How to unlock the Pointless achievement in Buddy Simulator 1984 - Definitive Guide
This is one of the four possible endings, in which your buddy realizes you must have played the game before and decides that it is worthless because it will eventually be erased. To do this, you must try to access three specific areas in the game earlier than you would normally know about them.
1. During the text introduction, when you first arrive at the lawn (where you can GO to any of HOUSE, SHED, PLAYGROUND, POND), type "GO WELL". Not that there is ever any actual such location or interaction in this part of the game, but your buddy will ask how you know about it.
2. When the game becomes 2D and you arrive Home, go outside and around to the back of your house to try to enter the secret chamber. Upon entering, your buddy will exclaim that it's the second time you're somewhere you shouldn't be, and suggests you play the game it was intended to be played before kicking you out.
3. When the game becomes 2.5D (and in color) and you head to The North for the second time, leave by the southern gate and head through the secret path in the trees, west then north, toward the Snoodlewonker cave. This is the final straw for your buddy, who has a breakdown and ends the game after self-erasing.
Credits will roll and you'll receive a song that you can listen to from the main command line, as well as this achievement.

This is awarded for achieving one of the four endings of the game. To unlock this, you need to:
- In the text adventure portion of the game, when you reach the house, type "go well" to surprise your buddy
- Once the 1D section begins, head outside and try to interact with the hidden door behind your house
- At the start of the 2.5D section, get to the Snoodlewonker's cave through the tree line you exit it from in other playthroughs
