catwoman only to get screwed by something stupid every single time.

There are just way too many people with Catwoman and they just take forever to die. If you use A+B for crowd control, it doesn't help that much because only half of the time the shield guys drop their shields and someone just picks it right up anyways. This is so stupid. The shields were the dumbest thing to be added to the game unless you're able to X+Y them away.

I think the number of shield guys is random on Catwoman's last round because I just did a round where there were only two shield guys... then got randomly swiped by a knife guy after dodging...

I ended up getting it on a four-shield run. I don't like that that's random because that's where all the difficulty is for her...

Talk about demoralizing. Got all the way to the last enemy with nightwing...standard thug, no shield...I'm five feet to his left...my strike whiffs in front of his face because he decided to do the charge move with the red indicator even though he's close enough to spit on. Man!

Gonna get it. The wireframe tip is EVERYTHING for round 4, it's so important for picking off the medics and avoiding attacking into shields by mistake.

Edit: After finishing Nightwing, something I noticed about Round 3...the enemies are so aggressive here that they can actually punch you out of the air while you are mid-evade...and I believe that is a level of aggression that they can get into in Round 4 once the Brutes are gone, so I echo those that say to keep one Brute around to the end even though I HATE them and the timing of their attacks...if you are making sure to evade after every action and you are evading away from them you should be okay...but if the whole team goes full aggro you might get hit with a random, unavoidable hit from a regular thug.

Okay, got it done. As I thought, round 4 was much easier without any brutes for Catwoman.

I stand by the most important tip for this is to always cue up an evade after any offensive attack. The AI is far too aggressive and numerous to risk anything else.

I know this was meant to be challenging, but I get so frustrated about the countless cheap, bullshit ways that I have lost my free flow in the fourth round after rather effortlessly clearing the first three. Such as: aiming at an unarmed guy to hit and the character glides past him and hits a shield guy/brute. Aiming at an unarmed guy and a shield guy sprints 5 meters to get between us after I press the attack button. Jumping a guy and getting punched immediately in the back of the head upon landing with no apparent "blue lightning bolts" and before I can even push a button. Punching the air when there is clearly a guy right in front of me. Trying to jump a guy and doing a flip in the air right next to the guy I aimed at. The random two hit combo from one press of cn_X Accidentally doing an aerial attack on a non-shield guy. Robin is absolute trash on this one.

So, I'm perfectly capable of getting to Round 4 and dealing with the brutes but then every single time, I get hit by a henchman who practically glided across the map to hit me, without a counter sign. Or the free flow combat just sends me into someone with a shield or stun stick. Or enemies go to hit me and I hit counter, but then they do nothing and I lose my combo

It almost feels like the game is actively working against me

The first 3 rounds are a piece of cake. The last round is just horrible for keeping up a combo safely. The games targeting is so bad, it will often lock you onto a shield guy or a brute. I try and jump over a brute to start, attack a normal goon to build up a x5 combo and every time you get a chance do a takedown on a brute until there is none left. Then work on the shield guys.

I did this as Batman today after SO many attempts, but I knew Batman's would be the easiest because I could break objects like shields thankfully. I'm really struggling with this as Robin at the moment. I hate this achievement.

NOTE: Monarch Theatre must be completed using Batman, Robin, Nightwing, and Catwoman. There is not a tracking feature in the Achievements application for this achievement, so you will have to keep track yourself.

This achievement is pretty straightforward, but a bit hard. I actually did not find this one to be as tough as the "The Chill in the Air" achievement, even though "The Curtain Falls" requirements appear more difficult at face value. The most important part of pursuing this achievement is obviously not breaking your combo meter streak.

You can get hit during this challenge, only if it occurs before you start your streak!

If you break your streak during the fight, restart. You can double check your progress by seeing if you receive the "Perfect FreeFlow" bonus at the end of each round.

The enemy layout for Batman and Nightwing are the same (standard enemies for the first four rounds, one medic in Round 2 and Round 3, and then two medics and four Brutes in Round 4.) The enemy layout for Robin and Catwoman are quite easier and I had no trouble completing their portion of the achievement, mainly due to the fact that Robin has to face only two Brutes, according to a former TA member, and Catwoman has to face none, according to Bikelund, in Round 4.

I have included some generic combat tips below.

Use Evade (cn_A+cn_A) often. It is very helpful and can be used to dodge the majority of the attacks thrown at you.

Countering (cn_Y) is essential as well, but be wary of the Blade Dodge Takedowns. They can be useful for quickly dispatching enemies, but they also leave you exposed for easy hits if you miss the cn_Y button hold and releases. Use them at your own discretion.

