How to unlock the Last transmission achievement in Blair Witch - Definitive Guide

This one's tricky.

First, you have to finish the game. However, you have to find the 9 volt battery in the house at the end of the game. The battery can be found...
Once that happens, head down the hallway toward the stairs, but turn right into a room before you get there. The battery is on a table to the right.

Once you find the battery, you have to finish your game, then start a SECOND game. This time, when you find the bunker, you need to unlock the padlock (I think the code was 2113), then go in and activate the radio. The battery will be inserted, and you'll hear about what happened to Peter.

Yep, that's right. In the first game. Trippy, huh?

Note: there is a possibility that Peter may never be found. I don't know what causes that, but on one of my plays the game said that Peter was never seen from again. (It was the play where I worked to get the dog achievement.) If that happens, I don't know if this achievement will pop. Just a warning. If, however, you start another play, the battery will still be in your inventory.

For a comprehensive guide, see my Not A WalkthroughTM list. It walks you through the entire game, including other story-related and collectible achievements.

This achievement can be a tricky one, First you need to finish your game. You will find the 9 Volt Battery in the house at the end of the game. The Battery can be located just after the jump scare with the monster. Once that happens, head down the hallway towards the stairs, but turn right into a room and the Battery is right on the table.

Once you find your battery you have to finish your game. Then start a 2nd Play-through. When you find the bunker, you need to unlock the padlock. The code is 2113, then go inside insert the Battery into the radio and it will activate. The achievement should pop.

The battery is in the room opposite the stairs on the ground floor. You pick it up once make your way back there after being attacked by a monster.

To clarify, as i havent finished yet. Do playthroughs rollover or something? We get the battery in first playthrough and then will have it in next playthrough? Is it a new game plus option or what? Thanks!

There is no NG+, you just restart the game. The battery will be in your inventory. The game has to be played a couple of times for the endings anyway.

Wow, autocorrect. What the hell is a chittagong??

For anyone curious you get the code while playing with the radio in the sheriffs truck.

Right, you get the code in the truck, and since you can't use the battery the first time, it doesn't matter if you accidentally skip to the next part. Still, that's the code. laugh

Could you be more specific where the battery is? Which scare is it? I made a save in chapter 14 and 17. Which is best to reload?

Certainly. It’s after the first jumpscare and before you go inside a hole in the wall to find a red tape. It’s in the room to the right if you’re facing the stairs.

No. the bunker near the beginning with the lights, near the strange tree.

Haven't seen it noted anywhere but the battery did not show up for me. I believe this is because I never used pickup radio and went to the bunker (as I never knew this was a thing) and once you turn the pickups lights on, you can't backtrack to the bunker. Third playthrough for me...

Radio said Peter was found dead from stab wounds, probably coz I ignored Carver's directions in 1st run lol. The epilogue of 1st run did originally say Peter was never found again tho.

At the end of the game (chapter 17), we find a battery in the house. It is transferred to our inventory and left there for a new game. Next, you need to get into the bunker at the beginning of the game (password 2-1-1-3), put the battery in the radio and find out Peter's fate.

When you find a door with a witch's sign, don't rush to go there. Instead, turn right and go all the way. There will be a battery on the stand.

If you complete the game, then exit it, and later enter and start a New Game, the battery will not be in your inventory!

Very important:
You pick up the battery in Chapter 17, finish the game and IMMEDIATELY start a new one.
Then it will appear in the inventory in the New Game.

I had to replay the ending of Chapter 17 so that I could immediately start the game and make sure that the battery was in place.