In the last round, you will face Brutes that have either Blade, Electricity, or Shield abilities. Make sure to use a Combat Takedown (cn_B+cn_Y when your combo meter is full) to efficiently take them out. As shinyshirthero pointed out, it is important to isolate enemies on the outside of the fighting arena, because it is easy to get hit if you spend too much time in the middle.

I would suggest taking out enemies in the following order: (Thank Twobby for reminding me)

Medics, Guns, Shock Batons, Shields, and generic thugs

I would also recommend knocking out the Brutes first since they can hit you quickly, but they're also not too bad to leave until the very end.

If you have any other tips or you spot any mistakes, let me know in the comments. Thanks and best of luck!

Can't get past round 4. Use to be so much better at this when the game came out. All these DLCs I've just rushed through to get the cheevos which were for the most part pretty easy. This DLC is different...gonna have to get back into the swing of things for this one and the chill one.

It took me over an hour to get past Round 4 with Nightwing. I don't know why, but he seems so clunky to me. Best of luck! Practice does indeed lead to success for these two achievements.

I'm still stuck on bats at round 4. Did u keep ur list of moves pretty limited when doing these? Always seem to slip up and target a shield guy accidentally with a strike.

Yeah, I tried to be pretty concise. I mainly use Evade, Strike, Counter, Weapon Disarm, and Combat Takedown. Don't be afraid to use Evade an almost excessive amount to re-position yourself for a better angle of attack. I slipped up on Shield guys a lot, too. I tried to save them for last or at least until I could destroy their shields.

This fight system is so random and clunky, sometimes counters wont work and sometimes evades don't cancel all enemy attacks, every button press is a lottery.

I've done a perfect free flow for bats in every round but not consecutively in one play. Any idea if this counts still? Also how do you deal with shield guys as catwoman/robin/nightwing without a disarm?
0
0
By IronLegion53 on 28 Jan 2016 23:01
I am not sure if it still counts if you do them at different points in time. I would recommend trying to do it all at once just to be sure. I would just use the Combat Takedown (B+Y) to take them out. It's not as effective as completely destroying the shield, but it helps.

I'm just trying to confirm on whether or not you need to do all 4 rounds one after the other w the perfect free flow for it to count. Or can you say get a perfect free flow with robin in round 1,2,3 on one play through and then round 4 on another play and have it register?

Requiem is pretty tough, but it's very doable. It only took me and hour or so to complete it. There's a great solution for it by ScorchPSO that I would recommend checking out. As long as you're able to rack up a 300+ hit streak, it's not hard to defeat Killer Croc.

By NJStalderXB on 05 Feb 2016 12:09
If by Disarm you mean the Disarm Takedown, then you can't. Batman is the only character (to my knowledge) that has the ability to Destroy weapons using (cn_X + cn_Y) when the Combo Meter is full.

By NJStalderXB on 06 Feb 2016 01:47
I spent 7 hours trying to complete Catwoman's quarter of the credit. I'm under the impression that the counter prompts speed up during the final wave. I can't defend myself in any way because it takes so long to swing a punch that a thug can wind up and hit me in that amount of time. The shield bearers attack twice as fast as a normal enemy too. These last 3 achievements are exponentially more difficult that anything I have ever accomplished on the Xbox One. I broke a plate and busted up my hand. I'm probably not far from passing away from a brain aneurysm.

I am really struggling with this, which is unusual as I ordinarily sail through FreeFlow challenges.

I completed the challenge perfectly with Batman first time, but have been attempting this with Robin for three hours to no avail. I get to the fourth round every time, but I always lose my combo inexplicably. It's driving me nuts...

I appreciate the advice and your solution was very helpful but for whatever reason Catwoman refused to work for me (got it done finally). My issue entirely stemmed from the game either targeting the wrong guys, suddenly dropping combos (at one point she actually punched the air in front of a guy a foot away and broke the combo rather than hit him), odd counter issues (especially during the fourth wave, got so bad I decided to avoid all counters during that wave) and sometimes even refusing to do takedowns. Bloody hell if this is the same issue Nightwing is having it's going to be a nightmare. Weird because I've never had these issues with freeflows in the past. Anyway good solution all around.

Appreciate the compliment! The fighting mechanics can be a bit buggy, especially for Nightwing (took me forever with him!) but enough practice should even things out. I wish everyone moved as smoothly as Batman does.

By Mr Peanutbubber on 16 Feb 2016 16:19
See that's what is weird to me. I got Nightwing's done in four gos (I was really surprised) and Robin's in six. Batman took about fifteen attempts (or more, too much fun destroying weapons) but it was Catwoman that was killing me. Maybe all that practice with Catwoman's buggy controls gave me enough of a feel to ace the hard ones also I wanted to point out that the waves are exactly the same for all the characters except for their last wave. Anyway thanks again for the guide.

For the last round with Batman, Robin and Nightwing don't take down immediately all the brutes, leave alive one because imho normal enemies get more aggressive when all the brutes are out of the battle.

I'm devastated. I finally completed all four characters today and the achievement didn't pop. I finished Nightwing forth today with "perfect knight" bonus at the end and "perfect freeflow" after every round. I'm not saying the achievement is bugged just curious if anyone else had problems or there is a way to determine for sure once you have met the requirements with a character. I know that it does not track progress in the achievement app or anything like that, but maybe there is some special type of bonus after completing round 4? I guess I have to go back and do it all over again. :(

Just thought I would add for anyone interested in this game, it has a great story but combat in this game is fucking atrocious compared to the other Arkham games, especially for characters other than Batman. Inputs are often unresponsive, randomized character animations result in varying delays inserted in combos, broken hit boxes, poor targeting with the joystick, and even spamming AA to jump over enemies can't even avoid hits on round 4 a lot of the times. You can practice all you want, but this achievement just comes down to luck of the AI, I have completed all other Arkham games: this one's combat is significantly worse.

Use Evade a lot and try to stay around the perimeter of the fight. Pick up some hits on the grunts and then slowly take out the bigger threats (medics, Brutes, any grunt with a weapon) one at a time. It can be quite tedious, but it works!

For my own sanity, that previous comment of mine was originally targeted for https://www.trueachievements.com/NovaGhostZero.htm but I used "parameter" instead of "perimeter" in my statement. Apparently correcting it send the comment to the bottom. I doubt this solution still gets many views, but in case it does, I wanted to clarify things!

I can confirm you must get flawless free flow in every round in one play through. Had all but cat woman done. Did first three flawless, then got hit in fourth round, but finished. Then got hit in third and finished fourth flawless. Then did all 4 flawless in a row, and it popped.

This game cheats in so many ways. It makes this achievement purely luck based. What a shitload of whorecrap they throw at you. Dysfunctional targeting system, cheap shots when you can't move, never stopping rotating camera. I will get this eventually, finished it with batman and will finish it with the remaining 3 characters. What a fucking absurd achievement this is!

This was cake after mastering the evade technique for The Chill in the Air.

Now I just need Requiem for a Killer, and after that all the rest of the achs I have left should be very simple.

Got a pretty simple tip that I think will work for these 3 hard achs in this DLC, never counter, always just use the AA evade, do a single action, evade, do another single action, evade, and etc.

When I was trying to counter, they would often fail, or the enemy would stop attacking, and you'd be left trying to counter the air, and lose the combo.

Yesterday I posted I didn't get the achievement, well today I did. Wanted to post a little about it so people would have a little more info on it if they were having problems with it unlocking. I was certain that after completing Nightwing last night I would have met the requirements with all four characters, I either was wrong (which is far more likely) or by completing it a second time with Robin it finally unlocked. While the final score means nothing I did have 106k-103k with all characters besides Robin. I was simply using evades and combat takedowns with counters thrown in. If you are playing with the same style and have a huge point difference it may be that character you retry with first. It is just a suggestion. I did have a wildly different score with Robin, but that may be because of the enemy composition? I scored 83k with him the first time I did this and only 66k with him just a few minutes ago. I was certain to check for "perfect freeflow" and "perfect knight" bonuses. Hopefully it helps anyone as sad as I was last night. Good luck!

Oh, and CpNx MaYxDayx, great guide and thanks for checking in on it and helping people. Keep up the good work!

You still have to be smart with your evasions. You cant do two in a row without hopping an enemy...and the tracking isnt always the best. You also have to make sure you rapidly evade away from aggressive enemies, as I was punched out of the air multiple times in round 3.

For this solution you should probably stress that for every character in round 4 it's essential to jump around like a possessed acrobat with aa and get on the outside to get people on their own. When you have a 5 combo built up by all means take out a brute with b+y but then immediately vault and get back out.

If you are in the middle of the circle even for a second you risk getting spammed by an almost unblockable triple counter (I don't know why it's unblockable) but trust me after failing a stupid amount of times just to basic attacks go with safety first.

If you are in the middle at all you WILL get hit when you will be unable to counter sooner or later.

It seems obvious but until I learnt to literally vault two or three times out to the edge to Single isolated guys I would fail again and again.

I found this achievement to be horrific and I really hope this comment helps someone go through half the hundreds of restarts I had on all characters.

I'm half way through Curtain Falls and Chill In The Air - just got NW and CW to do - I do recomend having a few "goes" of playing through ALL rounds even if you failed in round 1, 2 or 3 and the reason for this is to stop "nerves" setting in when suddenly the difficulty ramps up as it does in the final round - I found that once I had actually managed a perfect freeflow in the final round it made me more confident and positive overall in achieving success and you will have more enjoyment instead of a nervous grind - as has already been mentioned above it would appear the thugs' attack speed increases in the final round (remember the "aggressive" setting in Arkham City?) and countering can be very tricky especially in the centre of the fight; sometimes you see a counter warning and can react and others you're hit as the warning shows (and you've probably had times where theres been no warning ;-)...) although it may be game lag that causes this - definitely keep to the outside and perhaps keep a Brute alive because the thugs go apeshit when theres no Brutes around making life extremely difficult - also I would recommend doing one character at a time for both Curtain Falls and Chill In The Air because you will hone your skills and get used to the thug set for that character - this sure helped me with Robins amount of shields in the final round

Thanks to the other solution authors. This solution describes some concepts I noticed while working on this achievement:

1) Perfect Freeflow bonus: Be very mindful that this bonus appears after each round. Even if you know you performed a continuous combo, make sure this bonus appears on your results each time. On one of my rounds, I had a continuous combo but didn't get the bonus for some reason. I'm unsure if my combo just reset or I did something else to invalidate the combo, but i did get a No Hit bonus for that round. If you don't see Perfect Freeflow, then restart.

2) Pulling aggro: I believe this is what generates what we describe as "inconsistency" or "bs". "Aggro" is when an enemy attacks you. The AI decides which enemies will use which attacks. This happens after particular circumstances, most notably when the player completes an attack or the player is idle. The key is to watch for tells. You can see where the aggro is coming from because enemies will run at you. If you dodge away from the mob, you'll have more time to identify the tell. The tell is the precursor to the actual indicator for the counter attack (the bolts over the enemies heads). Also, as some have mentioned in other solutions, leaving one of the big brutes is a fantastic idea because it seems that so long as the player is pulling aggro, the rest of the mob is idle/posturing. So when you get near a brute, he is prioritized to attack, you know this, he attacks, you increase your distance from him, and then his attack lasts considerably longer than normal enemies. You can use all that time to build a special take-down and go for the medics or enemy of your choice.

3) Perimeter engagement: The most dangerous place to be is in the center of the mob. Ideally, you want to attack enemies on the outside of the mob. Clearly single-out each target so you know which button to press. Sometimes you can dodge completely away from the mob into empty space. This creates distance and time to plan your next move. I saw this concept in a youTube video and at first I thought the player was just being boring, but now I understand they didn't trust the enemies to behave like normal. So perimeter engagement becomes the resort. It takes away from the flow but it's much more reliable.

4) Special take-down recovery: There were a few stinging, startling failures that drove me to always mash A when finishing the animation of a special take-down.

5) Lingering indicators: While performing the above concepts, you'll notice some lingering aggro indicated by enemies just standing there with bolts over their heads. I learned not to trust their compatibility with the Y button. Just keep to the perimeter and stick to the plan.

I think once the player understands these concepts, then they have a good foundation to make an attempt. I feel every attempt I made before understanding these concepts was feeble or lucky. I thought I had completed all 4 characters but my achievement wasn't unlocked so I started to suspect a glitch but I think i missed a bonus with Catwoman. I repeated completions for each character and in doing so, realized how incredibly difficult it was to learn how to make a good attempt versus just brute force trying without thinking about it. The enemies in round 4 feel different than any other part of the game. Understanding why and how to fight in that round is the opposite of assuming it's bs. It's still bs but i know how to get through it and I hope this helps you get through! Simulation complete.

"The enemies in round 4 feel different than any other part of the game"

Truest statement ever.

You literally have to evade before performing any action if you want to succeed. I lost my combo on the very last enemy cause he was just standing there ready to get pummeled 5 feet away, but he transitioned into a "charge" for some reason and my last attack didn't track him.

Just don't give up...this challenge is hateful but possible with focus and determination.

I would only add that special combo group attacks are super useful here, specially with robin, nightwing and catwoman since they can't disarm thugs. With robin the cn_Y + cn_X skill almost always knocks the shielded guys to the ground and makes them drop the shield. With catwoman cn_A + cn_B does the break-dance looking move with the whip that also makes them drop shields. Nightwing has the worst in my opinion. it's cn_Y + cn_X and he throws the stick and it bounces from thug to thug but it doesn't affect the shielded dudes. It does work against the shock baton wielding thugs though.

On Monarch Theatre, each character will face off against four increasingly difficult waves of enemies. The final wave for each character will differ slightly, though take the following into account:

  • In the first round, it's just a few standard thugs.
  • In the second round, there are a few standard thugs and one Medic.
  • In the third round, there are a few standard thugs, two Stun Baton thugs, and one Medic
  • In the final round, the enemies will differ for each character, though standard thugs, Medics, and shielded thugs will be present (e.g. There are no Brutes for Catwoman, there are more shields for Robin, etc.)

The key thing with this achievement is that you need to complete all four rounds in one continuous, uninterrupted combo. This means your combo can never break and you cannot get hit. After each round, make sure the bonuses for "No Hits" and "Perfect FreeFlow" are showing up. If you don't see them after a round, restart the challenge.

As always, there's a key tips worth sharing:

  • Evade (A+A, also dubbed "leap frogging") the enemies often.
  • Don't be afraid to counter (Y) enemies rather than leapfrogging away.
  • In the fourth round for all three male characters, prioritize your Combat Takedowns (B+Y) for the Brutes.
  • Use the quickfire Freeze Bomb (RT, RT) while playing as Batman to automatically freeze a Brute in place for a bit.
  • Use Batman's Disarm attack (Y+X) to break shields and stun batons.
  • Focus your attention on Medic thugs first whenever they appear.
  • You can perform an Arial Strike (B+A+A) on shielded thugs, but do not use this on non-shield bearing enemies!!!
  • Know your quickfire gadgets; they can prove to be a tremendous help for crowd control

Like the previous achievement, Batman shouldn't be too hard to master here though Robin, Nightwing and Catwoman are going to be tough, more so in their final round than anything. Remember the basics, stay focused, and make sure to restart the challenge if you aren't getting those two bonuses after each round!

Leave Robin to the sweet spot, he is incredibly clumsy and always does the wrong thing in big combos.

I'll describe how I received it!
The first three rounds are not difficult, we use a jump over the enemy +blow . In the fourth round, we knock out the goon first and use it when we achieve a combo + , since they can throw knocked-out enemies at us, thereby disrupting the combo. Next, we knock out the medics using the same technique so that they do not raise enemies again. Then we jump over the shields and knock out simple unarmed enemies. When they are left alone with shields, we use them on them + and when they are left without a shield, we finish them off.
As Batman, when we play, you can break the weapons of enemies, thereby making the battle easier for yourself, reach the combo counter and press + .

Please note that if at the beginning of the round, while squeezing the square, you struck several blows into the void, and then performed a continuous combo, at the end of the round you will be given points for Perfect Continuous Combat, but this will not count towards the trophy. Feel free to replay if you accidentally beat the air.

I received this trophy last. In my opinion, this is the most difficult achievement; I even knocked out the croque trophy much earlier. In the last round, jump as often as possible, one hit - five jumps to deliver an accurate blow. Robin is really very crooked, he is constantly pulled by a magnet either towards the shocker or towards the shield. Naturally, Batman does this all at once, by breaking weapons and incapacitating downed opponents. Nightwing and Cat aren't great either, but at least they were less of a hassle than Robin.

If you have unfinished first two parts of the game, start with them. After passing the tests in the previous parts, where it is not so difficult to pass them as one gets used to a more dynamic battle, the result: returning to the trophy after 4 years, Nightwing, Robin - on the 1st try, Batman and the cat on the 3rd. Iceberg lounge with 8 attempts.

I can only add that playing as Robin, exclusively as Robin, will cause problems. Apparently because he is still too young and inexperienced I can’t find any other explanation for the 2 hour failures. The combo constantly flies off, then you'll bump into the shield, although the stick is in the other direction, then you'll bump into the shocker, etc., etc. Try to jump over him several times and then strike (on the 4th wave, there should be no problems before that). It also happened very often that they hit from such a distance that you were amazed, you pressed jumps or counterattack and realized that you pressed earlier, and Robin was slowing down. When the last enemies remain, don’t even think about doing a super stun and finishing off on the ground, Robin is not agile and doesn’t jump far, you’ll break the combo. It’s better to just bang with a square or + I thought there was something wrong with me... But no, after that Cat, Nightwing and Batman passed everything the first time.
